This series has over 650 reviews and an average 4.8 Amazon stars!HIGHLAND WOLF PACT Sibyl Blackthorne isn’t afraid of anything—except maybe being sold into marriage to a man she doesn’t love. A man she’s never even met. A man who, by reputation, is one of Scotland’s cruelest lairds in over a century. But what choice does she have, with her father dead and her uncle now married to his brother’s widow, putting him in charge of not only the Blackthorne fortune, but Sibyl’s future as well? Then her betrothed turns out to actually be far worse than his reputation, so headstrong Sibyl decides life as a peasant, or even death, would be preferable to a future with such a despicable man, and makes plans to run away. On an organized hunt for wolves—or, as the Scots call them, wulvers—Sibyl escapes her fiancé’s clutches, only to find she’s run into something far more untamed and dangerous in the middle of the woods. When a big, brawny, long-haired man, who only speaks to her in Gaelic and calls himself Raife, simply picks her up and carries her off with him into the Scottish wild, Sibyl knows she’s in trouble. COMPROMISING POSITIONS Kirstin has never been out of her den before, but now one of her pack is seriously injured—he may even be dying. Desperate to help, she races straight to Middle March, the borderland between Scotland and England, and falls right into a dangerous trap. As the new laird of his clan, Donal MacFalon has made it clear that he, unlike his brother before him, will honor the wolf pact, an agreement their father made with England’s King Henry VII to protect Scotland’s wolf shifters, the wulvers, who most believe to be only the stuff of legend. Wulvers, though, are very real. Kirstin knows. She’s one of them. When Donal MacFalon turns those steel blue-grey eyes her way, she realizes she’s facing something far more dangerous in this man than any trap. This man, already promised to another, has a power over her no man or wulver has ever had before. When he opens his castle and his heart to her, she finds herself willing to risk not only her own heart, but everything she’s ever known, just to be with him. BLOOD REIGN Bridget was an orphan raised by wulvers in a secluded wilderness temple to be its priestess and guardian, but now the outside world has found her and her world will be changed forever. Being suddenly swept up in ancient prophecies and ancestral blood feuds is bad enough, but fighting off the desire ignited in her heart by the proud and arrogant wulver warrior, Griffith, the only man who has ever defeated her in battle, may prove to be her greatest battle yet… When you’re the son of the wulver pack leader, and your father isn’t about to roll over and show you his belly, life is tough enough.
Selena Kitt is a NEW YORK TIMES bestselling and award-winning author of erotic and romance fiction. She is one of the highest selling erotic writers in the business with over two million books sold!
Her writing embodies everything from the spicy to the scandalous, but watch out-this kitty also has sharp claws and her stories often include intriguing edges and twists that take readers to new, thought-provoking depths.
Her books EcoErotica (2009), The Real Mother Goose (2010) and Heidi and the Kaiser (2011) were all Epic Award Finalists. Her only gay male romance, Second Chance, won the Epic Award in Erotica in 2011. Her story, Connections, was one of the runners-up for the 2006 Rauxa Prize, given annually to an erotic short story of “exceptional literary quality.”
The 1st story started very interesting: Sybil our heroine is "sold" is marriage to seal a pact - to achieve peace between clan MacFallon and King Henry VII.
Alistair is a "horrible and lecherous" Highlander, Sybil has no intention of marry, despite being promise to him. Alistair captures "Wulvers"Highlanders to viciously kill them - in spite of the pact between wulvers and humans. Now he has a pregnant Wulver is his monstrous jail in the middle of the forest. Sybil has been taught by her late father all arts of hunting, herbs, etc... and is a fearful lass. She is enraged with what Alistair is doing. She opens the cage and before the wulver can escape, Alistair wounds it/her badly. So, Sybil shots him with an arrow. In the arm... Why not in the heart. She is an expert with the arrow. Okay, so for the sake of the story, she shots him in the arm. Raife is the Wulver pack master - and no sexy or hot at all imho - when he goes looking for the the pregnant wulver he finds Sybil and carries her along - he is almost as big as a horse when in wulver form (and a tall man) I couldn't imagine him but in wulver form. Too amorphous, sissy and selfish as a man.
The strangest - and not sexy at all - is when wulvers are in warrior forms they are half-wolf, half-man, meaning: their upper body part is the wolf, their lower body part is human. How sexy is this?
