There are zombies in the Dead Zone and Juliana Norris is sent to take care of the problem. And for there to be zombies, there had to be bodies. When vampires are found to be the culprits, Juliana is sent undercover in the red light district of Kansas City. Lying to her mate, Thomas Kendrick, i

As “Blood Slave” was just released today, and me being in the mood to read something of the paranormal nature, I got comfy and started reading. I was only a couple of chapters in when I realized that not only could I not remember everything that took place in the first novel, it might do me good to reacquaint myself with the characters before reading any further. So I read book one, “Realm Walker,” then moved onto book two, “Death’s Daughter.” Hey, it's only natural. After rereading these two no ...more

Juliana and Thomas are finally in a good place when Juliana gets called to do some undercover work in an area controlled by another Master Vamp. She only thinks she is ready for this. This story will shake up Juliana’s world. So much fun. I really love these books and hope the author continues this series. I have so many questions.

Blood Slave is the third book in the Realm Walker series and it was awesome!
Book three sees Juliana being sent undercover into the seedy area of Kansas City, the area is notorious because of the vampire who controls the area and that he allows his vampires to feed from and addict humans to them, something that isn’t allowed in Thomas’s area. There has been a zombie problem in Juliana’s patrol area and when they all tie back to Kansa

Juliana is required to go undercover in a city that is outside of Thomas' territory. She decides to leave without telling him where she is going, but that may lead to a horrible mistake before long. She must do what she can to find out who is murdering these women and stop it before she's the next victim.

This book was really good. I felt bad for Thomas though, but other than that I really thought it was good. It was interesting to see the different vampires, and I really enjoyed Juliana and Tho

I like the series except that Julianna takes undue risk to herself and l place herself in constant danger.

Will we find out her back ground, where she was 12 years before Thomas found her.

Why does the author end the books so abruptly?

Juliana Norris is still reeling from the loss of her sister-in-law during Juliana’s investigation into The Thief. Juliana blames herself, citing that she should have seen some kind of sign as to who the killer was. Although, no one else (except maybe for her niece Rachel) blames Juliana.

When zombies start showing up in the Dead Zone—an area of land where no life is permitted—of course this draws the attention of the Agency. When said zombies then turn out

Juliana Norris is back and part of an undercover operation that takes her into the heartland of a different vampire master. Women keep showing up in the Dead Zone dead, drained of their blood, and covered in bite marks - some have even become zombies. In order to find out who is responsible, Juliana must attempt to fit into the debauchery that is the red light district, even if it means she ends up working directly for none other than Charles Morgan.

As per usual - ask Juliana and she'll tell you

If she was keeping something from him, it was Agency business. And it most likely meant she was about to do something that would put her in jeopardy. Again.

So far, Blood Slave has been the best book in the series, by far. Everything about it made me want to know what was coming next. I didn't just know how it was going to go because I had seen it a million times before, only a couple hundr

Although I love this series, I have to say I couldn't read them back to back due to the heroine's need to always be the saviour. It actually started to get on my nerves with how ridiculous she was becoming in her god complex to fix everything.

She needs to tone it down and become more believable or make her smarter because she should have connected the dots to this case way sooner - she is either good at her job (not really seen in this book) or not to support her ability to save the day - in thi

This is an outstanding urban fantasy and I was grabbed from the very first word of the first book. Julianna is a character that I have come to love and I so enjoy experiencing the ups and downs of her life alongside her. She constantly grows, both in herself and with her relationships, most notably that of her mate Thomas - oh boy what a man (sorry vampire) is he. It is completely refreshing to see a relationship in an urban fantasy this steadfast, don't get me wrong they have their problems, bu ...more

Series Review posted on my blog Live Laugh & Love Books

Reading the Realm Walker series was incredible from the beginning to the end. I loved everything about it and as soon as I was done with one I moved right on to the next! Kathleen Collins has created a great world full of amazing characters.

The story was well written and rarely got boring. It had a great flow too, not to fast but not too slow. Juliana and Thomas are A-FREAKING-MAZING!!!! I LOVE them, her with her badassness and him with his

>Book Review – Blood Slave –

>This novel is the third in the Realm Walker Series. I did not read the first two books in the series, but it was easy to dive right into this story and not feel lost.

>Enter the world where vampires, werewolves and mages exist, amongst other fantasy beings. Juliana is a type of magic divining rod. She works for a type of otherworldly FBI. Her job is dangerous and her mate wants to protect her. Her mate is a vampire, Thomas, who is the head over a huge chunk of Midwe

2 Sentence Plot Synopsis:

After a small horde of zombies appear Juliana has to go undercover in a town that thrives off of money made on drugs, sex, and blood.

It’s already a dangerous mission, but it gets worse because it also requires her to leave her mate’s territory and live in the shadow of a truly monstrous vampire.

It was during the course of this book that I realize I had somehow come to like Juliana’s vampire lover, Thomas. And because of how this story plays out, I wanted him to be around

Juliana is at it again in BLOOD SLAVE. Bodies are showing up in the Dead Zone and they are rising again as Zombies along with a Zombie Pomeranian. They trace the bodies to a town in the Mid West, Kansas City. Now Juliana and Nathaniel are going undercover in Kansas City to see who is involved in these deaths. She will have to do it without telling Thomas, because it is in a rival Vampires town. He would want to follow the rules in dealing with another Vampire Boss, but when things go wrong she h ...more

*I was provided a complementary copy in exchange for an honest review.

So, here we are in the next of the series for Thomas and Juliana. Juliana is sent undercover and she just isn't very honest with Thomas about it. I so thought we were past that!
When she finally lets him in, it just may be too late....
Juliana continues to be the SUPER STRONG alpha female and Thomas is 100% alpha male.... what collisions they create!

An exciting storyline keeps your interest the whole way through. I had fun reading and the Pomeranian zombie is a funny touch. The characters personalities are believable and easy to get into. Thomas is quite the understanding guy I tell you what. I don't think many people would take it so easy on their mate for putting up shields while leaving town like Juliana did. The ending ties up nice without leaving you hanging. I was given this story for an honest review and this is mine. ...more

Let's give it 3.5. I liked it, especially since the situation Juliana found herself in was legitimately more dangerous. That being said, I wanted more danger. We've never really seen her get into an old fashioned brawl, and while it's constantly reiterated that she can take care of herself, it's never really seen. I also feel like there were a lot of loose ends that weren't tied up, but this is a new series for me so I don't know if the author will come back to them or not. ...more

I saw this book randomly on my Twitter feed and decided to give it a shot. Collins does a good job with her characters and the world in which they inhabit. There are plenty of vampires, mages, zombies and all kinds of other supernatural beings, so if you are into those types of characters you'll enjoy this book. It was well written and I breezed through it pretty quickly. Give it a read. ...more

Poor Juliana

At first I was aggravated with Juliana because she really believed she was undercover. She always gives Thomas a hard time, yet he anyways seems to be loving and understanding. I love her father. It was sad to "see" Juliana victimized again. I did enjoy the book and an looking forward to the next one.

Kathleen Collins has been writing since Kindergarten. And while her ability has drastically improved, her stories are still about fantasy worlds and the people who play in them. The rare instances that she actually finds some spare time, she spends it playing with her two boys. Three if you count her husband. She is currently hard at work on her next book.
