I was really drawn to this particular journal because I am always trying to find ways to boost my creativity. I am also always looking for things to inspire me. This book promises to have 365 different questions (or prompts) for me to use. One for every single day of the year.

What is even more impressive about this particular creativity journal is that it is meant to last for 4 years. In the end, you will have done each prompt 4 times. Each page is separated into 4 parts, so you will easily be a

Four years ago, my best friend gave me the Q&A a Day: 5-Year Journal and I love it. I’m still going strong and it’s so fun (also sometimes hilarious) to read old thoughts to serious and silly questions. A lot happens in a year!

All that to say when I saw this option I jumped at the chance and if you like anything artsy, then this might be for you.

Here’s the thing y’all also need to know – when it comes to actual talent of drawing, I’m honest enough with myself to admit I don’t have much talen

I love this! I'm not a good draw and have been looking for a way to work on it; and found it. Each day a draw in this book and each day I am getting better. This book has different questions/prompts for me to use and expand my mind of creativity. I love look, the layout, everything. Everything about this book is perfect to help me learn and grow as a drawer!
I was given the book by Blogging For Books to review.

I am going to give up on this book. It makes me sad because it is one of those cases where it is not the book's fault. It's mine. I enjoy the drawing challenges for a few days and then... month and half will pass. I am just going to give up on it because I feel guilty every time I see this book lurking in my currently reading file.

Q&A a Day for Creatives: A 4-Year Journal is the latest in a series of guided journals produced by Potter Style, a "lifestyle gift" imprint of The Crown Publishing Group. Other specialized titles are aimed at moms, teenagers, book lovers, college students, and list-makers.

My first foray into Potter Style's Q&A a Day journals was

Q & A A DAY FOR CREATIVES: A Journal I’ll Actually Use

Book provided by publisher for review. No remuneration was exchanged and all opinions presented herein are my own except as noted.

I just love this idea for a journal. I am a painter, but my hardest thing is being inspired enough to paint something. There’s nothing better or worse than finishing a painting. Obviously, it’s great to finish but then, shucks what to paint. It’s not a probl

I’ve been eyeing 4-year (and 5-year) journals for the past couple of years, but there are so many available now that it’s a little overwhelming to decide which one to get. I also wasn’t sure if I would like the randomness of the questions. What if I didn’t have an answer for that day? But when I saw this one and saw that it was art-centered, I had to check it out. Over the last few months I’ve been trying my hand at more artsy things like painting, so I decided that this one would be a good one ...more

Potter Style, known for their interesting journals and quirky books related to games and literature, present their latest: Q&A a Day for Creatives, a four-year journal of a sketch-a-day with short bits of inspiration. Here’s how it’s laid out: Every page follows the solar calendar and contains an inspirational text and four 3.75”x3.75” (roughly) squares with “20_ _” in the bottom-left corner of each square. The idea is that one may begin anywhere in the calendar (say, the day you buy it), jo ...more

Ask yourself: Can I sketch 1,460 things over the course of four years? Of course you can. Will you?

Q&A a Day for Creatives is 366 pages of blank squares with short prompts begging for you to pick up your favorite medium and get doodling. The pages are set up into quarters, each featuring a spot to write the year so that you can remember when you started. The great thing about this is that if you draw only one thing every day, and that thing is in this book, as you start accumulating doodles
For the past three years, I've enjoyed Potter' Style's Q&A A Day 5-Year Journal. It's perfect for reflecting on your day when you're pressed for time, feeling writer's block, or lack an interesting topic. It's amazing to see how much my answered have changed since 2013. Really a personal time-capsule. I highly recommend it.

When I discovered Potter Style's new journal for creatives, I was super excited! I love to draw and doodle, but I lack the time, space, and subject matter to fill a sketch

I got this book through Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review.
I really love the cover of this book. While not quite small enough to fit in a purse, the cover of this pretty book is a flexible softcover--durable but not bulky. There's not a whole lot of space in each day, and most of the questions are better described as prompts.

That's not to say this book is in any way misleading or bad. In fact, it's the perfect gift for any artist looking to practice every day at their craft. My

Meh. While I love this series, I think the intent of this book is too over-reaching. In order to fit 4 years into one journal, the art spaces are much too small. I wasn't inspired at all to fill in the tiny space. Also, I don't think I'd find it interesting to repeat the same subject year after year, but since I wasn't intrigued enough to even do one square, I'll never know. As much as I dislike this particular book, I find the other full page versions of this a fun way to boost creativity.
