Im so upset that I have to wait for the sequel because I NEED THE NEXT ONE NOW! When I first saw the cover I thought “I have to have this book” It just looks like a bunch of paranormal awesomeness and boy was it!

When I first started to read this book I was a bit unsure how I felt about it… Finn is a normal clumsy teenage girl who like most of us doesn’t (or in my case didn’t) really favour high school. She has one close friend Tyler who is the dreamy jock guy who seems to have a crush on Finn and she hasn’t noticed.. very cute I must admit! Then comes along Eamon and things are all about to change, believe me.

At first I felt the book wasn’t for me, Finn comes across naïve for a 16 year old and the way h

I received this ebook in exchange of a honest review and this does not affect my opinion on this review.

I wasn’t expecting to like this book so much. When I read the synopsis I was a little cautious because it has been a while that I have read about witches. But I was dead wrong and I'm glad to say that.

Finn is a teenage girl who lives pretty much a normal life, until she discovers that she is not just a normal teenager. She is a witch. She is smart, strong, persistent, courageous and fearless.

A lost legacy: Awakening is the first installment in the Lost Legacies series. Finn Adams thought she was living a normal life, until one day everything she once believed turned out a lie.

Wow, this book was not what I expected! I remember getting into the story with not knowing what to expect but C.E. DIMOND, you blew me away!

Fionnuala "Finn" is just a normal 16 year old girl, who pretty much keeps to herself. It's just her and her mother. Father died when she was 3. Keeps to herself and is often left in her own company.

Enter Eamon. New guy in town. Keeps his distance at first then suddenly takes an interest in Finn, being her "protecter" of sorts.

In an instant everything changes for Finn, her mother is gone. She's been having these unusual dreams, is able to stop a glass falling from midair!!!

I loved the writing style in this novel because it was easy to read and had a way of keeping you up to read more and more.

I loved all the characters especially Finn and Neely. Finn has a strong character and she was like the center of the attention, while Neely was so sweet and so caring to Finn. I do loved Eamon too! His personality was difficult to guess. His mood changes all the time. But his relationship with Finn was totally adorable. They were c

This book. Wow.

Firstly, let me start off by thanking the author for sending me a Ebook copy of this book and allowing me to write it. Everything in this review is honest and 100% my own opinion, to clarify.

But wow!

From the first few pages I couldn’t help myself but fall in love with it. It was fresh, different, exciting and had a lack of extreme romance, that I actually enjoyed.

The Irish witch and warlock legacies intrigued me, learning about the different houses and the people within them reall

Finn Adams thinks she is just a normal girl, until one day, her mother goes missing. With no help from the police, Finn finds herself in the company of Eamon, the new boy in the area.

From the beginning, Finn doesn't trust him and wants the truth. But when she gets the truth it isn't what she is expecting. She is a witch, but there is more to it than she thinks.

So there I was, ready to buy the sequel to this book and continue reading the second I finished this, only to realize it only comes out this summer. Damn it!
This was such a wonderful story that had me at the first page. I love the witch element, it had been a long time since I've last read a book with witches.
I desperately need the next book and more romance.
This is definitely a perfect book to set up a great series. I'm excited.

I'm not usually a big fan on books about witches.. I don't know why. This novel did a good job though, I wasn't bored. There was enough action to keep me reading and the main characters weren't irritating. I actually liked them and felt invested in them. I'm curious to see how everything goes on the next book because it left on a pretty dramatic note!!!

I was conscious of reading this book because I have not read about witches for so long. But I am glad that I took the chance and read this book.

I like the fact that the book has a glossary for all the names in the book. I was trying out names before I started reading and this helps a lot when reading. Some names were unfamiliar to me so the glossary came in handy. It's a very cool thing that you can n

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

In the entirety of my reading and reviewing career (so to say), I'm greatly pleased to say that C.E. Dimond is one of the most talented authors I've had the privilege to come across. She knows how to institute memorable characters. She knows how to construe an intriguing story line. AND (most of all), she dutifully keeps the plot moving with suspense and action. With every second I was reading I didn't want to put the book down in case I missed a crucial, thrilling moment.

4.5/5 stars... Honest opinion

The book began with our main character Finn who for better words is a loner expect for her only friend Tyler who is far from shy or an introvert. Soon we meet a new student whose not from their town and like all new students he is handsome and mysterious. Soon after meeting each other you felt the vibe (you know the vibe where you live to hate the person but eventually it's couplings)

I would have like the info on Finn backstory and why she's important to this coven

Honest I will be. Wow. I really liked this book. It has some YA predictability, except that I can't help but get the feeling that the author might be luring us into a false sense of she wants us to think we know where the story is going, but there might be a twist lingering. MY FEELS.

This is a debut effort from the writer to. Wow. It's got similar themes to some of my favorite series but a unique identity of its own too. I think the

I really liked this book. The prologue was mysterious and really hooked me into the story because I just had to know why that was happening! I also really liked the main character Finn, she sort of finds herself in the story.

She is kind of sassy but also has her sweet and vulnerable moments. She goes from being afraid, confused and vulnerable to finding her own strength. It's only the first book in this series so I'm really excited to see how her character builds.

I like that there are hints of

The cover of this book intrigued me and am glad I won a giveaway for it. Is the story of Finn, a young girl who is somewhat of a loner whose Mom disappears. She is frantically looking for her when the new boy from school arrives on her doorstep and leads her into a whole new realm of Irish lore and her birthright. She discovers her missing Mom is not her birth Mom and her birth Dad is on an evil path. She is drawn into a group of trainers to discover she has powers and must learn to use them for ...more

A really enjoyable story. It is definitely the beginning of something big.

The air of mystery and secrets will definitely have me coming back for more. I want nothing more than a happy ending for the families who have clearly known much sadness.

The friendship between Finn and Eaman will be interesting to see develop. Communication will definitely need to improve for something longer term.

Only thing that bothered me was that Finn got pulled out of school. The boys all got to go to school, why n

I really liked this book. I find it hard to get into books sometimes but had no trouble once I started reading this one. My favorite thing about the story was the magic and the tie in with Irish history and myth. I am Irish so I found it really interesting!

I love Finn and Eamon's relationship even though it isn't the focus of the story, it really hints at it and I think that it's really adorable the way they argue.

I can't wait for Descending.

The Writing:
The writing was okay. This was a fast paced book and easy to read. We read all from Finn's POV. I would like to read from Eamon's POV too.
Oh! And I think it's very helpful the Pronunciation Guide because some of the names are a bit difficult.

The Story:
If you like City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, you might like this.
This story has many similar things to City of Bones. Starting with mother disappeared. Crazy, bad father after his daughter. Not knowing who she really was.
