Hot in the Saddle
Horse wrangler and off-duty firefighter Treven Arnett is the person closest to Delta Pennington’s racecar when it bursts into flames and spins onto the infield. If you're looking for a book that is short, fast-paced, and sexy... Hot in the Saddle is the book for you. Randi Alexander weaves a story filled with action, drama, some unexpected twists, passion, hot cowboys, love, and a HEA. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I loved this sexy short story about a hot cowboy who also volunteers as a firefighter. When Treven heroically pulls Delta from her burning racecar, she is amazed and appreciative that he risked his life to save her. I liked Delta; she is a confident woman trying to make it in a man’s world as a racecar driver. Treven is a hardworking cowboy, who is sexy, confident and likes everything about Delta and there is explosive chemistry whenever these two are in the same room together. Randi Alexander writes a story that is both heartwarming and sensual with well developed characters that are easy to connect with.

'Hot in the Saddle' by Randi Alexander is a great read. I loved reading about Treven and Delta. I'd love to read more about this pair. This story is a great start to a new series. It's packed full of action, drama, passion, heat, hot cowboys, firefighters and racing. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in this series.

Hot in the Saddle is the first book in the Heroes in the Saddle series by Randi Alexander and it starts off with a bang, literally!
Treven Arnett is at the speedway, volunteering on the firefighting crew. He’s ready to head home and get some jobs done when a competitor’s car stops on the track near him and explodes into flames. Treven does the unthinkable and rescues the occupant, the lovely Delta Pennington. In the process of rescuing her he suffers burns to his hands which incapacitate him.
Delta feels guilty at being the cause of his injuries and volunteers to stay and help Treven run the ranch until he is well enough to do so. While he is recovering from his injuries, Treven and Delta get to know each other and sparks fly between them. One problem though, is that Delta has a secret, and Treven might not like it when he finds out what it is.
Added to that is the matter of the explosion and the other accidents that Delta has been in. Are these caused by bad luck, faulty equipment, or is someone out to get her, and why?
This was a short story that introduced Treven and his two friends who feature in the following books in the series. Treven and Delta had some serious chemistry and then her secret gets in the way. I loved the way that Treven apologizes to Delta at the track – that was cute and it took guts to put it out there in front of such a large audience! One little bugbear is the work that Treven and his friend Rex did a little work behind the scenes to find out who was behind the accidents that Delta was having all the time. I felt that that required a bit more explanation, instead of just a short aside – via an explanation by her uncle, considering it was what lead to Treven and Delta coming together in the first place.
Ms. Alexander writes a great all American hero who is strong, sexy, kind and coupled with kickass heroines, her stories are a great read. Hot in the Saddle is a great introduction to the world of the heroes in the saddle and I am off to read book two.

Amazing, fun read
Rand I Alexander has fast become one of my favorite authors of Cowboys, romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I have no doubts that everyone who reads it will love it too!!!!

Hot in the Saddle is a great hot read. It introduces us to hot cowboy heroes we would all love to be rescued by. And rescued indeed is what Delta is when Treven saves her from the flames in her race car. Spending time in Treven's ranch healing brings them both together and while the mystery of who caused the fire in Delta's car is being solved they get to some hot sexy times. Totally recommend reading the whole series. I'd defy anyone not to be curious to know what happens to the other cowboys introduced in this first book.

Hot in the Saddle, Heroes in the Saddle Book 1, is another truly great read by Randi Alexander. Horse wrangler and firefighter, Treven, and racecar driver, Delta, have instant chemistry and this one is as steamy as the title implies. It’s a great beginning to a new series, and like Ms. Alexander’s other books I’ve read, does not disappoint. Delta’s choice to keep her prior reason for being in the area a secret and Treven’s temper, once he discovers that secret, nearly derails their future. Action and suspense kept this reader turning pages late into the night because I couldn’t wait to see what happens next. I really enjoyed reading about these two characters and their attempts at resisting their temptation for each other.
I cannot recommend this book enough and am off to read Badge in the Saddle, book 2, Rex’s story.

I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
Randi Alexander is a new author to me I have often wondered what her books were like, and having this opportunity to review for her was great.
In this fast paced short novella we meet the ever so sexy Treven and the beautiful speed demon Delta, sit back enjoy how there story unfolds.
Treven Arnett is a horse wrangler and an off-duty firefighter, he happens to be the person that is the closest to Delta Pennington’s race car when it goes up in to a ball of flames and spins out onto the infield. Without a second thought for his own life or his own safety, Treven springs in to action Hurries over and in to rescue her, he manages to pull her to safety just in the nick of time as her stock car is engulfed by fire.
When Delta opens her eyes and looks straight up into the face of her rescuer who had risked his own life to save hers, but she notices that in his rescue of her he has been badly injured himself. So she decides she has to help him. So she stays at his home and helps working his small horse ranch until he’s recovered as well as helping him, but this hot cowboy makes it nigh on impossible for her to keep away from his hot passionate type of loving.
Now as these daydreams are coming to her of relocating to this beautiful peaceful part of Texas comes as a huge surprise to Delta especially now as they are growing ever so attached to each other.
But just as things are going great Treven learns a secret that Delta has this huge ulterior motives for her visit to his beautiful town, his anger gets to him and he explodes and kicks her out and tells her not to come back.
But someone else is even angrier with Delta and its not Treven this person is so incensed that they tampered with her race car. Does Treven really care enough for Delta to overlook her lies and step back up and into her life to help her find the very culprit that is after her?
Will they both learn from there mistakes and forgive?
Whilst I liked this book and I loved the story line and I fell for Treven I just felt it fell short of something its not because it was a short story which I learnt later on, it just felt a bit flat I needed more oomph and excitement in the middle and a bit more of lead up to the bad guy. Another thing which I found confusing was the words used for Trevens erection... a chubby I had to ask some of my American book friends if they had ever heard of it, if it wasn't used in the context it was I would have had no idea at all.
Delta she is a kick butt woman she has racing in her blood and a whole load of gumption, but as much as she loves racing I could feel the longing inside her for more. She is a great character and a lot of fun. Even though she made me want to strangle her at times but then that's what makes reading her even more fun.
Treven is a delicious cowboy as well as being a firefighter..... can I say yum he is a fantastic character and a hero I just loved him, he is hard soft yummy and everything you want in a man as well as being everything you want in a character even though he has faults and a temper.
I think Randi Alexander is a good writer and although I had a few things I didn't like about the book im sure others will love it, I think I would like to read a full length novel of hers to compare.

