Another great book in this series. I'm hooked on the Back Down Devils and looking forward to the next book. Great characters and a decent story line that keeps you hooked into the story.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review
Holy smokes. This book had me focused and I couldn't get enough. The author draws you into the story with the writing and doesn't let you lose focus. If I could've given more stars, I would. I have not read any other books in this series but I wasn't lost when I read this. I was able to follow along with the book.
Nate is in the MC and he will do whatever it costs to keep the club protected. He comes from a different background and one that was way more dangerous then the club he is now. He does what he is told and will let no one stop him. He had someone try to kill him, stuff is going on that the club is trying to figure out but one day he meets Mia and things start to change. He finds out who Mia is connected to and that's when things get real.
Mia was desperate and she needed money. She was told to get close to the MC and report back. She didn't know what she was getting into but if being able to get away from the life she has she'll do anything, that is until she meets Nate and gets taken to the club.
This story will take you on a journey where you don't want to miss or skip any parts of what's going on. It is a really good story and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend. Great job to the author.

Nate was nearly killed because he saw Chief Jerry, the one supposed to be their contact, betraying them. Despite being hurt Nate remembered what happened and told his Club president, Miller, because they had to do something to end that. Back Down Devil MC had been protecting Frelen, the town, from drug dealers and needed to keep it safe. But corruption was all around Frelen and they can’t trust anybody. They needed to deal with the situation carefully because the corrupt police chief and the judge can take down the club. They were powerful and used the city resources to their benefit. Mia was the judge step niece. She worked in a strip club serving drinks and for her step uncle when he needed her because she needed the money. Now, the judge was forcing her to follow the Back Down bikers and report to him. But she was caught by Nate and Blaine and they took her to Back Down Devil Club. Nate told her that if she didn’t talk soon she was going to be dead. Fearing for her life she explained what she knew about the situation. Nate was hesitating because she didn’t trust her but he felt attracted to Mia. He had a dark past and had oath to not get involved in any relation. And here he wanted to protect her and convince the Miller to use her for their plans. He was struggling with his emotions. Despite her precarious and dangerous situation Nate was candy eye for Mia. She too, felt attracted and soon they were making out and taking care of their sexual needs. From then on plans were made to confront the chief and get evidence against the corrupt. Innocent lives were wasted, violence was the order of the day, the rival MC Coast Road seemed to gain ground and Nate and Mia continued struggling with their feelings. And then, Uncle Jake, the judge, pulled the knot. The story end with a cliffhanger. This was a full of action, suspense, violence, intrigue and steamy sex story. The chemistry between Nate and Mia was there since the beginning. Both were struggling with their life styles and what they had done to survive. Neither Mia nor Nate were proud of their past and the decisions made and we see this through the story. Also, we see how the power and greedy corrupt and destroy lives. Very good story that totally caught my attention.

Definitely better! This story had more of a plot and gave a better insight into the backgrounds of our characters. Loved Nate...he fought hard not to love Mia but had no choice. Fate is a bitch! Also couldn't believe the backstabbing amongst elected officials.
All in all, I enjoyed this book.

Great book
This is another awesome book by London Casey. I really enjoyed reading about Nate and Mia. I will be reading the next book in the series.

I was really upset about Jacob, wish you could have made it to were they found him alive and maybe Mia and Nate could have raised him but other then that loved it

