Born in Brazil but currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Chris’ life took a totally different course when technology came into play, and the following 17 years were spent delving deep into the world of programming and web design.
It was in 2010, when Chris began role playing online as a hobby, that writing wormed its way back into the picture. This time, writing storylines for the role playing group.
The ideas and plots created for the game awoke the inner writer and a few months later, together with partner in crime C. Aubrey, began writing erotic romance.
Now, still together, they have written a number of short stories and novel. They are currently working on book three of their series as well as several short stories. Through it all they have continued to enjoy role playing through their favorite characters.

Trevor and Cassie Bauer are working hard on a case, spending hours upon hours in front of their computers. As the saying goes, all work and no play makes for a boring life. Trevor suggests a walk through a nearby park and a movie. After some prodding, Cassie agrees and while on their way to the movies, they grab some ice cream. Cassie puts on quite a show while eating it and Trevor decides that a little payback is in order when they get to the movies. Just how far will he go to get back at his wife?
All I can say is WOW. This quick short story will have you squirming in seconds. If a normal love scene is a small campfire, Almeida and Aubrey dump a can of gasoline on it and then skip away leaving you wanting more. It's that hot.
Trevor is in full Alpha Geek mode in this short. He knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. There is great narration about how Trevor has learned what Cassie likes and how he uses all of the tricks to exact his payback. It is the perfect cocky response to a situation that readers have grown to love and expect from Trevor.
Aubrey and Almeida have added another great short story to this scorching hot series. This is not a standalone novella. You definitely have to have read the other books in the Countermeasure Series to appreciate this story. For fans of the series and of the Bauers, this is a delicious way to see more of our favorite couple.

After spending many hours working on a case Trevor talks Cassie into a walk in the park and a movie. Cassie decided to tease Trevor and well he decides it's time for paybacks...during the movie. Hot and steamy. Its fun to read these bits and get to know Trevor and Cassie better. Love this series.

In Payback, another Bit of Life by Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey, we follow married couple Trevor and Cassandra on yet another steamy little adventure. Trevor and Cassandra are the hero/heroine in the full length novels in the Countermeasure Series and reoccur in just about all novellas and short stories thereafter. The Bits of Life are short stories that give us a glimpse into the couples' lives when they are not hunting down a clue about Trevor's missing parents or consulting on a case for the NSA or CIA.
You will quickly understand why Payback is the title of this book and why Cassandra is more than willing to accept the payback Trevor decides to unleash on her. Something I adore in each of the Bits and Bytes of Life with these two is how they continue to grow with one another. Marriage does not slow them down. Trevor is always challenging Cassandra to live a little outside of her spreadsheets. Not everything in life should be planned. Sometimes there are risks one takes that have very satisfying rewards.
Payback proves to be one of those rewarding situations. Trevor pushes Cassandra to partake in a wild and hot little adventure in a public place. This guy. You can't help but love him. The great part about his crazy plans is that he always has his wife's best interests at heart. It's all about her pleasure. Don't we all love that in a romance hero?
Almeida and Aubrey are very adept at writing intimate scenes with such careful detail that you find yourself squirming while reading. You literally have a physical reaction to the books because you are pulled into the passion of the scene. Who doesn't love that? I don't want to give away too much about what happens in the book, but just know that it is smoking hot and most likely you will be thinking about Payback the next time you go to a movie theater. Enjoy!

A devilishly sexy afternoon jaunt…
This is a short story in the Countermeasures series, a snatch of time in the lives of Cassandra and Trevor Bauer who are still in their first year of marriage. The two have been swamped with work lately and feeling the frustration. Watching Cassandra staring wistfully out the window where it can be seen that it’s a gorgeous day outside Trevor gets the idea that a little bit of distraction would be good for their spirits.
Sometimes you have to walk away from an exasperating task to make better progress later on with a clearer mind so it doesn’t take Trevor much to convince Cassandra that a walk through the park and a movie are just what they both need. Being so newly married they’re still very passionate and they do love to tease each other. Who would have thought that enjoying an ice cream cone could bring about a need for payback? What Cassandra did to that luscious treat made Trevor decidedly uncomfortable, an idea forms in his rather dirty mind and in typical Trevor style he pushes his wife’s boundaries where she never expected he would. Thank goodness the luck of the Irish is on his side for he does cut things close.
That was quite a steamy, devilishly sexy afternoon jaunt these two had. The love they share makes me smile often. Trevor has an inherent love of enjoying each and every moment in his life and is teaching Cassandra to loosen up and do the same. The depth of their love and the trust that it engenders sets both their spirits free from normal convention from time to time. I do love the attention to detail the authors use in these bits of life, there’s so much in the environment that the reader can picture.

Work and no fun makes for a very melancholy situtation. Trevor sees that is Cassie and suggest a day of ice cream and a movie which turns into a stroll and hot foreplay in the cinema.
