A very thorough and comprehensive review of classic cycling trips from all over the world. There are short descriptions of most countries you can cycle through and some you may be able to cycle through, visa details for those from the US or EU are included but anyone else will have to do their own research. Interspersed through the book are stories from those who have or are touring on small or multi-year trips, along with the bikes they are riding and their best and worst days.
Even if you're not into these length of trips or would rather skip the cycling and just visit, there is some fantastic advise in this book for deciding where to go, how expensive the country will be to visit and what roads are good.

This book is waaaaay more intense than I need. I skimmed it, but it is for people who want to ride their bike across a continent, not people like me that want to take a local three day trip.

A good guide for world bike packing. However, more research would be required for each individual country if I would go to.

The Bible for undertaking long-distance cycle touring trips! I can't believe such a book has been written, there is so much knowledge and information condensed in there! I made lots of notes for my upcoming trip. I enjoyed the stories at the end of the book too. A shame there is no more recent edition available though as some information such as border crossings and visas need to be updated no doubt.