Not even welcome at her step-uncle's front door, Mia cautiously made her way to the Judge's backdoor. He had a job for her, an opportunity to make some extra money, but before entering his fine home, she suffered the humiliation of him checking her for any signs of drug use. She barely made ends meet with her bartending job at the strip club. Uncle Jake was dirty, taking bribes and arranging underground gambling rings. That was usually where Mia came in, helping out at those parties.
The upside of her visits at Uncle Jake's was getting to see her step cousin, ten year old Jakey. She worried about him living with such a dangerous man. His Mom, Aunt Theresa "disappeared" long ago and one could easily guess what happened to her.
Finally getting to the point of the Judge's summons, “I’m going to take down Back Down Devil. I have resources you wouldn’t believe. And your job is to follow them. Find out what they know about me and my friends. So I can make my next move.” Mia looked at the cash, then looked at Uncle Jake. Follow Back Down Devil MC? This wasn’t a job… it was a death wish."
Nate almost lost his life, after getting hit on the head discovering their rival Coast Road MC running drugs and their own insider Chief Jerry and the Judge, possibly working together. Now Nate was playing it that he remembered nothing from that night after the blow to the head. Back Down Devil didn't want to tip Chief Jerry off that they were onto them, but holding back this information from the Prez had Nate in hot water.
Mia's non-existent PI skills failed her miserably later, when the two Back Down Devil bikers she was tailing quickly got the upper hand on her. Even with a gun to her head after stopping her, Mia fights the attraction to Nate. She quickly finds herself in the basement of their compound where her life is up for a vote. Having delivered her himself, Nate intervenes to spare her, but only if she talks. She does more than talk when things heat up between the two.
It's war in Frelen and Mia had better pick sides carefully. Double-crossing either is deadly and it seems only one person, Nate, wants her alive.
This is only the second MC story I've read of Casey London's. I loved it. I got the HEA I wanted, lots of heat and sizzle and the cliffhanger at the end leaves me anxious for the next in this series.

It has been months since I read the book and I failed to write a review at the time, but I want to correct that now because this book has stayed with me, and if a book stays with you the least you can do is take 5 minutes and share your thoughts right?
I love Mia she is told to get close and spy on the club by her horrible uncle, a REALLY horrible man. The author did a great job of drawing really hateful villains that make you root for the hero/heroine even harder. At any rate, Mia is kind of a crappy spy, but its ok because that means Nate catches her pretty easily and brings her back to the clubhouse to figure out what the heck is going on. And Mia and Nate have chemistry, chemistry, hot, hot chemistry.
Mia comes from a crappy background, but Nate's is even worse. He has done awful things for bad men and wants nothing to do with women. But now that they have brought Mia to the club to use for information on her uncle, Nate cannot seem to help wanting to protect her from the club. Of course, while the club is working to figure out what is up with Mia and the judge and their rivals, etc, something has to be done to pass the time. Fortunately for us, this means lots of hot Nate and Mia action. Honestly, this is what has stuck with me from the book. The hotness and the ending cause woo nelly did it have all the feels. Tension, passion, sadness, relief, vengeance, they are all there.
This book is a standalone, there are some plot points that may have been a bit easier to follow if you had read earlier books, but they were explained well enough to not be bothersome. This is the first one I read and I wasn't left feeling lost, other than just wanting to read more of the stories because I liked the characters and I like the author's still. It flows well, the characters are well drawn (bad and good), and the action between the sheets and out of the sheets really pulls you in and makes for a great ride.

3 *** = I liked it
Although some series have books that can be read as stand-alone stories, this is not one. If you don't start at the beginning, you really won't get what's happening all the way through this series. It has continuing plot lines and characters.
There is quite a bit of action in this story, which is what I like so much about this series. The previous couple of books have been building up to a confrontation that mostly plays out in this book, but not entirely.
The MC guys are all in this book, but none of the previous women are. There's no family or kid stuff at all.
This one is a huge cliffhanger, for the couple in this story, Nate and Mia, and the series.
We are left with two people who are in the middle of a biker war and seemingly have nowhere to live outside of the clubhouse.
And... this wasn't proofread very well. It's not close to the worst book I've read for mistakes, but there were enough to merit at least a half star off... annoying.
The story had lots of action and lots of verrry long smex scenes, so don't be surprised if you find yourself skimming through them after a while.
I don't know, there was something different in the atmosphere of this book versus the previous books in the series. All of the bikers are in it, but their characters seem darker and there is almost no personality to them, except for Blaine, who is just as gross as always. There aren't many scenes with levity or even much conversation between the guys. No parties.
And, the whole thing with the crooked judge having Mia follow a bunch of 1% bikers around in her car seemed really far-fetched to me. Even so, if you have been reading the series, this book is a must-read because of all that happens in this book.

