The second Princess Juniper book brings Juniper to new challenges and again she rises to the occasion! What a strong, thoughtful young woman Juniper has become! A leader in the making-we shall have to wait and see in the third PJ book if it is enough to take back her beloved Torr from the Monsians.

Recommended for your middle grade readers who love strong female characters and high fantasy.

Great book! I love the way the Anju live, and it's sort of a change in what you thought about some of the characters.

I'm going to assume that Kindle Books come out first or something, because I have no idea why else I would be one of the first people to review this book. But the book was SO good, and I love it!

Ammi-Joan Paquette has never met a ghost, mummy, monster, skeleton, or witch as far as she knows. This book, she says, was inspired by a game she used to play with her sister: "Most of the details have been lost to time, but I still remember the shivery thrill I got when we played it. So, I drew on that same energy to write a spooky picture book, which eventually became A Ghost in the House." In ...more

“Juniper remembered something her father had said in one of his endless Political Discourse lectures, a trick he used when he was out of ideas but couldn't afford to show it. "People need strong direction from their ruler," he'd said. "But the direction doesn't always have to come from you alone. A wise leader will use every tool available, brawn and brain alike.” 0 likes
