Paige Toon has been one of my favourite authors ever since I read Lucy in the Sky and I count those first four books - Lucy in the Sky, Chasing Daisy, Johnny Be Good & Pictures of Lily some of my favourite books, ever. But I wasn't so enamoured with the past few, if I'm being perfectly honest, so I was a bit dubious about reading The One We Fell In Love With, because I didn't want yet another love triangle book - or, in this case, a love quadrangle, if that's even a thing? But The One We Fel ...more

What a beautiful story. Paige Toon has done it again... She manages to make me feel so many emotions in every one of her books, laughter and tears. I was really quite shocked about half way through this story, I had to go back and see if I'd missed something, but no, it was intended to be that way and it certainly was a massive shock.

I loved this book, fell in love with all of the characters and it kept me wanting to know more, especially after the massive surprise halfway through! It was then t

Where did good old Paige Toon go? Where did those typical chic lit stories go? I don't know about 'the sun in her eyes', because I haven't read that yet (maybe because it didn't sound chic lit-y enough already? I'm not sure), but 'the one we fell in love with' was not how I wanted it to be. I don't know..

OK, so the story follows Phoebe, Rose and Eliza, who are identical triplets. At some point Angus enters the picture by moving in next to them. He's the one they all fell in love with. Over the c

Overall, I think I have to say that this book just wasn't for me. It was confusing and kind of boring and there were moments when I had to force myself to not give up on it. I'm pretty sad about that because Paige Toon is one of my all-time favorite authors and out of the 11 books I've read by her so far, this is the first one that I can barely say anything positive about. What I usually love the most about her books is that they're always such quick reads and allow me to just get lost in the st ...more

Three identical triplet sisters, Phoebe, Eliza and Rose, fall in the love with the same boy, their next door neighbour, Angus.

This is the premise of this novel.

I must say I had no expectations as I had no idea what it was about, but I was hoping it'd be light and, of course, enjoyable. And it sure was. I thought the story was done very well, with alternate points-of-view from the three sisters and a little bit from Angus.

Paige Toon delivered a heartfelt story, with all very loveable characters.

New year, new Paige Toon book! This is actually one of the highlights in my book blogging year. This year is even more special, because it’s her 10th novel (not counting her YA books).
Paige really surprised me with this book, it’s unexpected and unique and I mean that all in a good way!!!

The story follows triplets: Phoebe, Rose and Eliza, they all fell for the same guy. When they were 17 years old Angus moved in next door. Phoebe saw him first, but did she really?! Well they got together, but al

This book was exactly what I needed.

It follows the story of the triplets Phoebe, Rose and Eliza who all, at the age of seventeen, fall for their drop dead gorgeous neighbour Angus. But Angus doesn't exist in two more copies and cannot clone himself which means that only one of the sisters can have him.

The story jumps back and forth in time as secrets are being revealed, and the reader is introduced to the 10 years time that has passed since the sisters all fell in love with Angus; everyone has t

This is one of the GREATEST chick-lit books I've read in a while! It shook me, broke me and made my heart all warm and happy again! 😢
I admit I didn't expect myself to love this so much but I DO.
BRAVO, Paige Toon! ❤

The premise of this book is fascinating. It’s unusual enough to read about triplets, but add a mutual love interest an

Thank you so much to the author and Simon & Schuster UK for the very lovely proof copy. I am privileged!

Oh swoon! Get your tissues ready, and be prepared to howl with anguish/laughter/anger/laughter.

Sibling rivalry is rampant in the Thomson family. Triplets who are only identical in looks, and in their taste in men - one man in particular. In every other way they are dramatically different. No one can say no to Phoebe, nor do they want to; Rose is sometimes 'prickly' but practical, and Eliz

Oh wow. It never took me more than 2 days to read one of Paige's novels, but right now I'm kinda glad life got in the way and forced me to read a little slower.

