A bit uneven, but there are some absolutely hilarious bits that make it a worthwhile read for Father Ted fans.

Written as many periodicals edited together into one big book, this book is based on the hit series Father Ted, of which I am a huge fan, having lived in Birkenhead, across from Ireland, while the programme was airing. It is written mostly by Father Ted Crilly, but has many other "writers", inluding Father Dougal MacGuire, and Mrs. Doyle, as well as other Craggy Island residents and other members of the Clergy. The adverts in it are quite hilarious, and the articles, written seriously, but definitely not meant to be taken as such, are not without their charm! The true writer is Graham Linehan, who wrote the series for TV, and is also the writer of many other fantastic series that I am a HUGE fan of. So, as far as I am concerned, Mr. Linehan can do no wrong. I laughed a lot while reading this fun bit of easy-reading.
