The writing is- meh, if best but the illustrations are lovely. The board book style is different from the usual which makes it a fun addition to the library. But nothing groundbreaking.

This was fun for my two-year-old, but I wish it had been around even earlier in her life, because I think it would be even more fun for a younger baby. I like how the animals are stacked, making the pages easy to turn. You can also look at the book just for the main animal featured on each page, or you can look for the other animals featured less prominently on each page. My daughter was more interested in the latter, although I am sure a younger baby would be more interested in the former. It's ...more
