This is an attractive book. The information presented is done so in an all right manner. I am just at a loss as to why anyone would need such a book. No topic provides in-depth knowledge. I suppose a youngster could learn about a variety of topics, being exposed to them. Certainly learning about those topics would require another text.

Brought this home along with a few other reference books for our first grader. Its a great first Encyclopedia for a young reader. I would recommend having something around the house like this for the younger elementary school children to encourage independent reading or to have short facts you can sit and read along with them thus encouraging them to have a love of reading to learn information.
