120 M. Stratton truly gutted me emotionally and brought back lots of memories for me. Two and half years ago, I first hand experienced the impact of what it means to lose someone close to me to cancer. Cancer is not something we think about it since we all think it will never happen to us or the people we love but sometimes when we least expect it, it happens. Reality hits that possibly life might be cut short. And whe

Yes it's a Cancer book but there's more to it. It's what happens when someone goes out of her way to give back. Samantha builds Last Resort for patients who don't have much time left. There they live out their time as comfortable as possible surrounded by others who are going through the same circumstances. They party, they dance. If she can grant them a wish she's all over it. Just think about it, what would you do if you knew how much time you had to live? Samantha is far from being selfish. S ...more

I'm not sure where to start...
Emotional. Beautiful.
It's not just a book about cancer and its destructive path. It's about living life to the fullest, not missing out, not giving up. It's about stepping up when others won't, filling in when others can't. It's about hope, too. About finding what your life is really about.
This is a story about Samantha, a light to so many people yet she's never truly had her own to follow until Ethan comes along. He brings a love she never imagined and a compassio

OMG what have you done to me M. Stratton?! I'm completely wrecked! How can I possibly correctly convey the emotions that I experienced from 120 Days?

Ethan McGregor has worked hard to take care of his younger brother since their parents died unexpectedly when they were younger. His whole life revolves around his brother, and making money, which he has surpassed his wildest dreams doing. So when his brother tells him he's dying of cancer, Ethan was willing to do whatever it took to save him, but E

This was my first M. Stratton book and I was super excited to get to read this one. The blurb gave me chills and I just knew this would be one of those books that sticks with you and make you think about life. I wasn’t wrong.

Sam and Ethan have both led very different lives but in some ways they are equally as withdrawn into themselves. Both have experienced loss, they’ve just decided to deal with it in very, very different ways. Each are lonely but have chosen to fill that loneliness up with so

"We all need someone."

This book was just beautiful. The good stories take you on a trip with them to their world and when they are well written you get sucked into it. I couldn't put this down once I started and it was far from a light and fluffy world. The Last Resort that the guests are staying at show you real love, real support, and true family once they come through the doors. My heart still hurts from the journey Ethan and Sam took

Sam owns and runs a resort for people with terminal cancer. She wants to give them caring and a high quality of life and hopefully extend their days by making them good days.

Ethan's brother Evan stays at Sam's resort and leaves a journal of his final days. Ethan goes to Last Resort thinking that he is going to uncover some kind of scam to swindle money from dying cancer patie

I read this book because it was on a list of books that will make you ugly cry. I sure did cry. This book has so much emotion. It deals with cancer and the lives it takes. Samantha is an extraordinary person and I wanted to jump into the book and hug her. She runs Last Resort where people go to die. There many things happen, some really great things and some really horrible things. It's a great book, an ending that stays with you and leaves you wanting more. ...more

120 Days by M. Stratton is a book that no matter how many times and ways I’ve tried to label it, cannot be placed in one specific place. It’s a book of love. One of hope and one of growth and change. It’s an emotional story that right from the first page, grabs a hold of you and never let’s go.

I began this book late last night and had to force myself to put it down so I could get some sleep. It is Saturday, but I was up at dawn and immediately started reading. I had to get to the end. I finished this book not 15 minutes ago and I am still crying. The tears are slowing but let me say that I bawled like a baby. Ugly cry is not an understatement for this one. It is definitely going in my special folder of books to read again and again.

The book begins with Ethan, a very wealthy and powe

I absolutely loved 120 Days by M Stratton. This is a beautifully written book about cancer that also has real life stories intertwined within. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I loved the emotional rollercoaster it took me on.

M Stratton brings us the tale of Ethan and Samantha in a highly emotional story which revolves around cancer. Yes, that ugly thing that touches 1 in 3 people. Right off the bat you know that this is going to pull you in all kinds of directions but in particular - the way to the tissues. There are so many instances throughout this story that catch you a little off guard and have those tears springing to your eyes. Due

This is my first read from M.Stratton and it will not be my last, this is a very hard review to write as I am emotionally wowed.

Ethan receives an unexpected visit from his estranged brother Evan. Evan drops the bombshell that he has terminal cancer and has decided he doesn't want Ethan to watch him die so he has come to say goodbye,

There are truly not enough words to describe how blown away I was by M. Stratton's stunning and breathtaking 120 Days... A book that had me messaging the author because this heartbreaking yet hopeful story was stellar. One day his younger brother Evan unexpectedly stops by and reveals that he has terminal cancer. Ethan is shocked and tells Evan that he'll get him the best treat ...more

I have ready EVERYTHING that M. Stratton has written & I love her twisted mind, so when I read 120 days, to say I was a little apprehensive was a understatement. I am use to demented killers, creepers & delicious ways someone can be offed. But this is a wonderful story to #LoveHarder.

Ethan McGregor is a successful businessman. He has made himself up from nothing. He gets a unexpected visit from his brother Evan, who he hasn't seen in years. But this visit does't end on a happy note. E

This is an amazing book of love, loss and the strength to move on. Life should be lived to the fullest, have no regrets and remember that love can heal you in ways you never imagined. After the death of his parents Ethan had to change his entire life to take care of his little brother. Evan became his world and nothing else really mattered. Now several years later Ethan has become somewhat harden in life. He never really has a private life or enjoys the small things. Fate decides to give Ethan's ...more

When starting this book I was warned I was gonna cry I will say I held it together up until 75% in I could already feel where it was headed. I don't want to you to think this is "Cold hearted Chick" I'm not.
When helping my mom when my Dad passed away 2 years from a Brain Aneurysm I had to be so strong for her since she literally heart broken for a whole year. I grew a tough exterior and learned to hold in my breakdowns.
Anyways back to this book review I enjoyed this story Ethan and Sam. I loved

120 Days…this is going to be a hard review to put into words. Why? Because this book was so full of love and emotion that I don’t think a review can do it justice, but I’m going to try.

Ethan is a man who has worked hard his whole life. He’s built a successful business. When his brother comes to him to say he’s dying of cancer, Ethan can’t believe it. After the funeral he reads his brother’s journal and finds out he spent his final days at Last Resort. A place he’d never heard of, but intends to

120 days….that’s like 4 months give or take. Sounds like plenty of time to plan for trips, set goals, get ready for the holidays…you know..the fun stuff. But 120 days takes on a completely different meaning when that’s the average amount of time you have left on this earth.

What an emotional read. I was blown away by the emotional roller coaster that this story took me on. I knew I was in trouble when just a few pages in I felt my throat clench and tears well up in my eyes. Beautiful, the concept

I am not even sure where to start with this review because this story will mean so much to everyone that reads it. It is a soul scorching beautiful story. I will tell you bring a box of tissues, and don't read lying down next to someone that is sleeping because you may or may not sob (you will! take my advice). Even though this book tore at my heartstrings multiple times it was still a beautiful journey of love and devotion.

A touching story about the terminally ill people who survive a bit longer than they are expected at a place called The Last Resort. A place where they die in dignity and do what they never experience. They come there so their family will not watch them suffer or they have no place to go.

The founder is Samantha Truman who privately funds the place. It is her tribute to her parents who both end up dying from terminal cancer earlier on. Their determination to survive kept them