I received a copy for an honest review. The Back Down Devil MC is a family an one of their own Nate was attacked and left for dead Chief Jerry says that he was their to help Nate but Nate knows better and that the Chief is not on their side anymore because he is helping the Coast Road MC run drugs through their town Frelen and Nate tells Miller that they cannot trust the chief anymore even though Miller the President is not sure that is true he still listens to what Nate has to say in the mean time The Judge tells his step niece that he wants information on the BDDD MC and he wants her to follow them and provide him with information on their comings and goings she is caught right away by Nate and Gaige they take her back to the clubhouse where she is questioned and held prisoner over night she and Nate become close but not that close that he want kill her if he thinks that she is playing the MC yet he tells her that he will try to help her but she has to do what he tells her she speaks with the Pres. Miller and he tells her to text her uncle Jake (the judge) they let her leave to meet the the judge the next day and he believes what she tells him about their movements and she is suppose to go right back but she decides to leave but stops and Nate and some guys come for her and take her back to the clubhouse things get heavy between Nate and Mia and the violence escalates between the MC with The chief and The Judge since they know that they are working to destroy their club with the help of the Coast Road MC and then comes to a head. I have not read the whole series but this story is intense with suspense, violence and romance for Nate and Mia.

Nate is a Back Down Devil patched member who lives by the patch and will die for the patch. He is the hot, well defined biker with a past and the physical scars to remind him of so everyday. Nate is an angry man and a killer. And he definitely did not do relationships. Women were there for sex only.
Mia, independent, has had a hard life. She works in a strip club as a waitress - She did not have the chest to be a stripper according to her boss. So when she needed extra money she did side jobs for her uncle, the Judge. She hated him but her nephew, Jacob was there and she loved to visit with him.
I really enjoy London Casey's world of Back Down Devil MC. It is raw, dirty, gritty and real. To me this is based more on that of a real MC that you see on TV documentaries. Granted as in any romance there is boy meet girl and the rest is history. However it is how the author gets from point A to point B that is intriguing.
You do not have to read and of the novels or novellas in order as they could stand alone. However it is my opinion that if you read them in their order you get the deep dynamics of these men.
London Casey is the pen name for the best selling Romance author Karolyn James. So if you want to follow her on any social media look for Karolyn.

This story packed a punch that will pulled me in and didn't let go until the end.
This story and the vivid characters tugged at my emotions. Mia found herself caught between her sinister uncle, the M.C. that threatens her, and her fascination with Nate. She felt such utter despair at times. Nate was a sexy knight in biker leather. The club is his family, they come first. He didn't want to have feelings for Mia, he just couldn't fight it. The club didn't trust Mia, and everyone was strongly against them getting together. I liked how Nate was so protective of his woman.
This series is amazing; I loved coming back here to it. It is dark, gritty, suspenseful, and not everybody gets a happy ending. This book was passionate, hot, and entirely my favorite one yet. I loved the life like characters, even kinky Blaine. I even loved watching as the danger kicked up and took an unexpected turn for the worse. Things got even crazier in this book, but it never disappointed me. It had plenty of action, with gun fights, murder, secrets, and betrayal. The heated moments sizzled with passion and lust. It's a great book that was fast paced, with twists and turns that kept me on edge guessing what was around each corner. And all that led up to a stunning end that took me by complete surprise. All I can say is that after reading this book, I can't wait for the next one.

Let me just say that I am hooked on this series!! Was given an ARC by the author for my honest review. This was my first read in the Back Down Devil MC series and I can't wait to read the rest. I love that each book is a stand alone, so I doesn't matter what order you read them in.
Steel Temptation is an MC story that will not disappoint. It has everything you want in a good MC story - danger, corruption, suspense, violence, rival gangs, gun fights, murder, big rough alpha males, and steamy sexy love scenes.
Mia needed money to pay her bills so she went to her step uncle for help. He is the towns Judge and as corrupt as they come. He gives her the task of following the MC and report back to him. She has no idea what she is doing and ends up getting caught and taken back to the MC compound by Nate and Blaine. Even though she know that she will never make it back out of the MC alive - she is attracted to Nate and will enjoy him as much as she can for as long as she can.