I loved the beginning of the book. Most of part I was fantastic and when part II started I was seriously confused and kept going back a few pages, because I thought I'd missed something. But I didn't. I just wasn't able to read all the clues before. There were a few slower parts in the middle, but the ending was incredible. I didn't care

The storyline was quite catchy and was worth reading, but it did not engage me so much as "Pictures of Lily" or "One Perfect Summer". I wondered why and came to the conclusion, that the book lacked its usual Paige Toon like "edginess" and subtlety. I did not feel what heroines felt, I was just told about it, I could not fall for the hero(es?), I was told that the girls did. I think that there was too much wallowing, dragging in one topic and too little action in between, too few unknown people a ...more

This was a lovely story, thoroughly enjoyable. I loved reading about the triplets getting to know them and discovering their lives. The story did switch from past to present and then a year a head which was slightly confusing in places as there was no warning about the switch within the story. Despite this I would still recommend her book. :-)

I did like this book I really wanted to that's why I persisted to read it all but I didn't find it engaging. I didn't care for the characters I found Angus annoying and deceiving and I didn't like the sisters.

Paige Toon continues to be one of my very favourite authors. I love her stories.
I absolutely loved, loved, LOVED this book ! I feel in love it from the first words on the first page and my love grew as I read on ! What a beautiful take on many different types of love, loss, sisterly bonds, crossing barriers and finding happily-ever-after when you think you never be able to !

The One We Fell in Love With Review on K-Books

The One We Fell in Love With is another one of Paige Toon's books that has been sat on my shelf for so so long before I actually picked it up to read and I am now kicking myself for not reading this one sooner. The One We Fell in Love With is so different to other Paige Toon books but for all the right reasons. I have always been in love with Paige's book since her debut because of their fun, beautiful and romantic stories that are amazingly girly an

This was Book 13 of my #20booksofsummer paperback summer challenge

Was recommeded this book by a lovely friend and I can see why she pointed me in its' direction as we have very similar tastes in books! Hate to say that I've not managed to read too many of Paige Toons books but will definitely be adding her others to my TBR as this has been a fun read!

Think it's the first book I've read featuring identical Triplets as the main characters but it was a nice twist, and the fact that they all fell in

Well that was a nice wee read, very surprised I didn't cry though.
I am so annoyed that I need to wait yet another year for another one of Paige Toons adult novels, oh well, at least her next YA one is out very soon!
Also...NATHAN <3 that was the best surprise. Toby reminded me of him for some reason.

It's been a long time since I've been this blown away by a book and I think it's going to take me a few days to get my thoughts together well enough to write a full review. But for now let me just say that I can't recommend this highly enough and I suspect I've just read one of the books that will be mentioned in my end of year best books post.

I really liked this book, and I'm very happy Paige Toon seems to have gotten her groove back. Whilst predictable in some parts as all chic lit is, there's still enough going on to keep you interested

A fun, light hearted, vacation read.

I doubt I ever would have picked this up back home but I’m traveling and the hotel has a mini library and I so desperately wanted to read in my hammock... the trick was to pick something I could either finish in one day or be okay leaving behind unfinished. Thankfully I whipped through this book.

I found it surprisingly touching with even a few parts that made me cry. But overall a fun, happy book for my vacation. Basically about identical triplets who all fall

I was going to give up on this one halfway because it just wasn't good. The 3 sisters were a bit boring and 'the one they fell in love with' was just on ordinary boy, who says a lot of stupid things, and even with a lot of imagination I didn't get why they were all crazy about him. But then there was some kind of plottwist and I thought ok maybe this can go somewhere. Unfortunately the story didn't go anywhere and I was often annoyed with the characters. If this book would have had 200 pages les ...more

Paige Toon has an incredible talent of hooking in her readers with her insane moral dilemmas, and this one has been my favourite so far. When it comes to love, what are the rules and how will people behave in the strangest circumstances? I really like that the book is written from 3 different points of view, from 3 different women on very different paths. It kept the pace very well. It’s difficult to say much more without spoilers, but I very much enjoyed the ride with this one. A lot of reviewe ...more
