If gossip is the lifeblood of a small town, then Lizzy Logan has been its beating heart. After being dumped by her fiancé for another woman, she could have decided to crawl under a rock. But no, she'd rather really set tongues wagging by "moving on" with one of the hottest cowboys in Texas, who happens to live next door at the Lu

Back in December when I got Wild Cowboy Ways the 1st book in this series, I really enjoyed it. I got to know Toby and Lizzy in book 1 and I really loved Lizzy's character. She intrigued me, so when Hot Cowboy Nights showed up in Netgalley I was so excited to get to see Lizzy's story play out. I loved this book!

Oh, man, I just loved this story! I wanted to lock myself away and just read! As it was, I started and finished Hot Cowboy Nights in one day.

Lizzy Logan and Toby Dawson shared three weeks of lusty hot nights, sex only, and very much on the-down-low. It started out as a rebound fling, and with a player like Toby, Lizzy knows it won’t amount to anything. Lizzy knows she wants more than a booty call, she wants marriage and kids, and she doesn’t want to waste time with someone who won’t settle down

There is a charm to the idea of small towns... places free from big city stress... A place where everyone's supportive and there if you are in need...and ready to lend a hand during the good times and bad...Pretty appealing, huh...

Well, that may not always be the case in a small town in Texas which is having trouble keeping businesses and population. It is not having growing pains... more like shrinking ones...
And the long lineage of some of the families ar

Fun book. Toby is the second partner in the Lucky Penny Ranch. He is determined to help his brother and cousin turn it into a successful cattle ranch. He met Lizzy when his brother Blake married her sister Allie (Wild Cowboy Ways). Lizzy had recently been dumped by her wannabe preacher fiancé and is still feeling the effects of the gossip surrounding it. There is an immediate spark between the two of them, and they begin a secret fling. For three weeks they get together whenever they can. But af ...more

♥Rachel♥ from Waves of Fiction and The Reader's Den is the heart of my heart when it comes to book reviews so when I saw her reviewing several books from this author in the sub-genre of "cowboy romance," I knew I had to try one! And this one didn't disappoint! I am calling these mini reviews the battle of the romance tropes -- this one involves the fake boyfriend trope and it was pulled off to perfection here! First, Lizzy was awesome

Lizzy isn't like those sissy women who pick at their food or only order salads, girl appreciates her food, “no, looks like they’ve got a special on tacos. Now I don’t know what I want. I’ve been craving a big juicy bacon cheeseburger, but those tacos sure smell good,” she said." Toby is a good man, unconventional when it comes to cheering up his woman, “after that kiss,” he said when he drew back, “this is about as unromantic as anything can be. But would you like to go with me to do chores and

Love in a small town…

Cowboys, gossip and family. Just a few things that make and break small towns, and Dry Creek is no exception. If you’ve read Allie and Blake’s story then the Lucky Penny ranch, with its share of good and bad luck, will have you eager to dive into Toby Dawson and Lizzy Logan’s story. I wondered what a womanizing man and a buttoned-up woman could have in common… I was about to find out!

She was dumped practically at the altar and now the low life slime who did it is returning to parade his new wife around. So what's a sassy rancher gal to do? She makes everyone believe the hottest cowboy in the county has a thing for her and he has his own reasons for playing along with the ruse.

This is the second installment in the Lucky Penny Ranch series. It follows the events of the first book and shifts the attention from one Dawson brother and one Logan sister to another pair. Will lightn

This is book two of the Lucky Penny Ranch series. I have read one other Carolyn Brown book and it was freakin' adorable. Unfortunately it wasn't the first book of this series and I kinda wish I had. Toby's reputation as a man whore is all in the first book, it is talked about, mentioned, and rubbed in his face in this book but I didn't read about it first hand so in this book I just see a very sweet, romantic, but commitment-phobic cowboy. Also I don't see Lizzy as anything but wild c

I love small town romance stories while everyone is close and neighbors help neighbors there are still many people who gossip too much and the stress that there town won't survive. This is the first book I have read from Brown in this new series and from the very beginning I was hooked!

In this story we meet Lizzy and Toby who are the complete opposite of what each other goes for but this couple ended up working really well together.

Lizzy was recently dumped by her preacher on her sisters weddin

Brown's books are so sweet! And that is why I adore them. The heroines are so sassy, and the heroes are so rrrrrr!

Lizzy has been doing the nasty with her neighbor Toby, but hey they can't be doing it forever. It was fun while it lasted.

Like it ever is that easy. See she needs a fake bf to show peeps she is moving on. Oh girl, that is more trouble than solution! In comes Toby.

But dang! Oh this town, it had me so mad. Like a raccoon caught with it's tail in cactus (I always try this, but I never g

Nope. DNR 20%. I remember why I didn't like the first one... I find these character super annoying, unlikable, whiny, self-righteous, etc....

