This is the story of Sir Geoffroi, the right hand and friend of Ren from the previous book.

Here, besides the love story between Geoff and Emma, much was told about the way the Saxons was treated by the conquering Normans. It is much more bloodthristy and cruel. There're some scenes that could make you gag. There's an awful lot of violence and suffering...

Emma is a daugther of a rebel half-Saxon half-Dane Lord who has been fighting William's army. She loves her father, but has enough of the peopl

#2 in the new and exciting "Medieval Warriors" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Another beautifully written tale of honor, Knights, passion, romance and love. Ms. Walker writes a vivid portrayal of the Norman Conquest, during the turbulent times of 1069 in England. A time of turmoil, betrayal, treason, sacrifice, angst, and amongst it all finding love, acceptance, forgiveness and healing.
Fast paced, action packed, thrill ride of emotions from angst to passion to healing and love. Fans

In the city of York, the year 1069, three years after the Norman Conquest, there is great unrest amongst the people. There is much hatred for King William I, a power hungry, ruthless leader who cares more for his crown and treasures than he does for his people. He travels the country, determined to punish the rebels who take up arms against him. “By the splendor of God, I will have my vengeance in the North.”
In the midst of the upheaval, Emma of York, widowed daughter of the leader of the rebels

Rogue Knight is yet another brilliant novel from Regan Walker. It is the second in the Medieval Warriors series, and although the characters from the first installment do make an appearance it is a standalone story. I love fiction set in the medieval era, and this one is the perfect blend of historical romance and action. Emma and Geoffroi are two characters that you really root for, and I was willing Emma to follow her heart as she was torn between her duty to her father and her love for the No ...more

Another of Ms. Walker's marvelous Norman knights (Sir Geoffroi de Tournai) and a daughter of the conquered people’s rebel leader in England (Emma of York), working to mitigate the senseless slaughter of a Norman king, meet on a bloody battlefield. And yes, they fall in love despite all of the familial and political obstacles. It is a wonderfully descriptive love story, proving again that something beautiful can come of something ugly. Ms. Walker’s writing and research on the history of that era ...more

Page-Turning Enemies to Lovers Romance

Rogue Knight is book 2 in Regan Walker's Medieval Warriors series. In it the author expertly brings the enemies to lovers theme vividly to life in a passionate, blood stirring and romantic read set during the aftermath of the Norman conquest.

The novel is set at the time when William the Conqueror was busy putting down insurrection after insurrection in the country, the north of England being particularly troublesome. Regan Walker’s research into this time pe

Sometimes, I stumble upon what I call a “WOW” book (or, in this case, an eBook). Rogue Knight has earned that privilege. This is the second novel in Regan Walker’s Medieval Warriors Series (the first one was The Red Wolfe’s Prize – which was also a great story).

When I read a historical novel, whether it’s filled with romance or not, I want to be able to get lost in the story while learning about the time period in question. Ms. Walker has the ability to draw me into her stories through her rend

The 2nd book by Regan Walker set just after the Norman Conquest is the story of Sir Geoffroi de Tournai, the friend of Sir Renaud De Pierrepont, the Red Wolf.

There is an uprising in York and King William has sent for the Red Wolf but he can't go as he has had an accident and is healing, so he sends Sir Geoffroi with a contingent in his stead.

Emma of York is the daughter of a rebel leader, Maerleswein, her adopted son Ottar has followed some of the rebels and is knocked on the head when she meets

Rogue Knight, Geoffroi and Emma were a great pair. I totally loved this book. Action packed, funny, and hidden secrets. From beginning to end you are wanting more and more, needing to know what happens next.

Though she is unsure of Normans, she realizes not all are bad. She tries to fight it, but knows she cannot. He learns the price of love.

This was a hard one for me to review because while there were so many things I appreciated about it, it just didn’t have the impact I was hoping for.

I have been a fan of Regan Walker’s for a few years now, and I’ve enjoyed her books, some more than others. The Red Wolf’s Prize was a great introduction into this series and into Walker’s wealth of research and knowledge into this period and events. I will definitely read any other books she adds to this series, as I do love the character

Whether author Regan Walker sets her story on sea or land, she writes a fascinating and transfixing story. Her choice of descriptive words paints a picture so real, so touchable, I stand within a scene, smelling and reacting to what is described. – quite the mesmerizing read. I enjoyed the historical background to this novel – historical romances that use actual historical events and characters to help drive the plot make for exciting reading.

Rogue Knight is set in the early medieval period, three years after the Norman invasion of England in 1066. It is the second installment in the Medieval Warriors series, in which Norman knights end up falling for the charms of fiery, independent English women.

Historical Romance is not really my favorite genre, but I am very interested in the period so I was happy to venture out of my comfort range. I'm glad I did. It's more than obvious that Regan did some serious research about Northumbria's rebellions against William the Conqueror. The poor citizens of York never seemed to get a break, and the Norman garrison behaved like the occupying force they were, driving the English and Danish residents to repeated resistance. I fell completely and totally in love with this story. I had a hard time putting it down and when I had to, it was done with regret. It is so well written that as the reader I felt like I was actually in the story seeing first hand the events that were taking place.

This is not a fluffy novel, there is bloodshed, rape, and politics. It was obvious that the author took her time to fully research the time period. I sure would not have wanted to live during William the Conqueror's reign, especially

The Medieval era was brutal, on and off the battlefield.

An excellent story and I felt I was really there back in 1069! Wonderful storytelling - not many authors write about this time period and Ms Walker has done a fabulous job, obviously researching history for the background facts. It would have been so hard to live in those times and I relived the hardships and battles with the characters. Very good writing and I recommend this book.

Rogue Knight begins with Emma of York hurrying home, only to discover some heavy-handed Norman Knights trying to take that which isn’t theirs, which has become all too commonplace in her beloved York. Crisis averted, this time, Emma makes her way home. She has family to see to. She has taken in twins, Finna and Ottar, whose parents were killed. She also has servants, Artur and Sigga who help her take care of the children and her home.
