He’s single, wicked, and a perfect pretend boyfriend...but exactly who is she fooling?

Murphy DeWitt enjoyed two years touring American consulates in Europe as an assistant to a diplomatic attaché. It was a dream come true, and a hell of a learning experience. A master of languages, she knows how to get her point across. Romance, however, proves to be a tongue twister. Now

I had a bit of curiosity about Giovanni from previous books, so I figured he'd be sexy and irresistible once we got to read his story. I wondered what kind of woman could possibly hope to tame him...

And, wow, did Long deliver! Murphy DeWitt was a gal used to adventure and she turned out to be more than a good match for the sexy Italian Centurion. Long has a unique gift for making the ordinary extraordinary and in this case...she manages to make an airport sexy. Fabulous story with great tension,

Even for a novella it's way too short and superficial. They meet in an airport, half an hour later they have sex in the shower in the lounge, then the evening they have sex in a hotel suite, not a lot happens around these scenes. No talk about her family's reaction, about her future when she's from America and he is from Italy, just one phrase from her Alpha saying "I have a job proposition for you", which can be understood as "you'll go to Italy to work for me".

Can you find love from a chance meeting in an airport? You can if you are a werewolf. It takes the human side a bit longer. But smoking hot sex isn’t a bad way to get to know each other.
Murphy DeWitt is like many young women no matter that she speaks multiple languages she still gets flustered by mom asking about her love life or lack thereof. So Murphy does what any girl away from home does. She lied. She told her mom she has a beau. She is headed home to Willow Bend from Italy to be in Shiloh

I received an ARC of 'Single Wicked Wolf' from the author, in return for an honest review.

I absolutely LOVED this installment of the "Wolves of Willow Bend" series, "A Wicked Tale" installment. As soon as I started reading I was drawn into the story & found myself with my fingers crossed for the lead characters. I loved reading about Murphy & her travels away from her pack, her struggles with dealing with her new wolf & the lack of her pack when travelling. Then we met Italian Giovan

I think this is my favorite novella, at least up to this point in the series.

With Margo and Salvatore traveling to Willow Bend for her brother Matt's wedding, the Italian Alpha sends his Centurion Giovanni to do advance security.

Giovanni's flight takes him to Chicago where he smells a female wolf and strategically places himself in her way.

Murphy DeWitt has been traveling the globe as a diplomatic interpreter. Returning to Willow Bend is something she has been looking forward to, with one tiny e

Hmmmm, boy is this complicated... I love HL’s non paranormal books. She writes Hero’s that have so much respect for women and so much honor as men that it’s impossible not to want to read more of her books, and her heroine are always strong, wonderful women you want to get to know. There are no power Dom/sub games in those works and while the H is Alpha with a capital A they are never overbearing with it.
Which makes reading these stories so much harder, I know it’s the wolf thing and dominance

Quick read but good enough to hold over for the next story. Not enough to really add to anything that's going on. If this wasn't a paranormal read then I'd given it a lower score because their relationship was only over a week maybe.

Single, Wicked Wolf

Great addition to the ongoing tale of WillowBend. Well worth the time to read. Reenforces the character of Mason’s understanding of his pack.

One Hot Bite!

Somehow I missed this novella in the series. This novella is part of the Willow Bend series and it is one hot little bite of delicious reading! Very short but very good. Need a smile, read this one.

I love the Wolves of Willow Bend. They captured my heart with the first book and each book gets better and better.

What do you get when you take a Willow Bend Wolf and a Seven Hills Centurion?

You get a steamy hot romance filled with laughter and fun.

Murphy DeWitt is returning to Willow Bend after two years of traveling the globe as a diplomatic interpreter. She is looking forward to being home except for one little thing. She told her mother she had a wolf boyfriend to get her to stop pushing on

this is the second of the "wicked tale" books I've read...I had to say I wasn't expecting it to be much more than a lot of sex, a thin story line and that's it. I skim read the last one. This was better.

Of course, yes there was a lot of hot, steamy and graphic screens in there - it's about werewolves finding their mates, so it's going to be- but I'm surprised that I actually enjoyed the story....the characters....the way it was wrote.

Following Murphy on her journey home from a 2 year touring job

Holy sexy wolf in an airport!!!! I will never be able to fly again without thinking about this incredibly hawt scene! Oh my! Anyways, this was such a fun book. A warrior werewolf meets a diplomatic werewolf. Very different and yet perfect for each other. I now need to read the rest of the series because I absolutely want to!

Murphy, I loved her name ps, is finally coming home from working with diplomats across the world. She misses her family, her pack, and she wants to be a regular wolf again.

I just can not get enough of the wolves from Willow Bend. For each one she develops more and gives us more of a personal look into them and who they are. There are also other packs brought into and told about but each one will be tied to Willow Bend in some way. Wolves gotta love'em-once they know what they want they go after it not being shy at all. Murphy is returning to her pack in the states after a long run of being a assistant thanks to her ability in languages. She is also going there to ...more

Headed home from travel abroad and you run into a sexy Italian. That is the stuff dreams are made of and in Heather Long’s Single Wicked Wolf we get to live the dream with Murphy. And boy did I enjoy the ride! Giovanni was sex on a stick and Ms. Long did an excellent job of portraying that to her readers. I wanted Giovanni for my very own. He was sexy, he was Alpha, and he was Italian. Need I say more? The chemistry between Murphy and Giovanni leapt from the pages. He was considerate and made ev ...more

