Edgy and a bit cringe worthy, since I generally, *GASP!*, dislike politics. Still, even with all my personality quirks, I enjoyed this one a lot.

Well, that was quite the wild ride. Kudos to the author for actually writing a thrilling thriller -- this book was suspenseful and twisty and dark in a way that YA thrillers usually aren't. I was never able to accurately predict what would happen, and the surprises just kept coming.

The Fixer moved a little bit away from the focus in book one on Tess's "fixing" -- like Olivia Pope in Scandal, she spent a good deal of time as a quasi-vigilante, helping fellow students with their pr

Thank you Andye from for letting me review this!!!

Once again, that was an exciting adventure.

The story picks up close to when the first book ended, and carries all the same elements that made the first book great. It was full of amazing, well-rounded characters. All of those darky, twisty turns you didn't see coming or were in complete denial about. It got my blood pumping so fast, I couldn't put it down once I picked it up.

This plot was more politic focused than the last bo

Raise your hand if you ever felt personally victimised by Jennifer Lynn Barnes!

No? Not yet?

Hold onto that. :)

If this is the final book in the series, then I'm sorry, it was fucking amazing but I'm a little annoyed because 1) I'm sad it's over already and 2) there are so many things left open. :(

Good lord can we get a kickstarter or something to fund getting a next book published. I’m crying inside because there isn’t more!!!

I sped through The Fixer in less than a day… one of my challenges for myself this last part of the year is to read 6 books that have been on my shelf for way too long. This fell in that category. I’d heard how wonderful they were so mostly the delay in reading was just time related. Now I’m j

Wow. This one left me a little speechless. I'm not usually one for politics and that sort of story, but I was sucked in by the first book and couldn't wait to read this one.

Tess and her group of friends are interesting. I've always like Tess's headstrong personality. She smart and conniving without being horrible and cold. I love that she's all brains and that she's able to connect the dots in places others don't see. However, Asher will always be my favorite.

There is a lot going on in this bo
Jennifer Lynn Barnes quickly became one of my new favourite authors with her The Naturals series. When I heard about The Fixer, a YA Scandal type book, I rushed to read it, and loved it so much. I knew I'd need to get The Long Game asap, especially after seeing so many glowing reviews.

The Long Game does not disappoint. Now that Tess knows that her sister, Ivy, is in fact her mother, and she's also part of the prestigious Keyes family, she realises her life will never be normal. She continues to

It's easy to forget sometimes in between releases, especially with a new series, how much fun it is and how memorable the characters are. And let me tell you, when it comes to Asher and Vivvie, they are two characters (secondary characters at that) that stand out. In fact, this whole series is filled with memorable fun characters.

I was laughing out loud after the first couple of pages and had a smile on my face so big, that my cheeks hurt and because of it, I was immediately pulled right back in

The Fixer was the first Jennifer Lynn Barnes book that I had ever read, but after reading it I knew that I needed to return to this author. Since then I have read a bunch of her novels and loved them all, but The Fixer was one of my favorites. There is this emotionally manipulative aspect to it that made it clear Jennifer Lynn Barnes studied psychology and that background made her novels amazing. I had tried to get this sequel from libraries after it finally came out, but they didn't have it. I

Just finished this wonderful, soul gutting book... and I am a mess. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW! Everybody has to start this series. If you like smart, thrilling reads definitely pick up The Fixer books. The Long Game was an amazing sequel; Barnes developed and built on her amazing characters and intensified the plot to perfection.

Tess, our main character, is smart, determined, meddlesome, and amazing. She gets herself into many wild schemes and plots that had me on the edge of my seat. Our other

I desperately wish this series was longer than just the two books. It’s honestly so amazing but I hate how open ended this conclusion is.

I thought these books could not get any better but I was totally wrong! The first book was intense but this just blew it out of the water. It’s action packed, intense, emotional, powerful and full of twists and turns and high stakes. There’s so much suspense and secrets and violence and you know never what the next page will bring. I thought I had things figured out but

This is a soap opera, minus the escapism.

This is the story of how government isn't just corrupt, but evil at every level, all the more so the higher up you get; how terrorism is waiting around every corner; and how Washington shrugs off life-altering traumas when needed to showcase the Amazing Fixer Skills of one Tess Kendrick. (By life-altering traumas, I mean your standard kidnappings, political assassinations, and hostage situations, of course.)

Oh, and it's also about how no one in Washingto

Do you like Scandal? Do you like political thrillers? Do you like mind games? WELL. YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. But also, go read book one which is called The Fixer and is amazing.

So, if The Fixer made you swoon and made your heart beat faster and nearly killed you, I have some real bad news for you. It all gets worse in The Long Game. I had my feels shredded, my OTPs stomped on and my heart set on fire. I hope Jennifer Lynn Barnes at

I finished this book nearly three days ago and I read it in one sitting, and OHHH MY GOD - Jennifer Lynn Barnes has done it yet again with this sequel. I died and came back to life just to scream and squeal so many times as I was reading this novel, and I am still in shock. And awe. And everything in between because, AHHH!!

I honestly want this series to become a tv show. I think it's such a kick ass story as is and it would be so cool to see it brought to life. I have so much love for these cha

4.5 stars!

Last year I read the first novel in this series, The Fixer, and LOVED it! It had a lot of notes similar to the tv show Scandal and I was immediately hooked and wanting more intrigue and conspiracy to feed my addiction. I can honestly say this sequel pulled out all the stops to be an amazing follow up!

Once again our main character Tess finds herself right in the middle of a mysterious scandal rocking not only her school, but the countr

Loved this book to the core, I think I loved it more than the 1st one! Brilliant, as always!
It is hard to say anything about 2nd books, without spoilers, so I am going to be very very short.
If I could sum this book up, I would compare it to TV series "Scandal " & "Veronica Mars" in a mixture and I strongly recommend this series!
I pray for TV adoption, that has a potential to become my favorite show :)
What factor did I expect to play a role in the midterm elections? C-O-R-R-U-P-T-I-O-N.

Tess Kendrick is back — and this time, she's beggining to (almost) fully embrace her role as a fixer for the sons and daughters of the political elite of Washington, D.C. She's running Emilia's campaign for student council president, but, of course, when every other kid in school has a father in Senate, the stakes are much higher than in your usual school election. And then there's the fact that there's bee

911, EMERGENCY. THIS BOOK HAS OFFICIALLY DESTROYED MY HEART AND SOUL. I WAS NOT READY OR PREPARED FOR WHAT WAS WAITING FOR ME. Boy, did this hurt me. BUT IT STILL HURT SO GOOD. I'll get into exactly what those moments were in the spoilery sections of my review, but I'll start off with my non-spoilery review:

This book was freaking awesome! I loved everything about it. The entire story was so entertaining, and all of the elements came together perfectly. This book definitely had more suspense and intrigue than the first book.

This series was full of memorable characters, and I liked so many of them! I especially loved Bodie. He was my favorite character because he always seemed so level headed and managed to take everything in stride. (FYI - He's MINE! So back off.) Tess was strong and kick ass, and i
