The New Life Insurance Investment Advisor: Achieving Financial Security for You & Your Family Through Today's Insurance Products

Rate this book
When The Life Insurance Investment Advisor was first published in 1988 it received rave reviews from financial experts such as Terry Savage and Douglas Fabian. Attorneys, CPAs, CFPs and trust officers found it a useful tool in advising their clients on insurance matters. The New Life Insurance Investment Advisor continues to provide consumers, investors, financial planners, insurance professionals and accountants with a solid understanding of today's life insurance products - how to analyze them based on their investment merits and how to select them for the best overall financial returns possible. The first edition predicted the inevitable popularity of variable universal life. This new edition concentrates on it as the life insurance product of choice - a financial product "for all seasons." It is the only product that can be managed by policy owners to suit their own financial needs and minimize their financial risk ... if they only knew how! With this book, author Ben Baldwin teaches you how.

I purchased the first edition of this book back when it was published, during a time when I actively marketed Variable Universal Life (VUL), before the invention of Indexed Universal Life (IUL), which has largely replaced VUL in my life insurance practice.

The concepts still apply. This is an excellent resource for the life insurance practitioner, and for any agent that wants to understand how the Universal Life chassis functions.

Very thorough, but paints the epicure that a variable universal life policy is the "Swiss-army knife" of investment products. So it is a bit biased.

This is a must read for anyone that is serious about selling life insurance and actually wants to know how it works and can be applied in the real world instead of the complete garbage that is handed down by the training at the majority of insurance agencies just to sell their product.
