I love the Storm Lake West series and was so excited to read this installment. There’s a lot going on and Jack is in over his head. Paramortals are ill and/or dying, big bad supernatural being are coming out of the woodwork and Jack’s thinking it couldn’t get any worse. Wrong! His girlfriend’s estranged mother sweeps into town and the tension goes into overdrive when she “accidentally” makes things worse.

Jack needs all the help he can get so he calls on his fellow Navy pilot and current deputy,

Great continuing series with lots of humor and surprises!

Fascinating series of paramortals and humans living together in the town of Destiny. The paramortals look out for and protect the humans without their knowledge. There are so many wonderful characters created by Livia Quinn which makes this series so intriguing, suspenseful, and full of romance. There are also so many surprises that it is very difficult to put down this book until it is finished. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I ha

This series just keeps getting better. Livia Quinn not only writes about magic but her words are magical. I've stopped reading some other authors because their writing has turn to fantasy, and I've never been into this type of books. But this series has taken ahold of my interest and I just can not get enough. Looking forward to the next book, I hope it's out soon.
This was a fun read. What would you do if the moon changed your life in the span of a few hours? How about if that moon took powers and energy that your body needed to survive? The craziness that goes on in this space of hours is amazing, and the story flows like the strength of a storm come to life.

I freely chose to review this book as it continued a story I was well HOOKED on and this story is AWESOME! I liked that Jack Lang, the newest sheriff to Destiny didn't go running for the hills when he saw evil creatures that were alive and bent on eating him when they should have been in the pages of a horror book; coupled with the fact that his girlfriend was a Paramortal and his daughter showing signs that she wasn't human as he thought she was, it was going to be all he could handle when his ...more
