Originally published in 1984 by Times Books, this was the first cookbook that my mom (and 2 of her friends) published. I've been cooking from this book for years, and my copy is battered, splattered and completely falling apart (a compliment to any cookbook). Lots of good basic recipes. It's not in print anymore, but worth searching out.