So it goes on... and goes on... and goes on: Raife doesn't want to bed Sybil, but is jealous even of his own married brother, who dislikes Sybil, even after has Sybil saved his wife's life and, in her kindness, is looking for a special herb who would cure the curse the female Wulvers carry: changing every at every menses (Lilith's curse).
To end this: Sybil is okay, I didn't dislike her, but I didn't love her either. Perhaps this is because the men, Alistair - as the bad guy - or Raife - as the hot guy - didn't pair well with her, leading to no interaction as all. She spends more time with Darrow, Raife's brother - or with the women in the clan. Raife is too bland, not manly or hot, especially in comparison to Alistair (who is not hot either, because he smells bad). I would choose Donal - Alistair's brother - who appears in the beginning of Sybil's story, but I knew he was the leading character to the next story in this boxed set.
Oh, well...At 19%, I was probably at the end of the 1st story, but by the time Raife and Sybil made love, I was "really?" Is this the best Ms. Kitt can do? Where is the promised "spicy to the scandalous? (...) Or intriguing edges and twists that take readers to new, thought-provoking depths"?
No, thank you very much, it didn't hold my interest at all.
This box set books 1 2 and 3 I was looking for 4th book but sadly to say I think this includes all that there is... I'm the type of reader that falls in love with her books, with the characters, but their lives and wants to find out what happens next that I live for it... Warning if you're that type of reader this is a book for you.. I couldn't put it down book 1 and 2 set a great stage for book 3... And book 3 was a great ending to the series... I just hated to set end.
Highland Wolf Pact #1 -SEE FULL REVIEW HERE I think what I loved most about it, is that Kitt stayed true to the time and puts some of the ugly facts about that time period in her story... and it was a fantastic story! The character and world building are stellar and I never once got confused as to what or who I was reading about. Sibyl and Raife are magical together. Their love and romance was a steady and slow build and when they finally sealed the deal, they didn't come up for air for 3 days. Raife is very protective of Sibyl but she is the kind of girl who can take care of herself. Of course every girl needs a hottie alpha wolf keeping an eye on things.
Compromising Positions #2 -SEE FULL REVIEW HERE This was an amazing story. Donal and Kirstin are solid and well developed characters, the writing is superb, the storyline is flawless and the sex is filthy and scorching. My only complaint is that it was difficult for me to get into it at the beginning. But the rest of it was glorious and I loved it.
Blood Reign #3 -SEE FULL REVIEW HERE Loved this story and I'm not sure how to review near perfection. I've not met a Selena Kitt book I didn't like/love. She is a great author who is extremely talented at telling amazing stories.
In Blood Reign, we get to see glimpses of what the rest of the pack is doing and meet their kids. The only thing that was hard to follow for me was the magic at the end. It did feel rushed to me. I still enjoyed this story immensely and I truly felt the love between Griff and Bridget. They made my heart flutter at times.
Overall, the story is fantastic, filled with lots of twists and turns and really kept my interest throughout the entire book. It was the perfect amount of suspense, story and sex and a wonderful ending to a great series.
