MAY CONTAIN SPOILER:

This book was very enjoyable for me.

This book was about a boy named Jude and he loved the moon so much. He called the moon "Jude's Moon" and said the moon was his very best friend. He always had a big smile when he saw the moon. One day he came out to see moon and the moon wasn't big and round. He went and got his big ladder so he could see what happened to his best friend. After that, Jude learned about the phases of the moon.

My favorite character is the moon because at night I like looking at the moon.

This story captures the beauty of the one little boy who loves the moon and believes he is the only one that can see and so he loves to share his love of the moon with his mother. It captures the innocence of childhood wonder and beauty of the world we live in.
This is gong to be a great book to share with my boys because in addition to being a sweet story about a boys fascination with the moon is also teaches us about the phases of the moon.

An error in the depiction of the mother, otherwise it is a great science lesson

While this is a good story involving the imagination of a child, there is one feature that I found disturbing. Jude’s mother is drawn as an extremely thin, probably dangerously so, person. She is wearing a purple dress where her arms and legs are bare, barely existent. The two brothers are drawn with normal proportions, giving the reader a point of reference. She is a malnourished Barbie Doll.
The other aspects of the story make it a good science lesson regarding the phases of the moon, what they are called and what causes them. Jude is fascinated by the moon and does several things to make his own pseudo moon. If it were not for what I consider the flaw of thinness, this would be a very good book.

i got this book sent to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review

this was a great book and it showed children about sharing and what it means to people

jude loves the moon. he likes how big and round it is. when he does a good deed or share she would tell him that he hung the moon. so when he went to sleep he was dreaming about climbing a big latter and hanging on the moon.

what I thought was the funniest is when their was only a little moon and his brother called it a crescent moon and for the life of him thought it was a croissant!! that made me think of my own kids and how their thought process was!

this is a great story for an adult or a child!

This is a wonderful book for children and adults who find the moon exciting to look at. The book is about Jude and his travels and discoveries about the moon. So many different shapes, full moon, new moon, and so many more. It helps children learn about the moon and it's phases. There are bright illustrations showing the different phases off the moon and pictures of Jude and his travels.

I was given a complimentary copy of JUDE'S MOON from the author, Nancy Guettier and Bostick Communications for my view of the book. No other compensation took place.

Jude’s Moon is the story of Jude and imagination that the moon is his very own balloon. He receives a lesson in the moon’s phases as he discovers that the moon looks like a banana and not a round ball. The story then explains why the moon like it does from the first quarter moon through the cycle of phases. Jude loves the moon and its light: his very own flashlight. Beautifully written and illustrated. Highly recommended!

Jude loves the moon. Teaches about the moon and relation with the sun. Informational, but not really fun.
