They present 13 papers by scholars and practitioners that examine the role of the United Nations in relation to different aspects of each of theses pillars, including September 11th and challenges to international law, military ethics in peacekeeping and war, human security, human rights, marginalization and globalization, human rights and the Millennium Development Goals, urban sustainable development, youth participation and representation at the UN, and the United States and United Nations governance.
