The Franks move to Southern Alabama to buy their dream home right on the Alabama River, the house is beautiful and right on the Alabama River, but they find it is haunted, and the ghost wants them dead.
And this ghost will have his vengeance on them all. The book is great, scary and written at a pace that will keep you turning the pages.

The Song of Red Wolf the Tala Chronicles by Toni House is amazing. I love the relationship between the past and present. A young couple finds their dream home, but this home has a serious past. The property once belonged to Chief Running Blood. Chief Running Blood is the proud leader of the Mecklesh Indians from the Alabama territories; he has had enough of the white men taking over his land. In his desire to free his territory of the white man he orders Red Wolf to kill them. The two warriors a ...more

I just finished the book. It's really good. I don't want to give away the ending, so I'll say I want to know what happens I can hardly wait for book two. I love the characters and the relationships. The world the author builds has true southern charm, with the weather, the kindness and the helpfulness of the characters and even though the book is paranormal, it also brings in everyday life and everyday people into the mix, from a real life southern gentleman, a loving and motherly southern woman ...more

Cannot wait to read book 2!!!
A friend of mine recommended this book to me and I was so glad she did. I love stories about ghosts and haunted houses...and this novel delivers a scary tale that is a page turner. Its about a young couple that buy a home in a small town. It is their dream home and they get it for a good price...and there's a reason for that...the house has had many owners...few lasting no more than months...that's because the house is haunted by a very angry Indian chief who w

Song of the Red Wolf, The Tala Chronicles Book 1 by Toni House was a poignant ghost story. The cover was beautifully illustrated. Sadly, there were numerous distracting spacing errors in the kindle copy I read. Because of that need for editing, I gave it four stars. This does not reflect on the quality of the author's writing.

It's based on a true story. The characters are well drawn & true to life. I look forward to the second & third book of this series. Booger, the teenage

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have to say I really liked this book. Toni House is an amazing writer able to evoke strong emotions out of you. There were plenty of times while I was reading this book that I would be feeling my hairs standing on end, especially when it pertained to the room Wizzie and Billy had converted into their office. Toni was exceptional at blending the past and the present together to make this hair raising story of the ghost of an ...more

Song of The Red Wolf, Book 1 by Toni House is a sci-fi and fantasy and teens ya read.
A young couple in love found their dream house on the Alabama River at a price that was perhaps too good to be true. Song of the Red Wolf is a spine-tingling paranormal thriller, enhanced by the knowledge that the Franks’ haunted house was reported to have been repeatedly visited by a Native American chief with an agenda of bloody revenge against anybody not of American Indian descent.

This is a thrilling story of a couple who dreams to live their life in peace and harmony, with their perfect marriage and new home, everything seems to be a dream come true, until violent hauntings and sinister events begin to marred their perfect home. The author did a great job in introducing an interesting plot that will keep you flipping through the pages. The story is well-written and the characters are well-developed despite having a number of main characters. Each one was proven essential ...more

I really enjoyed this book which blends supernatural with paranormal in a story based on what may be a true tale. When Billy and Wizzie Frank find a home that is one they dreamed of but never thought they could afford, they didn't question the low price. That is, until strange happenings can't be avoided and the two, along with a neighbor boy, with the strange name of Booger, find themselves in the middle of a paranormal mystery that dates back to when Native American's still lived on the land w ...more

Toni House gets right to the point by opening her Native American ghost story (in my opinion the best kind of ghost stories) with a flashback of the deaths of both the brave Red Wolf and his chief, who is determined to get his revenge over all those who have harmed/oppressed his people - meaning anybody not of American Indian descent - giving a solid backstory to the hauntings of the Franks' residence.

I received this book by entering the goodreads drawing.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It is well written and the characters believable. The story is captivating and a bit tense. I especially liked the openness the characters had to the idea of being haunted and seeing ghosts. I also liked the fact that the scariness was not over the top and the characters dealt with it fearfully but were not overly dramatic.

Toni House is a very good writer and

Young couple Wizzie and Billy Frank move into their dream home on the banks of Wolf Creek, only to discover the land is haunted by the ghosts of two Native Americans and a giant red wolf. The couple and their teenage neighbour suffer through hauntings night after night until events finally turn fatal and they must find a way to end the curse. An interesting and different story with characters readers can relate to.

Thanks to Goodreads for a free copy of this book.
Song of the Red Wolf is definitely a page turner, a haunted house story with a lot of interesting background about the local native history. I can't help but think it would make a great movie.
I read on the back that this novel is for ages 12 and up. I think I would have enjoyed this even more in my younger years.
If you love reading about things that go bump in the night, this book is for you.

When I was finally able take the time to read the book I was unable to pit it down. Finished it in 2 days! It has the perfect balance of imagery suspense. To not always be able to know what going to happen next is what I enjoyed the most. Would love to have had more background on Red Wold and Chief Running Bloods daughter. Excited to read the next installment!

A truly scary story, ideal for those of you that celebrate Halloween!
Modern day and ancient history in one frightening novel.
I hope to follow the future exploits of Wizzie and Billy soon.

"Song of the Red Wolf" by Toni House is truly a perfect ghost story, complete with spooky haunted house, young well-intentioned buyers excited to be in their first home, and a situation that forces the young wife to be home alone. The setting draws us in with appealing descriptions of the elaborate old home, its adjacent Alabama river, and good old-fashioned southern hospitality. But the story has an intriguing twist, based on the author’s extensive research. The ghosts who haunt the property ha ...more