ABSOLUTELY CAPTIVATING!!! YE KEN? Title: Highland Wolf Pact Box Set Author: Selena Kitt Designation: Compilation of Books One thru Three, Standalone, NO Cliffhanger My Rating: FIVE MAGNIFICENT STARS ***** WOW! I love it! This is the compilation of riveting paranormal/historical Highland Wolf Pact Series by Selena Kitt and consists of Books One thru Three. I was completely captivated from beginning to end! I fell head over heels in love with this remarkable saga in Book One and have been held completely and totally under its spell. I read and reviewed each book as it was originally released and loved them so much that I wanted to share my reviews for each. Selena Kitt is a master of her trade and skillfully weaves a charmingly imaginative web enveloping us with the magic and fantasy of the story, its history and its characters. I have always loved both paranormal and historical romance but when you combine the two and factor in that it's written by Selena Kitt, well, you have utter perfection. I now have this overwhelming desire to travel to Scotland so that I, myself, may experience the rich history, majestic beauty, powerful magic and fantastical wonderment so naturally inherit of this mystically reverent land. Sigh..... So dreamy..... The story is riveting, enchanting, imaginative, well crafted, heartbreaking, heartwarming, sweet, romantic, sensual and arousing. And did I say hot and dreamy? Oh yes! Very hot and very dreamy! Sigh.... These are only a few of the words that come to mind after reading this story. The dialogue is smart, authentic, exceptionally well executed and flows effortlessly, so much so, it's almost lyrical. I was totally mesmerized. And the characters, well, let's just say they are the heart and the soul of the story. They are fascinating, engaging, endearing, well developed and sexy as sin! Oh my! They grab your attention, capture your heart and hold you prisoner from beginning to end. Kitt skillfully combines these elements into a delightfully entertaining paranormal/historical romance filled to the brim with danger, drama, action, adventure, suspense, magic, destiny, passion and sweet romance. If you love reading sexy paranormal romance and enchanting historical love stories, then this is definitely the book for you. Book One: Highland Wolf Pact Beautiful Englishwoman Lady Sibyl Blackthorne was taught by her dear sweet father, Robert Blackthorne to fear nothing and no one but her latest predicament in life seems to be a wee bit more than even she can handle. After her father's death, her mother remarried her uncle, Godfrey Blackthorne who has literally sold her in marriage to a man she doesn't know and never met. No matter how well she rides, tracks and hunts, which is very well indeed, her uncle feels she's good for little else other than marriage. Oh no! Oh yes! She has most definitely been promised in marriage to none other than Alistair MacFalon, laird of clan MacFalon and warden of the Middle March in Scotland and little does Sibyl know that she was destined to become a MacFalon bride long before she was even born. Huh? Oh yes, King Henry and Alistair's father, Lachlan MacFalon, made an agreement many years ago. If the MacFalons helped him win his war, he promised them a fine English bride of noble blood and there were finer or more noble than a Blackthorne. Originally, the MacFalons were promised her uncle's daughter but unfortunately she died, so that only leaves Sibyl and now it's left to her to fulfill her family's obligation. There's only one little problem - she has no intention of marrying the sinister and cruel Alistair MacFalon. What? Oh no! She's planning her escape but runs into quite a large snag while out on the hunt with Alistair and his men. They've captured a pregnant white wolf and intend to viciously slaughter the animal and Sibyl has no intention of letting that happen. She releases the wolf from its cage, shoots Alistair in the hand pinning him to a tree and tries to make her escape but runs into quite a wall while trying to make her escape, albeit a quite handsome Scottish wall named Raife. And he wants Lady Sibyl for his own! Huh? Oh yes! But there's another little problem - the white wolf isn't really a wolf and Raife isn't really a man! Huh? Will Lady Sibyl escape or will she be captured and forced into a disastrous prearranged marriage with the sinister MacFalon? Or will her heart be captured and her spirit tamed by a Wulver? And will there be an all out war as a result? Oh my goodness! Absolutely Magnificent! Book Two: Compromising Positions I don't want to reveal any spoilers but I will say this.....Handsome, loyal, true-hearted Scottish Laird, Donal MacFalon of the MacFalon clan who has replaced his brother and now must take an English bride in order to prevent war, protect his clan, retain his land and remain the Warden of Middle March -check! That and a whole lot more! I laughed! I cried! I couldn't get enough! I loved it! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Seriously Sexy, Completely Compelling and Definitely Entertaining! Book Three: Blood Reign Being the son of the wulver pack leader has never been easy for Griffith especially now that he has become a wulver warrior himself. The prophecy accompanying his birth, foretelling him to be the Red Wulver and claiming him to become the savior of his race, the bringer of peace between the wulvers and the humans has completely overshadowed his life and has now become his burden. He is the half wolf, half man with red fur and flashing red eyes who will discover and unite the lost packs and become their king, The Dragon King of the Blood Reign. The expectations have become too great so Griff sets out on the journey of a lifetime in search of a lost pack and hopefully a pack of his own. Griff doesn't believe in magic or destiny; he only believes in himself and his skill as a warrior - until now. After meeting the beautiful warrior and priestess in training, Bridget, at the Temple of Asher and Ardis on the island of Shara Brae, Griff soon discovers that no matter how much he disbelieves and denies his fate, magic and destiny do exist as well as his one true mate along with a heinous enemy determined to steal not only Griff's birthright but the throne of England as well. Oh my! No spoilers from me but I will say this.....Handsome, headstrong wulver warrior who is destined to become the King of the Wulvers-check! Beautiful, courageous, curvaceous human trained as a warrior and a priestess who is destined to become a wulver queen-check! Wonderful cast of dynamic characters-check! Deliciously sexy, completely captivating and delightfully entertaining!
