I liked the book page ornament idea, as well as the handmade, decorated pompoms for kids to make. The button cookies are adorable!

Excellent instructions with accompanying photos for each step. There are a lot of really traditional projects such as a gingerbread house, stockings, and christmas cookies but many have a fun twist. For example, there's a gingerbread house doorstop, paper card stockings hung from the mantel, and button shaped cookies attached to a card like at a store.

Other projects include a three dimensional paper cut woodland scene, antique style toy soldiers with moveable limbs made from old book dust jacke
