I was given the privilege of reading Cain- Sins of the Father. A dark erotic thriller that delves into the biblical story of Cain and Abel, taking a different approach at the curse that has stricken Cain, traveling through generations..

Cain comes from a powerful family , Genevieve comes back into his life, a long lost love with the hope of continuing and growing into a passionate love affair.

Little do they know that outside forces are going to exert tremendous pressure on that new path they ha

I had the wonderful opportunity to help edit this amazing story. I am a voracious reader and I know a great original tale when I see it.

Cain is a man of expectations. Expected to take over the family business when the time comes. He expects to win the heart of the women he almost lost and begin a life with her. He is also a man with a dark legacy that he will someday take on.

But just when he thinks his life is finally coming together, dark forces come into play to destroy his whole world. An un

I was given a copy to read & review. What an awesome read it hooks you in right from the beginning. Once I started it was hard to put down & hated when real life got in the way. It's about Cain & Genevive who were a couple who went their separate ways when younger then fate throws them back together. We learn about Cain and the 'sins' of his father which affects his fate and future. I can't say too much more as it will give too much away. It's also a very hot read that ends in a clif ...more

Cain ~ Sins of the Father by Elias Raven is an incredibly unique and unforgettable epic romance filled with hot passion and undying love. It’s a fusion of the traditional biblical story, a battle between two brothers – good and evil, a family legacy and a curse that’s carried on for generations. This modern day dark, edgy story with its wicked twists and turns will bring us forward to present day. Can Cain and Genevieve’s love for each other survive?

I can't wait for more Mr. Raven!

OMG this has got to be one of the best books I have read. I was given this book for my honest review. Elias Raven is an amazing talented writer. Your captured in the first chapter. I had a hard time putting this book down. I'm not one for spoilers so you need to one click. it's also a cliffhanger

If you are looking for a book that has it all then you need to read this book. Love, action, suspense, with a different take on a Biblical story. Packed full of details and emotions carefully woven into each page to create a very intriguing story. This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and leave you desperate to get to the next in the series. The poetry and beautiful images at the beginning of each chapter sets the scene perfectly. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to r ...more

Boringly disgusting dnf

*yawn*

I'm not sure if the 5 Star Club read a different rendition of the book than I did, or if they just aren't used to quality writing. Either way, this book lacked everything a good book should incorporate; sentence structure, proper editing, an actual story that makes sense.

The quotes predicating the chapters were well written, and the pics were nicely placed (in areas where the writer could have chosen to use the space to write more nonsense). I had to stop myself fro

I literally shouted out loud on finishing this book "you can't end it like that!" This was followed by various mutterings from me and comments from the family that I must have enjoyed it to have reacted like that.

This book didn't wow me at the start, I'm not a fan of pages and pages of graphic sex and I think I got confused as to what the synopsis meant. I stuck with it and became intrigued. I stuck with it some more and became bemused, then I stuck with it and thought 'wow' I honestly didn't se

I can not in good conscience recommend this book. It was seriously poorly edited, the sex scenes were bordering silly and way over the top (which I wouldn't think is possible in an erotic novel, but apparently Cain has broken the mold on that front). I usually don't tell others whether or not to read a book based on my experience or opinion of it, but I would advise against picking this one up...I wasted some serious time that could have been better spent on other books on my TBR list. "Every family has secrets."

WOW!!! I'm completely blown away by Elias Raven's debut novel, Cain - Sins Of The Father!!! Impressive writing style and amazing storyline is guaranteed to grip the reader! Even though historic literature is not my strong suit, I LOVED how each chapter started out with a corresponding passage. Secrets get unveiled, family curses continue, and loved ones are placed in vulnerable positions; in this battle between good and evil. Total book hangover.....oh my.....need more

What the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is this shit?

Someone stab me in the eye with a pencil. This book was straight up annoying and at times I thought I was losing my mind to keep reading on. Big mistake. TAKE A WRITING COURSE! My time could've better been spent on reading those Vogue magazines Genevieve supposedly graced the covers of. Blech!

I'm pretty sure someone will be really mad at me for this words, but seriously this book is something else and not in the good way.
I thought started pretty good but then it all went downhill. I'm really sorry, I don't like to give bad reviews but the mix in this book was so weird, all the characters are kind of crazy, Cain telling Genevieve and I quote "It's time Baby; give Daddy your Orgasm." Thats is just wrong... And the use of the word baby, and baby girl... I counted 24 times just in 1 chap

I absolutely loved reading this novel by Elias Raven. It is a great beginning to this series. I love Mr. Raven's writing style. He makes it easy to to become engrossed in the story and characters while making sure you know which character is telling their part. I appreciate how he lets the reader know when the point of view changes. I not only fell in love with the characters, Elias Cain and Genevieve Bessette but with the storyline as well.