I never give 5 stars but "The Highland Wolf Pact" boxed set deserves it!!
First I was taken in because this series includes many topics/themes I enjoy reading stories about- good stories. Including magic, shifters (although a new fresh take on were's), witches, prophesies, relationships between characters (both sexy and complicated), and I especially love books set in the Highlands (love that Scottish brogue). The author does a wonderful job in telling and developing her story, describing the world the characters are in so well the reader is there with them, and developing the characters themselves. Its a series that at the end I was sad- I wanted more though the author does not end the series leaving the reader unfulfilled I just could have enjoyed several more books between and after. Definitely worth a read!!! Enjoy BTW - I have not read the bonus book(S) included in this set yet which is a free bonus from the author. This review is only a review of the "Highland Wolf Pact" series
Narrator, David Gillies, is overly dramatic through everything! There's no drama attached to certain thoughts or scenes, because every word is long, slow, and dramatized. It's exhausting. I'll avoid him in the future.
The story was meh. The first story was ok, I enjoyed it but it wasn't something to write home about, 2nd story was about the same. 3rd was a total waste of my time and unbelievable when you recall that the hero is supposed to be only 20 yrs old. And the sex scenes? Lots of eyerolling. I kept fast forwarding because it would go on and on with all the drama (narrators voice). His female voices didn't bother me, it was all the drama and unnecessary fanfare with every thought and word uttered. It exhausted me and gave me a headache. Which is why it took me 2 weeks to get through this when it should have only taken me a couple days (I listen while I work).
I absolutely Love,Love 💘💘 this series of books. I don't want this to be the end. I fell in love with all of the characters and their lives. I Loved the time period of the series and the region that it is set in. This series has everything that I want in my favorite books. I am crazy about shape shifting romances but they have to be wolves. I've tried to read bear shifting books but they just don't do anything for me. Dragons are okay but there's just something about wolf shifters that work. I'm not really sure about modern day books, My dream would be to be able to travel back in time to Scottland in the Henry V11 days. This series is set in that time period, It is perfect for shifter loving readers like me.
I gave it 4 stars. It was a good book I enjoyed the sex scenes and the characters but I just felt the endings were too short and could have been given more depth. But overall it as a good read. I like that the stories were looped together.
A great set of stories that gives a different slant on shifters. I had read and reviewed these books previously but reviews are missing once again. Thoroughly enjoyable but emotional in places, it does have a few sad parts but also some highs.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading all the stories of the couples in this boxset. I love reading happy ever after stories they make my day. Thank you for writing these stories.
Loved the characters and their life situations. Especially Griff with his ruffness, narrow-mindness and assumptions! He is perfectly balanced against his wife's soft demeanor.
I thought the book was great, not a dull moment and it kept me interested all through the book. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves were wolf stories.
Got this as a bit of a no brainer fun when sleep evades me BUT I was surprised I loved the story lines, strong female characters and plots I did not expect Well done.
This was a well written interest book the storyline was novel, and that made the read fun. Most of the characters were likeable with their own charisma.
Highland Wolf Pact (Highland Wolf Pact #1)- Author Selena Kitt's description of the wolvurs gives you a perfect picture in your mind. The historical part of this book is really interesting. I feel for Sybil and Laina as women. Sybil wanting so desperately to follow her heart for the love she has for Raife but not wanting to put him and his pack in jeopardy, she is very headstrong and brave. Laina wanting to find an end to what she feels as a curse for the women of her pack, risking so much to find it, she is also quite headstrong and brave. Raife is only trying to keep the peace between his pack and those that seek to destroy him. He is also wanting to follow his heart needing his mate. The leader of the McFalon clan is not one of my favorite people, he is arrogant, pigheaded, and anything else you want to call him. He treats Laina as property or a prize won. He has no passion for anyone except himself. Now, his brother Donal is the total opposite, kind, loving, passionate, and only wants peace as their father did. I was very impressed with this story. This put a different twist on the Paranormal genre. The author did a wonderful job with the characters and descriptions of them and the surroundings.