Suspenseful and Raw
This is my first time reading in the subgenre of MC riders and I guess London Casey popped my MC cherry.
Her focus is up-in-your face, raw, and real. The vulgarity and reality of the violence these rogues of the road face, on a daily basis, is eye opening and the suspense is consuming. This is not a nice romance, its rough, harsh, and unrestrained. The dialogue is coarse and realistic, so if you get offended with lots of F bombs, this book is not for you. If you’re looking for a refined hero, look elsewhere. But what Nate lacks in pretty words he makes up plenty with a sexy, sinful body in the bedroom and a loyalty for his club and brothers.
I pushed myself to go beyond my comfort zone and the further I delved into this rough diamond, the more I was engrossed by the characters and the mind boggling plot twists. I literally couldn’t stop watching the train wreck I knew was coming, I had to know how Nate and Mia could possibly end up. Its not your typical HEA, but a HFN. Though the writing I found kind of choppy in parts of the book, in all, the storyline was what carried this book.

Drugs are being smuggled into and around the small town of Frelen. The Back Down Devil MC are trying to break up the smuggling ring but need to get proof to the authorities. But chief Jerry and the judge both have their hands in the smuggling, they are making money from the illegal operations. Nate is a member of the Back Down Devil MC and has stumbled upon the operation but gets hit over the head and remembers little or at least this is what he tells the authorities. Enter Mia the niece of Jake, Jake runs illegal poker games underground and pays Mia to help out, Mia doesn't like doing it but she needs the money for rent and bills. This time Uncle Jake wants her to follow the bikers and see where their clubhouse is. Mia has never followed anyone before and ends up getting caught by the bikers and questioned but her answers do not or lack of answers make the group very cautious Nate takes a liking to Mia and protects her from the other bikers (they wanted to kill her as a spy). This is a gritty type of romance with its up and downs but it was a engaging story. I enjoy reading books by London Casey/Karolyn James her writing style flows nicely and is not over narrated.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review & since I am fond of MC stories, I was very pleased. I hadn't read earlier Back Down Devil MC romances but that didn't impact on my enjoyment of this book. The MC members were strong, rough, hard men used to dealing with violence & corruption & there's plenty of that in this story of Nate & Mia. He's seen & done it all & he takes hold of Mia, a young woman doing some spying on the MC for her step-uncle, a local judge who wants to take the Back Down Devils out of the picture. He gives her protection & she's overwhelmed by this Alpha male. There's plenty of action in the book, with some interesting development between the characters as Nate become more involved with Mia & alliances change within the town. It was a satisfying read & raised my interest enough to go & get the earlier books in the series. If you're familiar with this series you'll want to read Steel Temptation but if you aren't, don't hesitate to read this as a stand-alone - its a steal.

So hot! I loved it!!
I loved this story!! Awesome story of a motorcycle club trying to keep a town clean, safe from other clubs and high officials who want to make quick and easy bucks from allowing drugs in town. In this town the major, judge and sheriff are all dirty. Mia gets caught up in the middle of it all by her step uncle the judge. She needs money to help pay her rent and other bills so he has her trailing the down dirty mc to find out what they are up to......she has no clue how to do trail anyone and ends up being caught by a couple of the MC men. As soon as she sees Nate she has an immediate attraction to him even though she's scared to death. She's always been told the MC if full of murderers and criminals.
When they insist she goes back to their compound with them she knows she will not live to see another day. In the meantime she's going to enjoy everything that Nate can offer her. Neith one expected to fall in love. Very interesting, secretive, explosive and hot sex. Definite 5 stars

To be honest it took me just a little bit to get into this book, but only because I was taking my time to get to know the characters. As with any MC book there is going to be a lot of characters. But as I got to know the characters I got to like the book. This book had some steamy parts and of course you had your bad boy thing going on.
I really felt sorry of Mia. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She had this cold heartless uncle who put her life in danger. Mia was pretty even though she did not know how pretty she was. Though I did find her a little to naive to be a girl who worked in a strip club.
Nate was a member of the Back Down Devil MC. He was nice looking and the only one that did not want Mia dead. Her life was in his hands. She needed to trust him and tell him what he wanted to know to stay alive. The only thing is can Nate trust her? Will Mia be able to stay alive?