Fantastic Series - I highly recommend it. (12 Books to this point) = Overall Rating 4.5 Stars

I found the first book to be my least favourite - found heroine annoying and the sex a bit brutal, but Heather Long started building an interesting world with inter-related plots and relationships that became a series I could not put down - it just kept getting better with each book. (See ratings below)

One minor complaint - each book in the series needs a major edit of the Ebooks. There are at least a do

Single Wicked Wolf is the epitome of what a short story should be. Heather Long flies us back to Willow Bend for Matt and Shiloh's wedding. Shiloh's best friend, Murphy, is returning from her diplomatic postings abroad; she's been away too long, a wolf needs her Alpha and pack. Giovanni is a Centurion for Salvatore, the Alpha of the Seven Hills pack in Italy. Salvatore and Margo, the Alpha and his female, are going to the wedding, so Giovanni is sent ahead to smooth the path with Willow Bend Alp ...more

Another awesome read from Heather Long in the Willow Bend Series. I think Ms. Long could write a hundred books from this series, and I would want to read each and every one of them. I am totally in love with this series, and this particular book certainly didn’t disappoint me. Although shorter than most in the series, it is still complete, with the super hot alpha male, Giovanni, a centurion from the Italian pack Seven Hills, who literally runs into Murphy DeWitt, a turned wolf from the Willow B

"Italian wolf Lover"
Oh my Heather Long has done it again!. She has another super amazing book!. The story line is so intense and compelling!. The characters are fantastic!.
Murphy is a made she-wolf recently returning to her pack after being a translator for a Diplomatic attache' overseas. Murphy is about to board a plan in Italy for back home. When she runs into a sexy Italian wolf shifter. Giovanni Conti is Seven hills packs Centurion (kind of like an enforcer) on his way to Willow Bend where

Very satisfying

I will preface this by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. I very much enjoyed the fact that we get to experience a mating with no fuss, which is awesome. While I very much liked the story overall, the ending was a bit abrupt, which was a bummer. Oddly enough, I would have thought the playboy Giovanni would be more stubborn about settling down, but there was almost no discussion. So really that aspect of the ending threw me off because I wanted more (not more strife, but mor

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Okay, I LOVED this story! Murphy DeWitt is a great character in that she is smart, determined, and a “turned” wolf still learning some little things about her wolf. She is a translator and has been traveling the world and hasn’t been home, with her pack, in years. During her journey home, she – literally – runs into Giovanni Conti, a Centurion with the Seven Hills (Italian) pack. The story that follows is about their trip (that has ...more

Murphy DeWitt was finally heading home after being an attache/translator in Europe for 2 years. At the airport she encounters a deviously handsome Centurion for the Italian alpha. Giovanni Conti is on his way to Willow Bend to clear the path for his alpha to attend a wedding. Meeting up with a sexy shewolf while going to his flight was an added bonus. Hot and heavy things get between the 2 and then some.

Single Wicked Wolf

I love the werewolf culture. This was a great quick read for me, starting with Murphy going home for her best friend’s wedding, enroute she meets Giovanni and the attraction is instant. While dealing with pack politics, her friend’s wedding, and her alpha and Giovanni’s there is a wonderful story in there. It is not a stand alone book, there are other books in the series but it can be read as a standalone

DESTINY AT ITS BEST
Murphy is on her way to Willow Bend for a friend's wedding and is in need of a pretend boyfriend that her family is expecting. She literally crashes into Giovanni at the airport and learns he is a werewolf too and also on his way to Willow Bend ahead of his pack's Alpha and his mate. The fun begins and Giovanni may have just found his mate. Love the chemistry between these two. This is a great addition to the series. Can't wait for the next one. I received this book as a gift

Giovanni Conti (Seven Hills in Italy) & Murphy DeWitt (Willow Bend)

Okay..... where can I get my own Giovanni Conti??? Oh wait, never mind. Already married. lol.

Murphy & Giovanni run into each other at the airport in Italy. What they expect to be a fun little fling is much more. This book is a great addition to the Willow Bend series. It's a sexy, fun & quick paced read that will leave you wanting more from Willow Bend.

Absolute fun! When these two meet the connection is instant and sultry. There is a great push and pull between Giovanni and Murphy, they are both strong and feisty characters and they absolutely make the story. There's not much drama and angst in the story and it's so much lighter and fun because of it. This is a great afternoon read that will leave you smiling after its done!

Received a copy for an honest review.

Moving around Europe to translate languages has its moments. You can see just about all the sites, but also being cooped because certain wolves don't care. After a long stay away from her family Murphy can't wait to get home and visit family. But running into a hunky wolf called Giovanni has it perks and not to mention he is going her way too. Will they be able to stay together and be happy. Or will outside forces keep them apart....

Wolf game of cat and mouse
While on her way home after two years a broad working as a translator, Murphy meets Giovanni at the airport. Giovanni is on his way to Willow Bend in preparation for his Alpha to attend a wedding there. The two hit it off and have some fun. Once they get to willow Bend the two go separate ways but both seem to be missing the other. This is a wonderfully well written fun and flirty love story.

USA Today bestselling author Heather Long likes long walks in the park, science fiction, superheroes, Marines, and men who aren’t douche bags. She writes snarky women tangled in romance as hot as Texas summertime. From paranormal historical westerns to contemporary military romance, Heather might switch genres, but one thing is true in all of her stories—the characters drive the books. When she’s ...more