Compromising Positions (Highland Wolf Pact #2) - After reading the first book in this series, I knew I was hooked. Donal is so loveable and honorable to everyone he meets. Kirsten is not sure what she wants other than to make sure her pack is healthy and safe. When Donal and Kirsten meet things start to get heated between them, even while things are going not so right around them. They know what their hearts want, but Kirsten isn't so sure what she should do. Selena Kitt is a kick ass writer and she didn't disappoint with this second book in the series. I can't wait to get more of what's to come in the next book.
Blood Reign (Highland Wolf Pact #3) - This series keeps getting better with every book. One man, a prophecy, and a woman that brings it all together. Griffith is very cocky but knows what he wants but tends to leap before he knows what's going on. When he sets off on an adventure what he finds is not what he was expecting. Bridget is headstrong, loving, and just wants happiness for those she cares about. She has only known one way to be and when Griffith shows up in her life everything changes. Griff and Bridget make an amazing couple and team when they aren't bickering at each other. This story has some unexpected twists and turns, love, and heartache. Selena Kitt does an amazing job sucking me into her world and leaving me wanting more.
Highland Wolf Pact: Sibyl is being forced to marry a Scottish Lord for England but this isn't the destiny she dreamed for herself. She gets an opportunity to escape and is thrust into the arms of Raife who is not just a man, but also a wolf, known as a wulver. Can Sibyl accept what she has seen? Can she deny her feelings for Raife? This is a very different story for Selena Kitt to write but she grabbed from the first page and kept me wondering how the legend of the wulver would intersect with Sibyl's life. The connection between Sibyl and Raife builds slowly as they both fight their attraction because of duty and responsibilities but when they finally give in, you get a fabulous romance that makes you want to find your own wulver.
Compromising Positions: Selena Kitt keeps us entranced as we continue to explore the world of the wulvers and how they co-exist with the Scottish. Kirstin is the healer in the group so she sets out for the MacFalons castle to tend to the wounded but along the way she crosses paths with Donal, the new leader of Clan MacFalon. What Kirstin doesn't expect is to be drawn to Donal as her one true mate. Donal is similarly shocked by his connection to Kirstin. Will they give in to what they truly desire? Will forces around them keep them apart? There are several great twists and turns while we enjoy Kirstin and Donal's journey. I love the mix of romance with the legend of the wulvers tied into the British/Scottish history that adds a level of suspense to the story.
Blood Reign: Love the Highland Wolf Pact series. Selena Kitt takes us away again to a different time and place, crafting a wonderfully sexy romance that keeps you guessing. This is Griff's story, he is the sone of Raife and Sibyl, he's struggling with his strength and power, knowing that one day he will rule the clan following in his father's footsteps but he's feeling that pull now. He is also the red wulver which launches him on a quest to find out if a prophecy about him is true. Bridget has been training her whole life to be guardian and priestess, a job routed in tradition and full of tradition and honor. When she must confront Griff as he wishes to enter the sacred chambers, she never dreams that she has found her soulmate. As the two work to unravel the mystery of the red wulver, a nemesis of Griff's families past returns. Is anyone safe? Who is the true red wulver? So many great twists and turns that kept me guessing and wanting to know more.
Sibyl a English woman sold to Allaistar who only wants her as a possession and not truly a wife and to me he is not a true and just type of man later Sybil meets Raife a man or is he something that just draws her in and wants to be near and know him more and plus his family welcomes her but his brother Darrow his wife Laina who is now a new mother but gets help from Sybil due to reasons you will need to find out by preodering the book on amazon whether it be on kindle or paperback this is definately a love story and a fight for freedom on so many levels in some ways as a woman and things that can hinder us but to find out well you must buy the book and read it then if you loved this book as much as i did then please leave a review for Selena Kitt

Fantastic! Sibyl is forced to Scotland by her uncle to marry a man she has never met and soon plans her escape. She saves the life of a wulver and meets Raife. I won't give to much away but will say that falling in love and living happily ever after will not be easy for them, you must read this book to find out what the couple will endure to be together.
