In this story we meet Quintilius, the Alpha male of his pack. He is in love with Ludwig, who is an Archangel. The Archangel in charge of upholding the laws, he isn’t allowed to have a mate. Quintilius has been in love with Ludwig since he first set eyes on him. The bond/mating was instant. Ludwig feels the same but he puts his duties first. Will Ludwig ever put Quintilius first? Will he finally give him all his love attention? They belong together, when will Ludwig just accept that and stop putt

A Love That Transcends Time!

I will never tire of reading Monica La Porta's Immortals, they each have been a delight to read and this is no exception by far..

I know the mighty Alpha Quintilius from the previous books and it has been a delight to finally read his story. The love that transcends Millennia, the love between the Alpha Quintilius and the Archangel Ludwig has been a rollercoaster from the start millennia ago although a true love, it is not allowed among their kind and Ludwig is very ad

Strong sexy alphas struggle through prejudice, betrayal, threats and heartbreaking hurts to find happiness in the arms of their one true soulmate. This book was a little different from the others. Not only did we get one love story but there were essentially two. Because of the two stories I was left a little disappointed with this book. I enjoy the build up of a romantic relationship and the struggles that they encounter. With this there wasn't much build up with both relationships and I didn't ...more

I was gifted an ARC of 'The Lonely Wolf' from Monica La Porta, in exchange for an honest review.

I started this book & soon became unsure as to who this book was about... Quintilus or Lupo & continuing through the rest of the book I was still unsure. But then I think it was about both Quin & Lupo. I was quickly enthralled in the words on the page, I didn't want this to finish & then certain events happened & I had to put the book down. Had to run & get tissues to wipe my e

Another great one.....

This one was amazing but sad at the same time. I was happy lupo found his father and his mate. At the same time things went so fast for lupo and Jasmine and then they lost. I loved how everyone were able to get hea. I look forward to the next one to see what happens to lupo.

***ANGELS-WEREWOLF'S-WERE-PARENTS ALL EQUAL LOVE OR O THEY?*****
I received an ARC from the author MONICA LA PORTa in exchange for an exchange for an honest review. This is Mismousey's very honest review of her first in the series following the teenages of THE IMMORTALS-THE LONELY WOLF (THE IMMORTALS #6.
Having read all of the other books in this fabulous and out of this Immortals world series. Ms. La Porta has taken it to the next step farther when she has written about the children and teens in

Some months ago I read and reviewed Raphael by Monica La Porta and I might just have jumped the gun and said that it was the author's best work yet. I am now publicly going to eat my words and bow to Monica La Porta's genius and state that The Lonely Wolf is by far much more unforgettable. I had been waiting for Quintilius ever since the start of The Immortals series. Marcus had my love from page one, Alexander was adored in her second book. Samuel and Peter were both unforgettable, but none hav ...more

I am giving this review on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog. What can I say, I have a huge weakness when it comes to Alpha Wolves. This book just makes it even more of a weakness. But I’m not complaining, I swear! What happens when you are in love with one another just to not be able to even love them. Yeah, confusing and upsetting I know. Well when you love an Archangel who is not allowed to mate, that’s what you end up with. Even though the love has been there for many a years ...more

Two thousand years, only meeting your beloved off and on periodically over that time. Two thousand years, keeping a love secret that would destroy you both, because...well, angels are racists. And now that Ludwig is the archangel, it could go on forever being a dirty little secret. Who can blame Lucius Seneca Quintilius for being fed up? Certainly not I. The more I read about their relationship, the more I wanted to pluck a few of Ludwig's feathers. Oh, they have both had their busy lives, their ...more

This was the very first book by the author "Monica LaPorta" it is actually number 7 in a series BUT is also a stand alone book she assured me.
I am a very avid reader of paranormal books but this book and Monica's take right out of the gate had me intrigued. Being a former student of the humanities and psychology I had a VERY interesting take on the style or the way in which she portrayed the characters struggles thru relationships and society it was as though they were the same as the ones we h

I think this book is one of my favorites by Monica La Porta. There is still the continuing characters but this one dove pretty deep into emotions!

Lucius Seneca Quintilius is a legitimate and powerful businessman/alpha werewolf. His only problem is that he has been in love with Ludwig for 2,000 years, an angel who is about to be promoted to archangel, one of the most powerful positions. They have kept their forbidden love affair a secret but their love is being tested and may not be able to survi

OH, MAN, I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK OF IMMORTALS....

Author, Monica LaPorta is a newer Author with a flair for getting a story and a series right. Her ability to balance several plot twists within the main paranormal romance plot is simply amazing. In each book of this series you must keep track of plots because they grow with the series. Each book has a cliff hanger that is wonderfully unexpected.

Inter-species relations, diabolical plots, gangs, immortal love and action, adventure, myste

Awesome as expected!

I received a free ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved Monica LaPorta's writing since I first read The Priest. And this one is no exception.

The Lonely Wolf is the 6th installment of the Immortals series and is titled for the character Lupo Solis who's name means the Lonely Wolf. However, the story is not exclusively his. We finally get to hear the story of Quintillus who is the Alpha of the werewolf clan. Quintillus has been important in previous

I have been reading this series completely out of order.....but have never felt lost in any of the stories. Although the characters appear throughout the entire series they do not have to be read in order....but probably are better if you do. I loved this story and was rooting for Lupo to connect with his father throughout. This is the first book in the series that has made me cry.....and wish for a little better connection for Lupo. I can not wait to see what happens next in this series and wha ...more

Amazing

What a beautiful and amazing story I loved it with all my heart and suggest you read all of this series you won't be disappointed I bought this book not sure if I would like it or not I hadn't really heard of the author but the description of the book interested me. Its about a young man named Lupo that was having a hard life living in a orphanage and didn't know who his father is and fell in to the wrong crowd. Then finding his soulmate during a delivery and all sorts of trouble started.

This was the first book I've read in this series, and the book functions fairly well as a standalone book. This was a excellent romantic tale that contained moments of sweetness and poignancy. The author has created a fascinating world full of werewolves, vampires, and archangels. The male leads of Ludwig and Quintilus are irresistible – you can't help rooting for them! Overall a good read.

I love this series and this book didn't disappoint. I was surprised and heartbroken at the same time. I loved the friendship and love that all the characters had or developed for each other. I do have a few questions that I am sure will be answered in other books in this series so I can't say enough how I can't wait for the next one.
Secretly Reading
3.5 stars. This is the most PG-rated gay PNR I've read. Still, the leads were enjoyable and their romance believable. I felt a tad overwhelmed with all the secondary characters since I hadn't read any of the previous books in this otherwise het series.

Monica La Porta landed in Seattle several years ago. Despite popular feelings about the Northwest weather, she finds the mist and the rain the perfect conditions to write.
