Scott Jenkins is charming, smooth, full of ambition and he has plans. Plans that don't involve being a 19-year-old builder, working long hours at his father's construction company, hauling wheelbarrows or stacking bricks in an underpaid job. But as with most things in Scott's world, the dreams and ambitions he has set himself never really go to plan.

Oh, Scotty... From the very first sentence in this book, I was right there with Scott on his complicated journey into adulthood.

Scott is a loveable character whose sense of humour is the thing that struck me the most in this book. His wit and charm get him through the tough times he faces. I loved reading about his friendship with Ethan Walker (the protagonist from book 3 in the series) from the other side of things. The struggle he faces when forced to watch his best friend descend into a worl

What can I say about Scott Jenkins?

A lot!!

It’s a story about growing up, and facing the decisions we make for ourselves, about regret and how love doesn’t always come from where you expect it to. Scott Jenkins is a great guy, best friend to Ethan Walker, and the youngest of three kids. He struggles to find himself in the melting pot we call life, until he finally breaks free of conformity and makes a big decision for himself regardless of the consequences. It should have been an easy enough tr

I don’t even care that the first impression they will be getting of their new neighbor is that he’s a paralytic drunk who mistakes them for Jehovah’s Witnesses yet still goes on to offer them shots long after they’ve

You know how everyone tells you that they wish you could see yourself through their eyes? And that we are our own harshest critics? And that living up to everyone's expectations can be so damn maddening that we tend to lose part of our self in the fray. This is Scott Jenkins. The young man with a smart mouth and sharp wit. A young man who doesn't want to do what his parents want him to do. A young man who has had to live under a different set of expectations than his brother, Liam, and is so afr ...more

There are certain traits which make a character relatable. First of all, they've got to have a good sense of humour. Secondly, they have to show vulnerability, without seeming weak. Third, they have to care, not just for themselves, but for those around them. Lastly, they have to make mistakes. They have to have flaws - flaws which you as the reader can relate to. Scott Jenkins has all these things in abundance.

I loved this instalment of the RTW series, because it shows us the personality and t

Have I told you how much I love this series?? The idea alone is amazing but then these incredibly talented authors came together to create this whole new world to grab us readers and pull us in.

The Road to Wonderland Series is a story about different people during the same time period. We get to visit different events that happened but view them through the eyes of the different characters. In every book, characters from the other books, make an appearance. It is such a genius idea because this

Scott Jenkins, this is his story one that spans a lifetime and we have front row seats to all of it. THe pain the heart ache the suffering of losing the people you love. The fear of the dangers that lie ahead and that he will lose those important to him. The fear of not becoming what he dreams of being. In short we read about his life.
Tis is the 5th installment of the series, and I can tell you that it gets better with each book. I love how even though we have read parts of this before, we still

OMG!!! I fell in love with Scott the minute he opened his mouth!Charlie Matthews took us through the mind of the loveable Scott Jenkins in a way that you couldn't help but fall in love with him. Scott may not have been perfect but he loved with all of his heart and was the best friend anyone could ask for. He never felt like he did enough for everyone but he really did. The scenes between he and Meli had you screaming at him but also feeling his love and pain. You may think he is a slacker durin ...more

What I love about this book is how much it affirms the fundamental value of Wonderland - friendship. The bond between Scott and Ethan reminds me of the bond Izzy and Paris have; no matter the time or distance, they are there for each other, no questions asked.

Charlie M. Matthews has done an fabulous job in portraying yet another great character in the Road to Wonderland Series. It's warm, heartfelt and even though Scott commits a big betrayal against his brother, you still can't help but love th

Fantastic book! I loved all the books in the series. Charlie Matthews way of writing is so real to me and full of romance. Her leading men always grab my heart. I knew I liked Scott because of what we saw of him in Ethan's book. I adored him when I finished his book.

Throughly enjoyed every flipping second of this book and series but I’m left with questions about all the characters and whether there is more from this series that I don’t know about as yet. I really hope there is but even if there isn’t this book/series is so stunningly beautiful that I highly recommend you read it.

Charlie M. Matthews is a hopeless romantic, lost in her own world of fairy tales and adventures. Mum to three beautiful children, Charlie lives in a small village on the outskirts of Oxfordshire, England. Between school runs and generally doing the whole 'mum' thing, you'll most likely find her relaxing on the sofa in her jammies with a glass of wine and her trusty kindle in her hands. A lover of ...more
