I have a passion for storytelling. I write in a conversational tone that is often described as fun and easy. I love my characters to be easy to identify with and feel down to earth. Most of my characters have a girl-next-door feel.

This Jersey girl is happily married to a patient man who has the ability to sustain long hours of rambling thoughts spilling from me non-stop. With the company of my two dogs, I set my writing schedule around their inability to coordinate their potty breaks. :)

~~~~~This review is for Ella Dominguez's book This Love's Not for Sale.~~~~
This Love's Not for Sale is a sassy and sexy read. Alpha, millionaire, Tucker and Lillianna sweet, true to her roots, clash together in a funny, steamy and touching non typical romance. Can two people with one goal to possess Lillianna's Aunt's prize property end up instead possessing each others hearts? This book had me laughing out loud at times and wanting to slap Lillianna and Tucker with a 2x4 at other times. The one thing that had me from page one was the non stop tension between the two. Tension, that only makes the pages steam up hotter when they finally come together and tear up the sheets and whatever else is close to them.
This anthology is out of print at this time. I was able to get it either free or for 99cents on Amazon, but I have not been able to find this title anywhere in epub. Though there are stories I didn't really care for, I am torn between being angry with this set and loving it for the exact same reason... It introduced me to authors to add to my TBR and I already have so many! :o) The set comprises 13 stories by various authors.
WARNING... The stories included deal with sexual themes and situations. Some include rough and explicit language and explicit descriptions of sex acts. The stories range from mild to hot.
Not every story appealed to me. For me...
THE BEST
* I loved Ella Dominguez's story This Love is not for Sale. From the time the two protagonists meet until their HEA, I was hooked. I liked that Lilliana and Tucker were equals, even in her want to be submissive and his to dominate. There is only one thing I didn't like that had Tucker basically forcing Lily to do something she didn't want do and wasn't comfortable doing. He wanted it, so he used circumstances to make it happened. It turned out all right in the end, but I still didn't like how they got there and sort of wish Lily had pushed back more and stood her ground until she made him acquiesce. Then there are a few unanswered questions, but nothing that takes from my enjoyment of the story--which I've reread several times. The story is funny, romantic, hot, sweet, etc. and when it ended, I wished there was more. It made me want to seek out more by the author.
* Daizie Draper's Unlocking the Billionaire is a favorite. WARNING, it's very explicit in parts. Brenna is nanny to Trent's twin sons. She only works during vacations when the boys are home from their boarding school. Since Trent's wife passed away, Trent has been going through the motions--even with the boys--and doesn't seem to realize it. Things come to a head when Brenna punishes the boys for acting out after she'd warned them to stop. Trent calls her in to fire her and she lets him have it. He doesn't know his sons, he sends them away when all they want is to be near him, etc. One thing leads to another and Trent sees a side to himself and to Brenna that opens his eyes to a whole new world. Trent and Brenna so belong together. Their journey to finding their happiness is filled with humor, suspense, hot sex, and love. Brenna is so smart and sassy. I just loved this story. I will be checking out more by Dazie Draper.
* Keeping Tab by Olivia Rigal was such a sweet story. As with the previously mentioned stories, reading this sent me in search of the rest of the Curve Masters series, especially the stories about Tab.
* Cuff Me by Liv Morris tells the story of a woman returning to her small town for an inheritance. She meets up with her best friend's brother, and old crush, after her car breaks down. Romance ensues. Another sweet, funny, and romantic story that had me seeking more by Liv Morris.
* As mentioned, I was annoyed that several stories turned out to be firsts or parts of series. If I want the whole story, I have to track down subsequent parts. This is true of Blair Babylon's Billionaire in Disguise stories. I fell in love with Lizzie and her story, only the beginning of which (2 of 4 parts) is in the anthology. It's quite dark and I found some scenes disturbing, but I'm hooked on this and now the entire series. Dang it! :o) (There are four interwoven series about Billionaires and Rock Stars in disguise. I've started them all.)
