*I received a review copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and this has in no way affected my review.*

When I requested this book, I was well aware it said Christian but I hoped that this one wouldn't be one of those sappy (is that the right word?) religious novels - it was. I'm religious but I'm not the type to say "God made me choose this path because of His love for me." or something like that every so often.

The other reason I didn't like this book was because the plot was basi

Have to be totally honest, this is a beautiful poignant, heartwarming catch up with Madison &Chase from Bk1.

I don't know how I had missed reading Entertaining Angels as I do seek out books by this author as I do enjoy her writing style. I actually bought an e-copy of Entertaining Angels to read first as this is a novella about the same characters. After reading entertaining angels I did want to know how the main characters were doing so

Before We Say I Do is a wonderful heart felt book with an array of different emotions. As I set down to read this book I realized that it maybe a short story but it was in no way lacking in depth or in the power to pull me into it's embrace. Seeing Maddy in my mind the ever nervous jitters before walking down the isle was something special. Chase having butterflies and nerves raw and on edge not only for finally being able to marry the girl of his dreams but then dealing with unresolved issues ...more

Re-reading in July 2015 and still loving it! Another five stars, a great ebook that captures Madison and Chase's wedding day miracle perfectly :) *also really loved Madison's moment with her brother, Connor, so very special and touching*

Loved it! Love reading about Madison and Chase again and on their special day, just wonderful :) Zach is such a great angel and friend, it was great reading how Madison now has a relationship with Christ and has learned to love herself. It was also great reading

This is a short novella that follows up after Entertaining Angels. It is a year later and Chase and Madison are getting married but this time Chase has the demon to deal with...on their wedding day...his father. But Zach returns to help him battle this demon before it is too late.

Now the only problem I had with this book is that it is a year later. I thought that in Entertaining Angels that they were about 16 and definitely still in high school. But this makes it sound like they are in college a

The story of Madison and Chase continues on their wedding day! This may be a short story, but it is NOT lacking - I was sad when it ended, but I felt comfortable knowing how their story played out. I really enjoy the emphasis on forgiveness, and am glad that Chase was finally able to "get it" and really forgive his father. I am looking forward to reading all the Emerald Barnes has written, and can't wait to see more of her work. ...more

This is a short follow-up story to Entertaining Angels, and it fits in perfectly with the storyline. I love Emerald's descriptions of the demon surrounding Chase and the battle he takes to overcome it. It's another sweet tale with just the right amount of love, and, of course, we can't forget the return of our favorite angel, Zach! ...more

The sentiment and intent behind this short book was good, but not effective. It wasn't terribly well written, and lacked drive in the plot. It was certainly easy to read, and I'm sure it could be very enjoyable to some people, but it disappointed me because its themes had such potential, but that potential was wasted.
In short, this story is about two people, Chase and Madison, on their wedding day. I discovered pretty quickly that there was a book prior to this one that I have not read. Chase

On their wedding day, Zach visits Chase and Madison. While the average person may consider him just a close friend that the two rarely see, But there is definitely more than meets the eye—Zach is an angel, and he’s at the wedding on a mission. After all of the things this couple has been through, Zach doesn’t want unforgiveness to taint their day. And then Zach sees the demon, realizing his job just got a lot more complicated. Will Zach be able to help Chase forgive so he can start his spiritual ...more

This is the first book I’ve read by Emerald Barnes and even though this is the second book in her series, I think Before We Say I Do works as a standalone.

The story revolves around Madison and her soon-to-be husband Chase as they prepare for their wedding day. Their old friend, Zach, who happens to be an angel comes to town for the big day. The three reunite and bask in the joyous occasion, unaware that Zach is on a mission to help Chase make amends with his estranged father.

I loved the story an

I received this book in return for an honest review.

I'm so in love with this story. I loved it picked up a few years later but was still informative enough for you to imagine how things went in the past years. I absolutely love Emerald's writing. It just flows and both of these books were so fast paced and went perfectly together. You didn't want to miss a word of it.
I loved this story, I guess I'm a sucker for happy endings Lol It was great to see all the characters back in action but now I mi

I give Before We Say I Do by Emerald Barnes 5 out of 5 stars. Before We Say I Do is a sweet reunion of the Entertaining Angels characters. It was great to meet up with everyone again and see what they’re doing with their lives. I really appreciate how Emerald Barnes gets to the heart of the issues she confronts – there is an enemy trying to keep us from walking in the fullness God has for us. While Entertaining Angels mostly focuses on Mads’ struggle with worth, Before We Say I Do addresses Chas

Emerald Barnes' "Before We Say I Do" is a beautiful love story about the power of forgiveness. I found the characters engaging and believable. I especially enjoyed Chase's journey toward
self-awareness and his discovery of the key to lasting love.

Emerald Barnes resides in a small town in Mississippi and has the accent to prove it. She’s an auntie, a youth leader, a little bit of a nerd, a reader, a writer, and a family-oriented person. God is number One in her life, and she thanks Him continuously for His love and favor.

She’s also addicted to tv and binge-watching shows, and she has a thing for superheroes.
