The second volume of Neil and Sues journey through the entire run of Classic Doctor Who.
This one covers the stories from The Second Doctor - Patrick Troughton.

Sue having not seen any of these stories before gives her instant and honest reactions to some of the best known scenes of this era.
It certainly shines a fascinating new light to one of my favourite eras of the show.

A highly enjoyable collection of Neil & Sue's journey through the Patrick Troughton era, appended with commentaries on the recently rediscovered episodes of The Enemy of the World, The Web of Fear and The Underwater Menace (plus the fan-made film Downtime). It was a pleasure to revisit Neil and Sue's valiant struggle through the world of black & white and recons, and I laughed out loud frequently at Sue's no-nonsense, frequently surreal and often insightful observations and Neil's ...more

The second book isnt quite as entertaining as the first (as Neil himself points out in the opening pages, the novelty of the concept had worn off a little by that point), and the chapters involving Gary and Nicol misfire (a fact that has been made very known to them by the readers of the original blog), but there was still fun to be had, even if, next to Volume One, it is the poorer. ...more

Have to say, it's a much more convenient way of reading the blog (much easier to turn pages than wait for them to load), and there's extra stuff as well. And it's very, very funny - do NOT read this book if you have one of those colds where the slightest laugh sets you off coughing or you'll be exhausted by the end.

What struck me most when I read this was how many of Patrick Troughton's stories no longer exist. Thanks to reading the Target novelisations lots of the stories were fairly familiar

Another extremely amusing installment from Neil & Sue. This one has the benefit of Sue's latter-day reactions to the recovered episodes of "The Enemy of the World," "The Web of Fear," and "The Underwater Menace," which are fun to compare to the originals. This volume also includes Neil and Sue's blog of "Downtime," although in general, it seems just as impenetrable to Sue as it always did to me.

It should also be noted that I read this one via the very lovely limited edition paperback, which

Sue is great once again!

The next entry in the ongoing adventure. Sue really seems to warm up to this Doctor, although her frustration with having to slog through so many recons hides a fever point. Quite enjoyable, and I can't wait for the next volume.

Volume 2 of Neil and Sue's blog books, and another fantastic read. I am so glad I supported this again on Kickstarter, and can't wait for Volume 3.