"There weren't many redeeming qualities about this town or the people living in it. Everyone seems to be unhappy in their lives and are determined to make everyone else miserable with them. Everyone cheats on their significant other then turn around and judge everyone else for doing the same thing. This town just needs to get out of this high school behavio

This was a goodreads win. I get why everybody loves Carolyn Brown’s cowboys stories. I enjoyed Wild Cowboy ways but i felt like Hot Cowboy Nights resemble a little too much to the first one. I like how the author refers to songs in the book. We can imagine in what kind of state of mind the characters are in. Also, i really like Deke’s character, but we didn’t get to see him as much in Hot Cowboy Nights. I was hoping to continue the series, but i think i’m going to stop here for now.

Eh, I just didn't feel spark with the characters because I found them supercilious, annoying, unlikable and whiny. Its also big turnoff for me when the heroine drinks and has hangovers. Its just not cute nor likeable action on anyone. I also didn't believe that after the way Toby was portrayed as big womanizer he suddenly gets hooked on Lizzy and wanting HEA with her. Their relationship seemed to depend more on lust than love. and this kind of relationship usually don't

I really don't know how Carolyn Brown does it! I love this woman, her characters, her writing, the situations that these amazing characters find themselves in, the humor, the laughter, the family feeling and the down home goodness that makes you want to pack your bags and move right in. I have never been disappointed in any of the amazing books that I have read, she is one of my go to authors when I need a pick me up. A sweet and hot cowboy romance set in small-town Dry Creek, Texas!

Dating and getting to really know a woman is a different game. Kind of like the difference in Monopoly and Texas Hold 'Em."

Lizzy, who was slated to become a preacher's wife in most of WILD COWBOY WAYS, the first book in this series, returns with a new lease on life in HOT COWBOY NIGHTS by Carolyn Brown. Even though this is the second book in the author's Lucky Penny Ranch series, this tale can easily be enjoyed as a standalone if

I loved it! The way the story comes across so real just makes me smile. I had a very hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what was next.

The small town of Dry Creek Texas in is just like all small towns, it lives for gossip. Lizzy Logan is the town’s most recent topic. Her fiancé leaves her on Valentine’s day over the phone for another woman. Now she is trying to move on and out of the town talk. The town women

Toby and Lizzy's story is the second book in the Lucky Penny Ranch series. Following the first book in the series, Hot Cowboy Ways, this enjoyable story captures you from the first paragraph and takes you for a crazy ride through Lizzy's way of regaining her true self after being "dumped" by her former fiancé, Mitch. Toby comes along at a time when Lizzy really needed to become herself again, and not what another man, Mitch, thought she should be.

Ms Brown does a wonderful job of capturing Lizzy

Some authors all you have to do is read one of their books and you know you will like them all. This is the second book I have read by this author and I have to say I'm a fan. I really like the writing style and although like most romance novels you can predict the ending it was perfect. I like the fact the story is bigger than just the two main characters. This book is part of a series although it can be read as a standalone (because of the small town and background to the characters family I w ...more

Hot Cowboy Nights was a fun, entertaining romance. Lizzy Logan and Toby Dawson had amazing chemistry. What started out as a friends with benefits situation quickly turned into something much deeper even though they both tried to convince themselves otherwise.

Even though I loved the steamy scenes between Lizzy and Toby, what really made the book for me was how strong the Logan women were in dealing with the townspeople. I loved the way they stood up to the not-so-Christian church ladies and Trum

I received this book as an ARC and the actual release date is forthcoming on May 31, 2016. There's not a single Carolyn Brown book I've read that I've not thoroughly enjoyed and even loved. Loved book 1 of the Lucky Penny Ranch series and this one did not disappoint! The chemistry between Toby and Lizzy was off the charts. I could feel the zaps and tingles as I read of their attraction. Stories set in small towns are the best kind. There is a feeling of welcome that comes over me whenever I come across a story like Hot Cowboy Nights. The family atmosphere calls to me. The slow pace delivers a sense of security not found in larger areas. What I enjoy most is the mischief and gossip that goes on. Carolyn Brown brought every element to life in her latest novel. I received an ARC of Hot Cowboy Nights in exchange for an honest review. Lizzy and Toby set tongues wagging with the char ...more

Take one of the most romantic cowboy ever, a one night stand turned into a game of pretending to be in a relashionship who then turned into the real deal, throw in a tornado, a car wreck, a picnic, a mamma cat with her four kittens, a dog , a skunk, two donkeys and a lot of bawling cows, mix it with some Blake Shelton's, Luke Bryan's and Conway Twitty's songs, add some pesky church ladies and a ornery old man and then voilà ! You have hot cowboy nights!

This book was so-so for me. The title implied more than it delivered, unfortunately. There were very few nights, and the "hot" was rather cool. The characters were intriging, but some of the dialog was a bit stilted and formal compared to some of the other dialog.

It's not a bad book, a nice sweet little romance. A good way to kill time.
