Filled with photographs showing tattoo artists at work as well as some of their designs--on paper and on skin--this book provides readers with another possible job to consider. The author gives a brief history of tattoos as well as explaining some of the preparations needed to do the job well. She also lists some of the risks involved in working as a tattoo artist and discusses how many tattoo artists consider the skin another canvas on which to work. I was surprised that there was little mention or photographs of some of the men and women who take that concept seriously and have had almost all of their bodies completely covered with tattoos. This is a job that is definitely not for the faint of heart or someone with a fear about needles.