STEEL TEMPTATION (A Back Down Devil MC Novel) by author London Casey was a great read. For me the story seemed a little slow at the beginning, but I can see why the author needed to remind us of what had occurred to Nate. I was quickly hooked on the book by chapter 2 and loved the intensity of Nate. Who am I kidding all the brothers of Back Down Devil MC are intense. Although Nate and Mia came together from opposite sides, their relationship shows how people who are different can still find each other. To be honest there were a couple of moments in the book that were shocking and I cried, but I know it was needed for the brothers’ stories to continue. This reader will be impatiently waiting for the next in the wicked series of biker brothers.
This reader recommends this book, heck in fact the whole series for those who like dirty talking bikers who know what they want and how to get it. Trust me there is at least one biker that will be your favorite or if you are like me them all.

Sizzling hot! Mia needed money to help with her bills so she went to her uncle Jake. Instead of giving her a job as a server at one of his illegal poker games, he tells her to follow the Back Down Devil MC to earn the money. Of course, she has no idea how to follow them from a distance and gets caught. The chief of police, and a local judge (Mia's uncle), are double crossing the MC. Mia is taken to the MC compound and told if she doesn't tell them what she knows, she will be killed. She agrees to cooperate with the club and ends up falling for Nate, one of the club members with a dark past. She is working one of her uncle's poker games when all hell breaks loose and she is saved by the bikers.

Betrayal and Hope is abundant in this book!
Nate is a patched member of the Back Down Devil MC with a secret past. His background ties him to the mob, so he was trained to kill by the best. He remembers things about people that he was supposed to be able to trust but if his memories are correct then he and his brothers are no longer safe and must fight for their town. Mia is called up by her uncle to follow the Back Down men and get information on them that he can use to bring them down. She realizes really quick that this particular job is a death sentence, but is desperate and does it anyway. When Nate catches her following him, he takes her back to the clubhouse. This sets them on a path that may destroy them and the MC. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one!

All I can say is WOW. What a riveting story. So much going on ….intrigue, lies, betrayal. The Back Down Devil MC is one hell of a group. Sexy men that are dangerous and so alpha that you wonder if there is any testosterone left for other men. And then there is Mia…a naïve young woman with a step uncle that is so evil you have a hard time believing some of the stuff he does. What he wants is control of the town of Frelen and he wants to get rid of the Back Down Devil MC so he can achieve that end. There’s only one problem…the men in the MC are not going to go quietly or without a fight. This is their story…good, bad, evil….it is all laid out for you here. Grab the book and then hold on for the ride of your life.

This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read it you will want to go read the others. Mia has no choice but to spy on the MC for her uncle since she is broke and desperate. When the MC finds out who she is and that she was sent to spy by their most hated enemy she knows her life is in danger. Nate was left for dead by Mia’s uncle so he doesn’t know why he has feelings for her or why he wants to protect her. It you are looking for a great hot MC book that has romance, mystery, and suspense then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this author.

I love these Back Down Devil MC books (this is my 5th one) and although they seem to be a bit disconnected and at times confusing to follow, they usually get right back on track and feature a different couple.
Nate and Mia made a very sad and broken couple...each one fighting their own issues and although it would have been easy for Nate to just put a bullet through her pretty head, something made him hold off and give her a chance to live. They fight, they struggle for survival and they beat the odds against way too many adversaries...to find something they both have been missing from the lives.
Ends on a cliffhanger that will lead to the next book and more problems for the club.

This is the latest release in the Back Down MC series. OMG I started with this one and I couldn't put it down! This book had everything you need in a good MC novel! I hate to admit it but I'm new to London Casey's MC world. I Ann so upset that I haven't discovered her sooner. Ante grabbed my heartstrings and just stole them. I felt so bad for him and Mia. Mia was a great character with issues of her own. Coming from a highly dysfunctional family. They kinda needed each other. Highly recommend this book and I'm gonna go back and catch up on the rest of the series. Can't wait to go back to this amazing world.