THE GOOD
* I was surprised at how much I liked Felicia Tatum's Intoxicating Passion, the sweet love story of college students Korah and Dane.
* I also enjoyed Skye Warren's Rough, Hard, Fierce, the complete--which was one of the things I really liked!--story of Allie and Colin. I have some issues with parts of the story, but overall, I enjoyed it. So... What's wrong...Single mother Allie is not looking for commitment or a relationship. She searches for anonymous sex to scratch an itch when it gets too hard to ignore. However, she falls for Colin pretty quickly--well maybe not falls, but for a leery woman with a child, she allows Colin access to her apartment, to her child, and to her life pretty quickly. This insta-love didn't ruin the story for me, but has been mentioned by others.
THE OKAY to the not appealing to me
* Billionaire’s Plea Bargainby Ava Catori - A client shows a lawyer why she should believe his versions of the events that led to his current lawsuit. Not a bad story, but not as good as others.
*Tender Forces (The Sir & Madam Chronicles-1) by Lili Von - Part 1 to a 3(?)-part story about Cassidy and Ty. Just as they give in to their mutual desires, Cassidy leaves for a job that takes her half-way around the world. I liked this part of the story, but wish it had been complete. I want to find out what happens, but, sadly, not enough to purchase the other parts as of yet. We'll see.
* Club Secrets USA by Layla Wilcox - The COMPLETE story of David and his introduction into the world of BDSM. I liked that it was complete. I don't really know what I don't like. It's not that the story was bad, it just left me feeling blah.
* Complex Triggers by Amy Valenti - The complete story of Tamara and Evan overcoming their issues to be together. It’s a sweet BDSM story. I've since read other works by Valenti.
* Fyre Flame by Pavarti K. Tyler - Fyre notices her neighbor watching her and seeks him out to find out why. The story was okay, but not memorable for me.
* The Menagerie by Sarah M. Cradit - Part of a series I'm not familiar with. After reading this I didn't really want to find out more. Others who've reviewed this anthology have been fans.
Club Secrets
David is home during a break between college and medical school, so what better way to spend his time....put the moves on the neighbor down the block, you know the one that's friends with your mom. ;) The one thing that had me laughing out loud is when David's mother Jen walked in on him pleasuring himself to naked photos of Andrea. TO FUNNY! Why is it that mom's just don't knock...well maybe she will now.
David goes to a sex club looking to have some fun with Andrea and things don't turn out as he had planned but I'd definitely give him brownie points for doing things the right way.
Club Miami
We pick up right where Club Secrets let off, and this story never let up. There was so many things crammed into this quick read I don't know where to begin. First off Danny needs to get a clue and seriously move on, I have a feeling we may have just seen the last of him though. Club Miami is a little different then Club Secrets but much, lots of hot dancing and the backrooms get a good workout.
We are left with a bit of a cliffy so make sure you have Club Secrets Manhattan ready to go. I'm off now to continue David and Andrea's story.
Club Secrets Manhattan
This was a good ending to the story. I liked that David went to Medical school in New York and took classes to learn more about becoming a Dom at the BDSM club that Dirk had told him about. He needed to get away from his parents, Andrea and everyone else he knew in Florida in order for him to really figure out what he wanted to do with his life. Andrea visited him one weekend and they went to play at Club Secrets Manhattan but I have to say I really liked Jessica who he was partnered up with in their BDSM class, she was there learning to become a submissive. Great ending!
A great value with books by great authors!
So far I've only read the two Billionaires in Disguise: Lizzy stories from this boxed set (I've actually read the whole series and it's fantastic!). I know I will get to the other stories soon but here's my review so far, based on those two stories. Cliffhanger alert: only the first two episodes of a 4 part serial are contained in the boxed set.
We met Lizzy in the Billionaires In Disguise (BID): Rae series but you don’t have to have read that series to read this one. Lizzy is somewhat troubled. She thinks she loves the Dom of the Devilhouse but he’s in love with Rae.
This is a hard book for me to review. I’ve read the entire series and loved it. Since I read them all, one right after the other, it’s a bit difficult to separate one episode from the other.
