4 - Death comes to us all... Even in fairy tales. Stars!

The third book in the Wolfe Creek series more than made up for the disappointment of its predecessor for me. Kaylie Newell pitched Aimee and Jake’s story perfectly. Well-paced, beautifully descriptive and extremely eerie right up until it’s heart-pounding ending.

If you have read the previous two books in the series you will know a little about Aimee Styles already, her death (or supposed death) was the catalyst that bought her best friend

Can be read as a standalone

Aimee was a werewolf that didn't know how to adjust to society. Only a few people in her circle knew she was alive living in the woods. One day she gets terribly sick and the sexy doctor Jake helps her get better. He knew who she was, and he promised not to tell anyone she was alive.

The romance between them grew, until Jake realized that he's in love with someone that should be dead. How can he have a normal life with her? There was also this evil pr

The Wolfe Creek series has been hit and miss for me so far, the first book was outstanding but the second seriously fell short, so to discover early on that the magic had returned in The Moonshadow’s Daughter restored my faith hugely.

description

Kaylie Newell has recreated the eerie darker atmosphere that held me captive throughout the first book, Lone Wolfe Protector, and combined with warmth, intimacy and couple who endear themselves, it quickly grabbed hold. As far as the world is concerned Aimee Styles

ARC REVIEW

The Moonshadow's Daughter is part of Wolfe Creek series, even though you can read it as a stand alone, I felt something was lacking because I haven't read the previous books. Part of that was Aimee, she's going through the transition of normal young woman to werewolf functioning in a normal society; but you come in halfway through that transition. You don't see much growing as a character because of it. The book does have a definite creep factor, the mentions and sections where "somet

WOW! This has been the book in the Wolfe Creek series that I have been eagerly awaiting… Aimee’s story. It does not disappoint.
When the series started Aimee Styles’s best friend Maggie came to town to investigate her death when in reality fast forward two years later, Aimee is alive and is now a werewolf. Everyone in the town thinks she is dead—except the chosen few who know of her secret. Aimee plans to keep to herself and not let anyone know she is alive and keep going on the way she is-alone

I have to admit that I did not know what to expect from this book. I was so pleasantly surprised though! I have not read the first two books in the series, but I was able to pick right up with this one no problem. I really want to go back and read the first two now though!! This was such a great story. I didn't really even realize that this was a story about shifters, that is how well Kaylie Newell did with this story. I got sucked in from page one and could not put it down. I rarely read paranormal adult romances – somehow for me shifters are much better off in a YA novel rather than an adult one. You may be thinking, then why am I requesting a paranormal book to review? Truth is, somehow this blurb struck a chord with me – maybe it’s the element of suspense in it or the element of heavy angst in it – I do remember I was in a mood for a heavy angsty read and there

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing (Covet) for an honest review. I requested this book since the synopsis sounded interesting and the first book in the series had very high ratings and reviews. This is the third in the series and although it could be read as a standalone, I would strongly suggest reading them in order. I'm glad I invested in the time to go back and read the first two. Since I knew what this book was about, it kind of spoiled book 1 and par ...more

Jake Blackstock finds himself fiercely attracted to Kaylie despite her secrets and the shadows in her eyes in this thrilling paranormal romance.

Since being bitten by a werewolf, Aimee Styles has let everyone believe she’s dead and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the story as circumstances interrupt her self-imposed lifestyle and puts her right in the path of the sexy doctor. The chemistry is sweet and spicy and the sex scenes are hot but with secrets and painful pasts against them there

The Moonshadow's Daughter is the third and presumably final novel in the Kaylie Newell-penned paranormal romance series entitled Wolfe Creek. Fans of the series have gotten bits and pieces of Aimee Styles's story of how she came to be a werewolf and her decision to go into hiding. Here, readers finally get the resolution to her tale and she finds it with Dr. J

I feel like this book should come with a warning: Love triangle ahead!

Yeah, so the hero is recently widowed (less than one year really) and let's just say that he's not over her death - AT ALL. Now don't get me wrong, I know everyone has a life before but really, what happened between Lizzie, Jake and Aimee just did not seem all that fair to anyone. (view spoiler)

Great book! Loved the characters and how they developed. Both the H and h were easy to like. There were some sweet moments and some blush worthy ones as well. Overall I was happy with the story and look forward to reading more of this authors work in the future.

Shifter/werewolf books are always hard for me to pick up. They either try to replace substance with a lot of sex or they're filled with insta-love and someone finding their "one true mate" where they instantly fall into feelings and emotions. And let's face it add more sex over

The Good
The beginning was pretty good. Aimee is living in the woods, on her own, in a self-imposed isolation ever since she was bitten and became a werewolf. Those woods are freaking creepy! Something is watching her and it's not a nice something. After getting the flu, she meets a nice doctor and his son and feels the need to protect them from whatever is stalking them and her. So she moves in with them. Aaaaannnnd that's it.
The Bad

It’s not easy, staying “dead” to the world, yet Aimee had managed it for about two years now. Living in isolation, an outsider truly looking in on any of the goings on in her former home town, Aimee intended to keep her distance and her secret. Since being bitten, Aimee has lived in hiding, barely surviving but so far she has kept her life in not her sanity. Now a flu virus is her largest threat.

Jake wasn’t expecting the attraction he felt toward Aimee. Yes, he

The Moonshadow's Daughter is a paranormal romance that is part of the Wolfe Creek series but it can be read a standalone. The story of Aimee however started during the first book but it was fairly easy to follow the story line even you start reading this one right away.

You know those times when you’re starting to wake up but you’re still dreaming and then it’s like you can remember some parts of the dream but they don’t feel completely connected to each other? Well, that’s how I felt while reading this book.

I understand this one is in the middle of a series, but I usually get the flow of the overall story as much as the specific plot for the current book, no such luck here. It was like nothing truly connected with the rest and then even those separate

This is a great paranormal love story that left me wanting more! Aimee has been thought dead

for the past two years and has intentionally left it that way in order to keep those in her life safe from

her new secret. She’s been living a simplistic life in the mountains far from civilization and had no

intentions of coming back from the dead anytime soon. Circumstances change however and she is

forced to seek out the help of the handsome and single local doctor in order to save her life one night

Newell's Wolfe Creek series has been a collection of books that I have been enjoying as the novels themselves possess a strong, paranormal romance theme. However I was disappointed with the latest release of The Moonshadow's Daughter as I felt like the mystery of the forest of Wolfe Creek completely overshadowed the romance.

I think the main reason that I liked this book was the fact that it is the Autumn season and the book reflects that tone. It's somewhat spooky and seductive, but not enough t

This is a complex paranormal romance packed with angst and turmoil as well as horrendous threatening dangers and secrets which could thwart all their opportunities for happiness.

She has chosen to do this because she is now a werewolf and doesn't see how she can go back to living her previous life though she has maintained contact with her best friend, Magg

This was one I was anxious to read especially since I have read the ones proceeding this one. In this one is the girl that brought her friend her in the first place. Aimee is thought to be dead by most but she really is just different now. Aimee has been missing for over two years, and when she comes down with the flu, she has no choice but to seek help from another werewolf in her area, who calls a Dr. to help her. I love this series because it's so different from your typical werewolf scene. We met Aimee in the first book and now this is her story. I loved seeing Maggie again too! And even Zane! It's such a unique take, where Aimee is trying to deal with being bitten and is literally living like a wolf! Out in a cave with no real human contact. My heart broke a little.

When Aimee gets really sick, she can't help it anymore, she needs help. So she goes to Jim, the in keeper at koda and zane's mom's b&b
