What Hollywood Believes: An Intimate Look At The Faith Of The Famous

Rate this book
This unique publication shares the spiritual beliefs of over 120 top Hollywood stars from past and present, such as Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Madonna, Peter Jennings, Winona Ryder, John Wayne, and George Clooney. The findings are both fascinating and informative, with celebrity beliefs ranging from reincarnation to the idea that God is a woman, "a deity created in our image," or "a shaft of light in a doorway." To stir readers to think beyond the celebrities' words and examine their own beliefs, the author compares the celebrity views against the Bible.

I wasn't so interested in what Hollywood believes as I was in what the author had to say about their beliefs.
While reading this book though I was surprised by how many in Hollywood claim to be Christian. These people are worldly "Christians" and aren't really Christians at all. I won't name names, but one claimed to be upset by being called a Satan worshiper, but based on his behavior, it was a logical assumption.
Per someone's review of very little research, there are over 300 footnotes, so there is a lot of research in the book.

Alluring title but really just random quotes by celebrities pertaining to Christianity or lack of faith. Then, the author follows up with the Biblical support or lack thereof....Not a heavy hitting book but a quick read....

Pretty interesting book. It gives you a look at what various people believe. It ends with Comfort presenting the gospel.
