I received this book from Goodreads Giveaways. What follows is my honest review of Sarah Starts Living.

I noticed first that this novel began as a 50,000 word challenge during National Novel Writing Month in November 2013. Congratulations to Ms. Medvedz on this book. It was well written, with a very good story line, character development, and a great message.

"Happiness is not something that you can catch and store in a box." Sarah has to figure this out after a couple of life-changing events occu

My book club read Sarah Starts Living and I was a little worried that it would be too much God for me. To my surprise, it was a great story which motivated and inspired me to live my life to the fullest. The characters are so well written and I didn't want the book to end. I think everyone who reads this book will gain insight in one way or another. I loved it!

Sarah Starts Living is a life lesson about finding your way back to God after losing him in the day to day monotony that becomes our life when we marry and have kids. We focus so much on serving our family, paying bills, being on time for soccer practice, that we forget to schedule time for our spiritual life. Sarah gets a wake-up call after her daughter leaves for college and manages to find her way back to God. It's a moving book that I sure many of us can relate to. It's a reminder of the lov ...more

My adoration for this book can't be stated loudly enough! It's a life-changer!! It would have been so easy for Sarah to wallow in her sorrow after her daughter goes off to college and her husband tells her that he no longer wishes to be married to her. Instead, she welcomes new opportunities to figure out where her life is headed next! I want EVERYONE to read this book. I keep thinking of different people I want to recommend it to. Spread the word! This is an amazing book!
