*Mild spoilers*

In the spirit of the open and honest review I promised Kayla in exchange for an ARC of Obsession By Treaty, I have a confession to make:

I was not sure I was going to enjoy this novel as much as the others. Why? *Ahem* I've grown addicted to the seductive Qui. True story: I swear, their pheromones have travelled through the internet and lodged themselves in my brain via my downloaded Kindle copy... In short; I wanted Otlu's story. Or Fitar 's. Or the continuation of Jaden & Sonil's
Dark, twisted, and dangerous. Kayla Stonor's Obsession by Treaty tells a story of how far one woman will go to get the one she loves.

Major Darby McCabe and Colonel Ethan Saracen are soldiers in the United Regions Forces. Working side by side, spending so much time in close quarters, they know and understand one another. They are also both fighting an attraction to one another. On a mission called the Petra Mission, in the region formerly known as Mongolia, they are tasked with sorting through w

I received a free advance review copy from Kayla in exchange for your honest review.

WOW that was one dark ride, here I thought the previous book in the series was dark, but this one topped it. There is a warning at the very start of the book, so please read that before you continue.

Even with the added darkness I was transfixed to Darby & Ethan's story, based on a war torn Earth & not actually in space it was harder to let the actions happening in the story pass. But I found the conviction made b

I can't even say much about this book without giving away all the best parts of it. This book is dark, thrilling, twisted, and emotionally intense, so much so that your book hangover will be one that requires a glass of wine and a smoke. I didn't want to put this book down, when I did I was desperate to get back and see what was going to happen next. The whole book took on a life of it's own and you can't help but get sucked in and emotionally shredded by the events of the book. From start to fi ...more

This is a standalone novel. It does however advance the overall story in glimpses of what had happened prior to this point. This story seems even darker than those that came before it, maybe because both the main characters involved are human. The pacing is perfect to allow you to savor every dark moment or contemplate what is happening to them. The characters are very well drawn and pull you in because they have personalities that make the

Another intense ride in the Qui storyline, this time though the story revolves around two humans and takes place mostly on earth. This time between Darby and Ethan. After a mission sees her getting possessed by a Susharian artefact that enhances one's feeling for another to the point of possession. Darby goes off on a mission designed to humble the man she's been in love with secretly for years after working together. Designing

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Wowza! If ever there was a time to feel like you have gone through an emotional washing machine this is it. Darby is Ethan's subordinate in the military and they harbor feelings on each other that neither has ever acted upon. Until Darby is exposed to an alien device that twists how she feels into a dark twisted obsession. Ethan is a strong, prideful soldier and does not easily break from the torture and sex that Darby subjects him ...more

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holy shiznit! Ms. Stonor has outdone herself with this one! *swoons and hits the floor with a thud* With twists and turns, this dark and psychological thriller sucks you in from page one and takes you on a roller coaster of emotions with themes/topics not meant for the faint hearted. While this story focus’ more on the two featured humans and their interactions and less on the “alien-ness” of the series if you will, with the exception of the

Major Darby McCay has loved Colonel Ethan Saracen for a long time and he had lusted after her. Everything changes on the day that she picks up a pebble. The pebble is not what it seems. It's a piece of alien technology that influences the holder and plays on their darkest fantasies. Darbi kidnaps Ethan and begins to break him down by torture and sexual sadism. She thinks that she can keep this a secret but the nanotechnology that she develops in order to control the Colonel is coveted by many ot ...more

***Gritty, intense, and emotional***
This book had me at the edge of my seat. Wow! This book was dangerous, disturbing, and electrifying. Darby wants to possess Ethan in such a bad way, that the way she does it is so fast and terrifying, Ethan never stood a chance. Darby's enslavement of Ethan was very creative and creepy. You can feel and sense Ethan's fear throughout the pages of this book. As you experience Darby's downfall into madness and absolute power (power over Ethan), these unnerving

This story was the only one missing from my collection and so I delved right in. I was no longer dealing with aliens being attracted to humans through pheromones, nope. I was dealing with humans being influenced by alien technology. Yea, it was hot, sexy, and a little rough and I find myself to be a totally disturbed person because I liked it. It was crazy how this chick didn't feel until too late. We’re dealing with rape if you want to get technical. And it makes you then question whether or no ...more
