YAY, after what felt like forever, I finally got to finish this series!

And "Blood and Eternity" was very aptly named, because it truly felt like an eternity that I'd been waiting for this third and final book. ;- )

(Sorry, Shira, you know I love you, gurl! *mwah* hehe)

As this book began, Adrien had been given a choice. Remain in the future with Nico, after searching for him for over a century, and Pelletier would leave them alone to live their lives.

Or leave Nicolas behind, jump back into the pas

In this final Blood series book, Adrien Gilbert continues to gain control of the demon within himself and the ability to manipulate time. Together with Nicolas Lambert (Rousseau), he battles the vampire hunters led by Pelletier who seek to destroy the Council of Hunters.

Pelletier enlists some frightening help in his crusade--horrible creatures created through vampire blood who respond to his commands. The fight is a distraction from Pelletier's true motive: to force Adrien to grow strong enough

This series requires focus, focus, focus. And a recap of the first two books. Fortunately, the author not only provides a cast of characters, she also provides the recap. Thank you, Ms. Anthony!

A sweeping, epic saga, worthy of the big screen, this is the story of Adrien Gilbert, a Hunter, and the love of his life—all of his lives!—Nicholas/Nico Lambert.

The villainous cast of characters i

I have been waiting for this book for forever! I think i aged ten years! (Just teasing lol) This book was worth every minute of waiting. I will tell you, you absolutely need to read the first two before this one. This is not a standalone. Even though the author gives us a recap, it doesn't hurt to reread them either. Also, it has a lot of 'timestreams’, so you need to be able to keep up with info. I won't lie, I had to reread a few passages a couple of times. But I loved this book and this serie ...more

“Love is space and time measured by the heart.” ~ Marcel Proust

In ‘Blood and Eternity’ by Shira Anthony, Adrien asks himself what he is willing to sacrifice to be with Nickolas, the man he loves more than life itself. Once again he's shifted into another time line, one in which he has Nico (Nickolas) with him again, but Adrien knows that as much as he wants that, he's not sure he can give up his quest to correct the original timeline to right the wrongs caused by his and others’ actions.

From that review: " I always find it so hard to return to a series when it's been a while since the last story.  In this  case, Blood and Ghosts, was released in 2015, and I've read a ton of books since then, including many by this author.  Another factor here?  Shira Anthony's overall arc for her characters and plot for the trilogy.  Labyrinthine barely covers it.  It involves mu

3 books in the series all focusing on the same MC's. Interesting story line(s) that make reading all 3 books a must, none are really stand-alone.

I did not connect with Adrien as much as I did Nicolas and would like to have seen him play even more of a role in some of the story line(s) possible.

This is the third and final book in the Blood series. I was so excited about this book because I needed these guys to win. From book one there has been so much heartache, and the characters have faced so much adversity. The plot has remained fast-paced and extremely entertaining. The author has done an amazing job keeping me on my toes. I can never predict what’s going to happen next. She created this world where I finally start to get comfortable and then flips it upside down. Paranormal is nev ...more

This is – at long last – the ending we’ve been waiting for.

Can I say it was worth it? I’m not sure. I love Shira’s world building, her characters and I usually love her plot devices as well as story lines but in this case there was so much WORK involved. I felt like book two put me through the wringer and though we get put back together again in book 3 it was maybe not quite as “rewarding” as I’d have wanted it to be.

So – in summary – I guess if you’re a lover of action and adventure – with some

Shira Anthony is a complete sucker for a happily-ever-after, and rarely reads or writes a story without one. Never a fan of instalove, Shira likes to write stories about real men with real issues making real relationships work.

In her last incarnation, Shira was a professional opera singer, performing roles in such operas as “Tosca,” “Pagliacci,” and “La Traviata,” among others. Her Blue Notes Ser
