Londoner Bill Cooper specialises in performing arts' photography. His stage production work developed from his early career as a dancer in Europe and the UK, demonstrating his empathy for, and understanding of, all the preparation on and off-stage that goes into producing a live performance.
As a dancer, Bill appeared with companies in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Portugal before completing his career at Scottish Ballet for four years where its founder, Peter Darrell encouraged him to develop his eye for capturing performance on camera.
Today Bill works for all the major opera and ballet companies in the UK, whilst commissions abroad have taken him to companies in Tokyo, New York, Wellington (New Zealand), Paris, Madrid, Turin, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