In this episode Lizzy kind of falls for two VERY different men: Theo and Mannix. Before the end of the series she will have to choose between them.
The BID: Lizzy books are a bit darker than the Rae books but it fits for Lizzy’s character. This series is full of sexy and not so sexy times. It is also full of intrigue and some violence. I did not want to stop reading this series once I started.
Be warned that there is strong language and some possibly disturbing scenes in this book. There is also a cliffhanger, which I usually hate. I love Blair Babylon’s books, though so I will read her books with cliffhangers.
Episode 2.
In this episode we learn more about Lizzy’s past. We also find that things are getting more and more rough between her and Mannix. This episode contains even more disturbing things than episode 1 but it seems necessary for the overall story.
If you read the BID: Rae series, and you want more of her and Wulf, you MUST read BID: Lizzy.
Club Secrets
By Layla Wilcox
4 1/2 Stars
David Hauser is home on break from college. David is getting ready to go to medical school. While in his bedroom, he goes to use an old computer and discovers it is logged into a porn site. David is shocked to learn that some of the naked photos are of the beautiful and sexy neighbor, Andrea Whitney. She is his mother's friend, and David used babysit for Andrea's children. David has had a crush on her, since he was fifteen years old. While David is enjoying Andrea's photos, his mother walks in on him. Very embarrassing. David learns that Andrea frequents a place called Club Secrets and is on her way there. He goes there in hopes of meeting up with Andrea. Once at Club Secrets, David discovers a very different scene than he is used to, but he does find Andrea. David helps Andrea out, when she is drunk, harassed by a man, and in a scary situation.
This is book one of three in the series. Andrea is a woman who is exploring her sexual side. David makes his way through the clubs, in each book. I liked that David is a gentlemen, but has a naughty, dirty side. I loved his answer to what his medical specialty would be. Hilarious! This is a very steamy and fast read. A fan may be required while reading this story.
This review is for The Menagerie by Sarah Cradit.
As Ms Cradit says at the start of this short bonus story from the Crimson and Clover series, it’s for readers who like a spicier interlude. And spicy it is!
Cyler is attending an Empyrean graduation hoping to see his hero, the Grand Duke, Agripin. Unable to get close enough to speak to him that night, Cyler senses an opportunity when he is invited to The Menagerie by Agripin’s sister, the Duchess Oriana.
Hanna is one of several young Children of Men, male and female, taken from their homes and brought to The Menagerie for the pleasure of those Empyreans whose presence was requested by the Duchess. Although supposedly given the choice to stay or leave, after her transformation and initiation with Cyler, Hannah has no qualms about staying. Apart from the growing feelings between herself and Cyler, the accommodation was sumptuous, a lush paradise, where every need was met. Rules were strictly enforced, some punishable by death. Hannah and Cyler were risking breaking the rule of no attachment between the Empyreans and the Menagerie ‘pets’. But Cyler is due to leave and he is determined to take Hannah with him……
* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. I am only reviewing The Menagerie by author Sarah M. Cradit*
This story was completely different than any book by author Sarah M. Cradit. She doesn't usually incorporate any of the erotic into her stories but just like she does with every other story that she has written she does it well!! She totally rocked it and made it one of her best books ever! She continues to grab ahold of the readers attention and doesn't let it go until the very end of the book and even then it is hard for the reader to stop thinking about it. Long after the story is finished the reader is thinking about the characters and what path they may take next...but no matter how good of a story they write in their heads it doesn't ever compare to the one that author Sarah M. Cradit will write next. Each time I finish a book by her I am already looking forward to the next! She is an amazing author that writes amazing stories!! If you haven't tried her yet, you need too! You are missing out on an amazing story, group of characters that will become life long friends! Add this and all of her others to your TBR list!
The Menagerie by Sarah Cradit is part of the Red Hot & Tied Down boxed set. I’m a long-time fan of Sarah Cradit’s series House of Crimson and Clover. While The Menagerie is definitely a lagniappe associated with her series, it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone short story in the boxed set.
