This is a great Bible for personal use and small groups. One of my favorite Bibles to use for organizing a small group ministry at the church. All the leaders can work from the same basic outline found in this Bible. There is no need to create separate group materials. Sixty group sessions found in the middle of this Bible makes it user-friendly for the leader of a small group. This NIV Bible also includes Lectionary-based Bible studies for churches that follow the church year calendar. It is loaded with over 100 Bible study questions and provision is made for about ten different types of groups... women, men, youth, recovery, singles, couples, and more. I never put this bible down, there's always something new to use.

I read the Bible as part of a Cover to Cover year long goal. I switched versions about halfway through the year to the Zondervan NIV version. It's been a great experience to participate in this! I recommend reading a different version than you are used to, through the eyes of a child, with no preconceived ideas- to learn directly from the word. I used the readscripture.org app to help break up the reading and stay on track.

This book will forevermore remind me of the most precious group of friends ever there was. We gathered as couples once a month for 18 years, using this Bible most of those years. Great discussions,and bonding friendships that will last a lifetime no matter where we wander.
