This is an entertaining collection of stories generally revolving around Heywood's love for fishing and for just being out in nature. The most interesting chapter for me, though, was the collection of entries from his journal as he served in the Air Force during the VietNam War. Not a riveting book, but a pleasant diversion from the world around you for short periods at a time. ...more

An interesting collection of stories. Mostly around fishing which I do not enjoy but still found interesting. Nice flow to the stories.
I have read all of his woods cop series which I like much more.
