Okay, so I finished this book is less than 24 hours, so I'd say that I liked this story. I'm honestly not that big in the romance department, but Bad to the Bone was so much more than that.
Wendy Byrne did an amazing job to keep the book interesting, with both love and mystery in each page.
Sammie comes down to Florida, hoping to clear her uncle's name and get him out of jail. But that's until Enrique comes into the picture. Both of them immediately have an attraction to each other, whether the

This book had some dangerous elements to it and at the end took a little bit to understand why all that happened did. To me the way that went down and the using of Uncle Jack and Sammie was all sorts of wrong. So many people got hurt for ones blind desire for revenge and to get what he wanted.

Sammie and Enrique were both flawed characters. Both with insecurities that were results of past relationships. In the grand scheme of things it made them never truly invested in the hot relationship they h

Plenty of intrigue to keep your attention until the last word.
This book is a perfect example of why I love romantic suspense! The suspense keeps your interest, while the chemistry between the two main characters continues to help keep the story flowing.. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery/suspense!!

I enjoyed this book so much! I read the blurb and it sounded interesting, but it was that and more! We meet Sammie right away and she is sugar and spice all wrapped up in a beautiful package. She has come back to help her uncle who she believes has been wrongly accused. Right away she bumps into undercover DEA agent Enrique Santos and you can tell there is going to be more meetings between these two. You are given a front row seat on the adventure as Sammie tries to clear her uncle and meets dan ...more

Bad to the Bone is my first novel by Wendy Byrne. The romantic suspense premise of this story is what quipped my interest to begin with. I love a good romance filled with suspense that keeps me on the edge of my seat—Bad to the Bone definitely accomplished that. It’s filled with mystery, deception, and love.

Sammie Murphy left Florida for Providence as soon as she was able to. Too many bad memories, as well as the weather, have caused her to leave. The only good thing she’s left behind i

Bad to the Bone is the first book that I've read by Wendy Byrne and I was pretty impressed! To be honest, I would have given this book five stars but I became quite irritated with it in the beginning but we'll go over that a bit later.

I enjoyed most of the characters in this book. I thought that Uncle Jack was endearing and completely overly protective (as he should be) and the author absolutely made me believe that this man would do anything to ke

Exciting and action packed story. Sammie has come back to Key West to run the bar her uncle owns. He was arrested for selling drugs, but Sammie knows he is innocent and she puts her life in danger to prove it. Enrique is the undercover DEA agent that put Sammie's uncle in prison. Bad to the Bone by Wendy Byrne, is absolutely fantastic!

Sammie's rushing to Florida to try and clear her Uncle's Jack name and get him out of jail, so she decides to stay and run his uncle's bar while she uncovers the dirty cop who set him up. That's when bad boy Enrique comes to the picture. There is an instant attraction, but what makes things difficult, is the fact that they don't trust each other.

I loved this book - it is a well crafted romantic suspense that captured my attention from the first page and kept me hooked until the very last page. It begins with Sammie rushing in to try to help her Uncle Jack. He owns a bar in the Florida Keys and was arrested on drug charges. Sammie is certain he was set up and struggles to try to find out what happened while also trying to keep the bar open and running. She doesn't know who to trust and is trying to find the dirty undercover cop. Enrique ...more

I thought this was a good mystery. It's about a young woman who comes down to Key west from Providence to help run her uncle's bar while he's in a jam. She doesn't really know all the facts of the situation until she is knee deep in trouble.

The cop that she thinks set her uncle up on a bogus drug charge is turning out to be her her best ally while she is trying to get things sorted.

Absolutely love this book. It was read over 24 hours and I found it hard to put down. Wendy goes above and beyond to make you want to keep reading, she spins the story with twists and turns and you really aren't sure what is going to happen next.
I love the 'forbidden' love thing. It goes to show you that you can and will fall in love with the wrong people at the wrong time.

I didn't hate this book. I didn't love it, either. I struggled to get through it because I felt like nothing happened and what was happening was too predictable for me. The writing was tight and the editing was solid. A lot of people read the book and really liked it so I had high hopes that I would enjoy it much more than I did. I liked the characters, I just couldn't get into the book. But I did stick with it until the end.
