Crimson Tides concludes the story of Daath, where reptilian like aliens have made plans to take over the world as their own planet is dying. I would recommend not to start reading this novel until you've read the rest of the series, as the action starts right from the first page.

While I think it was a nice conclusion to the series, the same things that bothered me during the earlier books where also here. I didn't like all the character

Divergent Paths All End In War

This series must be read in order. The first book is Broken Forest. The second book is Wicked Path. The third book is Deadly Dance. This is the fourth book. I can't wait to read the next one!

Avikar, Raven, and Ginna barely escaped Stormwood (and Lucy) with their lives. Not everyone with them was so lucky. The Order is still fighting there. It seemed important to warn the King about the invading Shifters and the Thirteenth Land but what they found was a delusional an

I was introduced to Eliza Tilton's, Daath Chronicles, when I received an ARC of Wicked Path - Book 2 of the series - from the publishers. By Chapter 3 of Wicked Path I knew I had found yet another favourite Young Adult author. So when I was offered an ARC for the next book in the series, I was more than a little excited.

Crimson Tides holds nothing back. Chapter 1 and – BANG! - you are back in the actions…back in the story.

This book, I felt, was a lot grittier than the previous, and at times it i

I didn't get to read the rest of the series before grabbing this one, which was a mistake. Although it wasn't hard to figure out what was happening and get a handle on who the characters are, this is a fantasy with depth, one which needs to be started at the beginning to get a real grasp and feel for the characters and their situations.

The story is written from several points of view, which thanks to chapter headings, is very easy to follow. The character's perspectives meld together well and ad

Yay, book 3 is here! Crimson Tides picks up where Wicked Path left off. We get three perspectives nicely woven through the story from Avikar, Lucino, and Jeslyn. All three are on separate missions with conflicting goals, so you know this will get tense!

It was nice to see Avikar struggle with his feelings toward fallen comrades, his father’s mysterious past, and his blooming love of Raven. Lucino’s character is also deepened, you have to root for him (most of the time!) even though he has the abi

The world is well-developed and designed, and there is a great deal of character and world development... for the most part. The only problem I found with the book personally is that I couldn't get myself into the heads of two of the three perspectives. Whenever it swapped to Lucino I wanted to skip because it didn't feel real (a guy determined to eradicate the human race who, out of the blue, falls in love with a human, but doesn't care enough to really do anything? Hmmmm...) and whenever it sw ...more
