When rescue looks like a whole lot of trouble . . .

The road trip was definitely a bad idea. Having already flambéed her culinary career beyond recognition, Rita Clarkson is now stranded in God-Knows-Where, New Mexico, with a busted-ass car and her three temperamental siblings, who she hasn't seen in years. When rescue shows up---six-feet-plus of hot, charming sex on a mot

The last year of Rita Clarkson’s life has been a rough one. On top of her mother’s death, there was the infamous “knifing” incident brought on by a fallen soufflé and witnessed by millions via both television and YouTube. Then the fire that burned her aforementioned mother’s restaurant to the ground the same night Rita took over head chef duty. Top that with a strained to non-existent relationship with her three siblings and you have the recipe for a craptacular year.

Too Hot to Handle gave us the perfect introduction to the talented Tessa Bailey new series, Romancing the Clarksons!
With this first installment, we get a insight into the life of this problematic family, the Clarksons, and we see that they have a long road ahead of them, in order to find peace and who knows, maybe some love and passion, to spice things up.
And who better to start with than the super controlled, super strict, Rita, the oldest of the Clarkson girls?!

Any time I can snatch up a Tessa Bailey book, I am always ready to one click. I was pretty fired up at getting the start of a new series by her as she always delivers the heat. Perhaps, it was me, but I admittedly struggled a bit with this book.

This is a story of "finding one's self." It is a journey of a family of 4 siblings with the focus on Rita Clarkson. I found the Clarkson's to be quite intriguing albeit somewhat h

Tessa Bailey once again proves to her readers that she can deliver a romance that is sexy, funny, witty, and ridiculously entertaining!!! And in her newest release Too Hot to Handle, Tessa opens this book with a fiery explosion. Literally, the roof is on fire and I’m not kidding. Sparks are flying and Rita Clarkson just burned down her mother’s Michelin star restaurant and the only thing that she could do was watch it go up in smokes.

What else could she have expected after committing arson?

Being the daughter of the famous chef, Miriam Clarkson, has never been easy for Rita Clarkson. Her life has been a series of failures and triumphs, and things haven’t improved since her mother’s death a year ago. What should have been her moment to prove her worth on national TV, instead showed her as a knife-wielding psycho. And now her mother’s restaurant has just burned do

I don’t know what it is….but I know that I can’t live without her.

Her men are so classic, almost iconic, and I can’t help but love them. Her brain is classically dirty. She is able to capture these moments and write them so well that I feel like I’m right there.

Too Hot to Handle is the first book in Tessa Bailey's new Romancing the Clarksons' series following four siblings on their journey to reconnect as a family and (MAYBE) find their HEA's along the way.

Unlike many readers of Tessa Bailey, I haven’t really enjoyed the books I have read from her. I like Tessa Bailey's contemporary romance novels a lot. They feature that rare successful balance of humor and angst, providing fun escapism that still tugs at your heartstrings. There is a realism, too, with flawed but ultimately likable characters. And I must mention the deliciously dirty sex. Since I often end up skimming sex scenes, I only call out those that really make an impression.

All this is to say that while I generally enjoy Bailey's books, Too Hot to Handle didn't fully engage me. T

About three chapters in of Too Hot to Handle and I was worried there was going to be too much angst in this book for me to enjoy it, but I was so wrong. Without a doubt this is a love story between two people, but it is also a love story of four siblings trying to move past their awkward relationships with each other with a little help from their deceased mother, it is the story of a man trying to make the grandparents who raised him

As of lately I haven’t had the best of luck with it comes to Tessa Bailey books but I know so much people who love them and I wanted to see if this new series would be something I’d like. This series is all about the Clarksons, a family that is both charming and just plain weird. Typically I love series that revolve around a single family and the premise of this series is quite unique too. Tessa Bailey can always be counted on for a hot read, usually with a hero who takes dirty talk to the next level. Jasper does not disappoint...the readers or Rita. This book is hot, fun, and full of "sit in front of a fan" moments that keep you reading and enjoying the story, the characters and well, the hot sex.

But, what Bailey is also able to do is to tell a good story.

Rita isn't happy in her life, although she has started to make small steps to fix this. She is estranged from her brothers an

I thought this story started well and it was rather entertaining. However, somewhere along the line I started having a complete disconnect from the characters. Rita's POV was good but I didn't really get into Jasper's at all. I normally don't mind insta-love but their chemistry wasn't clicking for me. I felt it was starting to get drawn out and I just wasn't interested anymore. I tried to get into it but this one just wasn't for me. I stopped at 60%.

This book was really charming and HOT. Tessa Bailey definitely knows how to talk dirty and to write very steamy love scenes. The mouth on Jasper has him a spot on my book boyfriends list. I really loved this story a lot and I'm eager to continue the stories on all the Clarkson siblings.

Tessa Bailey might be one of the very few authors who writes in the third person POV that I really enjoy. The introduction to the Clarkson siblings left me hooked and intrigued. That wired and unhinged chemistry between Rita, Belmont, Peggy and Aaron will have you dying of what each of their individual stories are. You'll go out of your mind trying to figure out how these siblings ended up with a very broken relationship with one another. I also loved where the author

Rita has to choose between her head and her heart in this funny, heart-warming tale of finding true love and happiness.

This series has a great premise, and once I read the description, I just knew I had to read this book.

The Clarksons are a mad, eclectic mix of personalities, and I can't wait to read more of this series to find out what's in store for the rest of Rita's siblings. All of them were unique in their own way, and it was refreshing to read about such different characters. Characteriz

Tessa Bailey is one of my favorite contemporary romance writers so I know that pretty much anything she writes, I am going to love. No one writes a steamy sex scene quite like Ms. Bailey. So I loved what she did with the story of Rita Clarkson, who has just accidentally burned down her mother's award-winning restaurant. On top of that, it was her mother's dying wish that Rita and her siblings - who aren't exactly close - travel to the East Coast to swim in the ocean on New Year's Day.

This was probably 2.5 stars for me, but because I normally love Tessa Bailey’s writing I’m rounding up.

This one just did not work for me… and let me be clear… there was so much potential here, but the main reason this didn’t hit any high notes was because the sexy stuff was just so stinking unsexy for me. The dirty talking was awkward and had me cringing more than fanning myself. Like to the point that I found myself reading passages to Erin while she drove us back from Chicago this past weeken

Rita Clarkson is at a something of an impasse. She’s recently had a bit of a crisis in her career and now, as a last dying wish from her mother’s journal, Rita has embarked upon a cross country trip with her three siblings. Three siblings she’s barely seen or spoken to in the past couple of years. Three siblings who have little to nothing in common.