The book begins with the main character, Elias, rememb

When I started this book I had expected a second chance romance with some hot and kinky sex and a side of family drama and secrets that threatens their relationship. Being a sucker for a good romance novel with hot alpha males and melt your panties sex scenes I was already loving this story by the second chapter. What I wasn't expecting was an epic story about a families legacy involving tragic events, wealth, and power that threatens the future of this couple and forcing a confrontation between ...more

Elias Cain is heir to Cain Enterprise. His college love, Genevieve, comes to the States from Paris for a weekend of fun with Elias. In between their love-making sessions they reminisce about the past and why they didn't stay together after college graduation. To get through school Genevieve was a bar maid, not quiet marriage material for the heir apparent of the wealthiest family in the world. Genevieve had also angered her own parents when she changed her path from their dreams of her becoming ...more

The story kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next, each chapter is told from a different character, but at the exact time you are wondering what the character would be thinking. I felt what the characters where going through and my only dislike of the book was that it did end in a cliff hanger, I can't wait to see what Elias Raven does with his next book.
Elias describes what the love of his life feels like, how he felt looking into her eyes and then he reaches for the han

To be honest, I was a little skeptical about this book, since I have only read romance and erotica, and this book is a thriller.
I purchased this book after reading and thoroughly enjoying this author's poetry book, The Painted Shadows and quite frankly the wonderful cover pulled me in as well. The author's poems are so captivating that I decided to give Cain a chance, and let me tell you, ONE OF THE BEST DECICIONS I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!

How to start this review without any spoilers? Tough! ...

I am not exactly sure what I was expecting when I bought this book. By title I wasn't sure if it was going to lean more towards the Bible story of Cain or something completely different. My friends were discussing how good it was but giving me little details (I now know why). As I started reading the book, I soon learned I was reading a wonderful story with references to the Bible Story. The story took a bit of time to develop for me but once it did, I was captivated to the point I read into the ...more

Cain, Sins of the Father was definitely a surprise read for me. I will be honest, in the beginning I thought I was reading another nonsense romance novel that just reeked of sex. But I was soon taken by surprise with the almost complete 180 this book took into a mysterious story full of biblical traditions and secrets, ohhh secrets galore! I was hooked!!

I found myself paying much more attention, not wanting to miss a clue or character that adds to this puzzle of a story. Oh and did I mention I l

Story with a bible based on Cain and Abel, with a modern take. Interesting read with a mix of poetry, erotica, bible story, technology and paranormal. At first I was a bit lost with what was going on in this story, I hadn't read anything about this, so no blurb. Once I got into the flow and started to figure out the crossover between the bible story and the Cain of now though it was ok. Interesting take on the Cain and Abel from the original story with the pa

What an interesting concept for a book! When that book turns into something I could not put down, it's even better. There were some twists and turns. Some I saw coming a mile away, others were sprung at the very last possible second.

Having said that, there are a few issue that kept me from giving this a 5 star. The main characters, Elias and Genevieve. His constant use of the term "baby" for her. A few times is fine...but more than that is just annoying, but it did not dim my pleasure of the boo

An amazing read

I enjoyed how the writer incorporated poetry at the beginning of each chapter. Give it a more person touch and set the tone of each chapter. Elias is a young man that has to become the head of a corporation, take on a family curse and a surprise family member that he never knew existed. All while dealing with lose and reuniting with the love of his life. The trials and tribulations that this young man goes through keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is a must have book for yo

This book kind of blew me away, it was not at all what I expected.

This book gives a new spin on the story of Cain and Abel with a little bit of kink thrown in to make the story more interesting. The story will keep you intrigued till the very end, and just when all the action and suspense is at an all time high, the book ends leaving us all hanging as to what happened to Genevieve and what will happen with Elais.

I would need more of Elais and his story as Cain.

Elias’s book “Cain – Sins of the Father” is a MUST READ. This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning, and I literally could not put the book down. It is so well written and the cliffhanger at the end left me wanting much, much more. I can’t wait until the second book releases. Just like Elias Raven’s poetry, I highly recommend adding this book to your collection.

This is a very well written book and I did enjoy it. The characters were just great and I loved them all. I was a little skeptical at first, but once I got into it I really couldn't put it down. Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, it was just a great read. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Awesome

I absolutely loved it, the "love scenes" between Elias and Genevieve were smokin hot. The Qaylin dungeon scene was very stimulating. The last chapter left me on the edge of my seat. I will and have already recommended this book to other friends.