Book 2
Donal is now Laird MacFalon, Kirstin is a wulver and healer and he protects her from poachers when she is caught in a trap. Kirstin knows from the oment she meets him that Donal is her true mate. The king's huntsman has arrived at the castle to confirm that the king will uphold the pact he has had with the wulvers for many years. However, not all is as it seems and betrayals are coming from more than one source. Fantastic, exciting series and I look forward to reading the next book.
Book 3
Griff is determined to find the lost packs that are written about in the prophecy, and prove to his father that he is ready to lead the pack. He sneaks away and travels to Skae Brae and the temple of Asher and Ardis, where he hopes to find out more about the prophecy and the missing wulvers. He is challenged by the temple guardian and must best the guardian before he is allowed to enter the temple. After he succeeds in the match and is allowed to enter the temple, he is shocked to learn that the guardian is a human woman. Bridget was left at the entrance of the temple when she was a baby and was raised by the temple's priestess and guardian. Griff will have to overcome an evil from the past to save Bridget and all the wulvers. An exciting book with adventure and magic, I loved it!
I received these books free from the author in exchange for honest reviews.
Okay, I'm not an expert critic. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoyed it overall. I admit, I do enjoy more sci-fi and lots of action. The fantasy aspect of the prophecy, the temples, the characters, the NARRATOR... The fact that I checked the out the single stories to see if it's revised or extended.. I couldn't stop listening. It was hard because of work. As for me, I could revisit this world many times again and again. Couldn't give it less than 5 stars. 🐺✨
I am giving an honest review of this box set for author Selena Kitt. This is all 3 books in 1 set of the Highland Wolf Pact series by the author.
Book 1 Sibyl Blackthorne has been sold into a marriage by her uncle and approved by King HenryVII. She does not know what kind of man she is to marry until he shows his true colors to her and she revolts against him. When a white wulvers is captured her fiance plans to kill it in a cage but things go astray when a handsome man helps Sibyl to escape.
Book 2 Kirstin is a healer for the Wulvers and gets caught in a trap but is saved by the new Laird of the MacFalon clan,Donal MacFalon. Things heat up between the 2 until Kirstin leaves and overhears a plot to kill all of her pack. Donal MacFalon is the new laird and will support the pact between the Wulvers and the MacFalon. When he sees Kirstin for the first time he falls for her as a wolf and as a woman, but when he is ordered to marry another things go bad and get complicated and dangerous with the threat to the clan and the pack from a witch and those who betrayed them.
Book 3 Griffith is the alphas son and now matter what he does he always seems to come up short where his father is concerned. The old ways and blood feuds and ancient ways seem to almost get in the way of the heart. Bridget is in a secluded area to learn the ways of a priestess but can it sooth the fiery passion she has for Griffith and what about the future.
Great characters and story lines in each book. This is for any paranormal romance book lover.
Enjoyed all three books ,loved the story line and the characters. This is a box set of paranormal wolves in Scotland called "wulvers." The first story is about an English brides runs away to live among the silvers and falls in love with the leader . The second story is about a healer silver falls in loved with the chieftain. Together they managed to save the Christian's people and the silvers thereby keeping the Wolf pact. The third story is about the red solver trying to find the lost silvers pact and finds his true love. In all the stories the males are resistant to finding their true love while solving problems and avoiding war. Somehow they can't keep their hands off their sexy ladies. Very intriguing and terrific series.
I thought this was a great collection. I got it on kindle unlimited so in a way it was free but I paid for the subscription so really it wasn't. This contains a trilogy of stories involving Wulvers (most people consider them as wolf shifters) and a delightful mix of Scottish highlander hunky guys and beautiful women. After that is a bonus story about fairies and a bonus excerpt from yet another story. I think "Bonus" is a good way to describe this set of stories. Enjoy!
This is a box set of one of my favorite series by this author! I loved all three books and to have them all together makes it even better. I can not recommend this series highly enough, there are wolf shifters and just the right level of steam in this series. Once I started reading the books in the series I had a hard time putting them down and having them altogether in one box set makes re-reading them even easier.
Oh what a great series. It is about a wolf pack and a pact that was made with the king for fighting for him to win the crown. The current Lord Allistar Mac Falon was promised a English lady and that is Sibyl Blackthorn. She makes plans to escape Allistar. This is just the beginning. Great series and highly recommend this box set. Even a bonus storey about fey at the end.