The Menagerie is an underground, Emperian-made “Garden of Eden” where humans are kept as pets for the sexual satisfaction of Duchess Oriana and her select guests. The duchess states, “For what are we without our free will?”, and her newest interest, Cyler (AKA Vakkar) wonders just how much free will there is in the Menagerie.
As is to be expected, Sarah Cradit has painted a vivid scene in which her latest story takes place. Character development in a short story is limited, but her main characters, are anything but flat. I enjoyed this hot little read, and I am looking forward to seeing how Ms. Cradit’s newest characters will fit into her series.
If the other stories in the Red Hot & Tied Down boxed set are half as good as Sarah Cradit’s The Menagerie, they’ll all be five star reads.
Club Secrets USA
Club Secrets was a fast and fun read. It wasn’t so much of a romance but one young man’s journey of sexual self discovery as he navigates through the swinger lifestyle and BDSM training to become a Master.
David Hauser is on summer break before he goes to medical school at Columbia in New York. While at home he discovers a sexy web site left open on his old computer. What a shock to find a neighbor he’s had a crush on since his teenage years among the sexually explicit photos on the site. What David discovers from his parents and neighbor, Andrea Whitney is
mind boggling but he is very much interested in the lifestyle. This story includes Club Secrets, Club Miami, and Club Manhattan. it’s a very believable story, and wow, I recommend it with all the hot scenes, not to mention towards the end I was really rooting for Jessica, his new submissive, and David. Great job, Ms. Wilcox.
I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
If you read The House of Crimson and Clover Series by Sarah M. Cradit, you'll be familiar with the characters in this short story. The Menagerie is mentioned in a prior book in this series, but the reader is given a more more in depth view of exactly what goes on in this secretive club of pleasure and fantasy. Invitations to join are highly coveted, but members must learn the rules and, most importantly, abide by them, or they face severe consequences. All is not what it seems. This is a steamy, sensual tale that doesn't disappoint and if you're unfamiliar with this series, The Menagerie can easily be read as a standalone.
I received a digital ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
An interesting change of pace from Ms. Cradit. A short story about an Emperian sex club. Cyler is invited by the Dutchess Oriana, who runs The Menagerie, to join. He joins but once he meets Hanna he starts to question everything the Dutchess has told him about "the human pets". The question plaguing him most is are "the pets" that the Emperians kidnap staying there of their own free will because of the terrible lives they lived before or are they really just sex slaves? Will Hanna give up all she has and will have in the Menagerie for Cyler? Will he give up his dream of joining Duke Agripin for Hanna? A different tale of love and loss among the Emperians. "This review is for the first two books in the Billionaires in Disguise: Lizzy, series, which is contained in this boxed set."
Lizzy's story is the second in the BID series and well worth reading. You don't have to read Rae's story, but it will give you lots of background that will make it easier to understand what is going on.
In the second book of Lizzy's story, we learn so much more about Lizzy in this episode and everything that she has been through. I was happy to see that toward the end of this one, we see more of the Lizzy that we originally saw in the first series from Rae's POV. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**
I have only read one book from the boxed set. The Menagerie is what I'll be reviewing today.
I have read many books by this author, Sarah Cradit. She's outdone herself with this one. It's smokin' hot! The menagerie might not be what you would think. It's a paradise of sexual pleasure and fantasy. One rule is not to spend too much time with the same partner. If you're an Empyrean, you definitely don't want to fall in love with a child of man. Watch out, this author has a dangerous imagination!
This short story is a small part of The Crimson and Clover series. If you love this, you will absolutely want to read more of this outstanding series. Sarah deserves five stars for this one!
"This review is for Billionaires in Disguise: Lizzy, which is contained in this boxed set." A very hot book by Blair Babylon. I've read Lizzy's story by Blair Babylon. Lizzy's story was different but just as intense as Rae's story. Poor Lizzy, she thought she was broken. Glad she found someone to show her that was far from the truth!
I'm looking forward to reading the other stories in the set!
