Lily Clarisa is a performer of the arts, performing her poetry at events such as Poetry Nights on Aruba presented by BASHA Foundation, Kosecha Kultural Festival on Curaçao organized by Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied, Queer Poetry Nights hosted by Unwanted Words Project and Caribbean Ancestry Club both in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Lily Clarisa has also participated as a storyteller and poet during the Children’s Book Festival 2017, which is organized yearly by Biblioteca Nacional Aruba.
In 2018, Lily Clarisa was given the title "poeta di patria" (the homeland's poet), while being a judge on Aruba's annual poetry competition.
In 2020 she won the Awesome Poet Award during Unwanted Words' 1st Queer & Feminist award show at Worm in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Today I had the honor (and luck) to meet the author of this beautifully written Poem Book at our local book store. She was absolutely wonderful and sweet!
As soon as I got home, I immediately jumped onto my bed and into this book.
Though a short book of poems, I liked that I felt like I was on a journey with this Author. I could relate to some of the things she was feeling, and could imagine what she felt while writing certain passages.
Some her words were so moving and i could feel a sense of relief of seeing what I was feeling written down on paper.
I think my favorite poem of this book was "One Syllable"
I re-read this poem at least five times through and could still not look away from this page. I don't know what it was about this poem, but it left me feeling speechless.
So, to Lily Clarisa,
keep writing your beautiful poems, and keep being humble and charming, it made reading your book all that much sweeter! Thank you for your sweet message and for signing my book. Good luck with any future writing projects and I wish you luck and all the best! Keep on writing!

Fazia algum tempo que eu não lia poemas tão belos e tocantes sobre amor e coração partido. Gostei bastante, até mais do que imaginei.