Treven is a fulltime Cowboy and a volunteer Firefighter. He is just getting off duty and leaving when Delta Pennington’s racecar starts on fire. Treven is the closest and he just acts to save her. He pulls her out of the burning car to safety then realizes he didn’t have any protective gear on.
After Delta is pulled out of her car she looks to the man that saved her and see is he is severely injured. When Treven is released from the Hospital Delta offers to stay and help him out on his ranch. She starts to dream about staying at the ranch and really likening Treven, maybe even falling in love with him. However, she also has another reason to be there and it will not make Treven happy.
When Treven finds out Delta’s other reason to be in his town he gets so mad he kicks her out. But he is not the maddest at her, someone wants her dead. I read this story in an analogy – “12 Alarm Cowboys” and I loved this story as well as the other authors with the same theme. Hot in the Saddle “stars” Treven Arnett who volunteered as an off-duty firefighter at a stock car race when suddenly Delta Pennington’s car burst into flames. Treven rescued her and in the process, he was badly hurt.
Delta, a famous female stock car race professional decides that she is going to stay and work his small horse ranch until he heals. As they grow closer the chemistry is off the charts and they finally give into their passion. After a misunderstanding, Treven tells her to leave. Heart broken, Delta leaves, but now she is in danger from the one that tampered with her racecar. Treven must save her no matter the cost, even if he has blown it for them to be together.
I recommend this installment and know that you too will love the HOT HOT Passion.

Delta is ready and willing to help and get to know Treven. As any good story goes, there is a misunderstanding that causes a conflict and hopefully will be resolved into a HEA for this couple. ;-)

Delta can’t believe that he would risk his life for her and decides to stay to help him on the ranch until he heals. Little does Treven know what secret she is keeping and how it will affect him in the end.

This was a very quick story with a strong romance. I was hooked from the beginning of this story. This story is this first in this series and deals with a horse wrangler and off-duty firefighter Treven Arnett, who saves Delta Pennington when her racecar bursts into flames and spins onto the infield. Treven's injuries requires help on his ranch and Delta volunteers to help him. Feelings for each other heat up real fast and then something comes up that makes Treven feel betrayed and asks her to leave. During this time someone is still out to get Delta which is why her race car crashes in the first place. I loved this story and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

This is a great book to occupy yourself for an evening, or to be the first read in your weekend book binge.
A quick read. Sexy, with a pinch of mystery. Treven and Delta have an almost immediate, intense chemistry. They had their moment of angst, and thankfully it ended as quickly as it started. If I had any complaint about This book, it would just be that I wanted it to be longer.
This was an enjoyable read, and I am happily moving on to book 2 in the series.

Treven and Delta meet when he saves her from a racecar crash fire that threatened her life. The handsome cowboy/firefighter and the racecar drive/businesswoman are a great match as she proves that she can keep his ranch running while the burns heal on his hands. I liked that she stepped up and handled everything herself instead of hiring someone to help him. Threats against her livelihood as a racecar driver are being investigated while she is at the ranch. The writer has a lyrical quality to her descriptions and especially the love scenes that keep one engrossed in the story.

From there, it's not going to be easy for them to find a happily ever after. This was a fabulous start to the Heroes in the Saddle series.

I just love cowboys.... Treven and Delta story starts when he saves her life at the speedway where he volunteers on the firefighters crew... Delta volunteers to help Treven at his ranch to pay him back for saving her life.. From the very beginning you can tell that sparks are flying between the two.. And when they are together on the ranch they fly out of control.. This story is steaming hot.....and if you love cowboys thus is the book for you....

"Hot in the Saddle" is a sexy novella that you can read in a couple of hours. After firefighter Trevon saves Delta from her burning car, Delta nurses him back to health at home and soon in his bed. They burn up the sheets and race to their HEA ending.The author packs a lot of story in a this sexy read and is recommended for those that love hot cowboys and their women. Thank you to Randi Alexander for gifting me with "Hot in the Saddle" and asking for my honest opinion. This is mine. 3.5 Stars!

My first read from this author and I have to say am pretty impressed with this book.
The setting is just perfect imagine cowboys, fire fighters and motor car racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!, what more would you want.
Captivating story line with twists and unexpected surprises that will keep you entertained. I highly recommend it.
