Swamp Monster in The Third Grade recieved a for star rating by me. This story is very funny and gross. This book is type of a fiction book.

This story talks about a kid that is weird and green, so their friends don´t talk to him anymore for the strange that he is. He has a big problem because when he gets nervous he turns like a dinosaur, his mom bought a medecine to calm the skin so he once went to a picnic with his friends and decided to dive in the lagoon. When the friends saw him they went running. The five important events in the story was when he converts in dinosaur. The way that their friends accept and help him hide from the others. His mom was very worried for him because she knew the difficulty of his son. Although he ignored why this things happened to him, he tried to keep safe because he feeled embarrassed, it was a shame that he didn´t knew what maked him bad.

The most striking of the book Jake was a funny kid and has many friend that love him, Cassidy, Emily, and Tommy.

I'm looking for good books for my kids to read. This one was silly and sort of fun but not great by any means. If they are going to read it they will be picking it out on their own because I'm not going to recommend it.

My 6 old beginning reader loves this book. He has read it with help more than once. This book is much more advanced than a reader, but with larger font and a story to keep kids (boys too!) interested. Chapters are about 3 pages long and pictures are interspersed within the text.
