High-risk securities operative Holly Milano usually prefers to work alone. Having a partner is, well, annoying. Case in point-her current assignment with Kane MacMillan. They're working undercover in high society to retrieve a priceless diamond necklace.

And Mr. Plan Everything is seriously cramping Holly's fly-by-the-seat-of-her-sexy-pants style.

From start to finish this book had me hooked and I couldn't put it down. Holly and Kane are partners in a jewelry heist - they are undercover for the agency they work for. Kane and Holly have worked together before but they have different styles. Kane is a guy who likes to always follow the rules and goes by the book. Holly is more impulsive and goes with her instincts, which sometimes gets her in a little bit of trouble. When Holly and Kane have to pose as an engaged couple to get close to the ...more

Undercover with the Enemy by Sharron McClellan is a 2015 Entangled Publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

It was such a delight to meet Holly and Kane, an unusual pairing of people, who turn into an offbeat dynamic duo of sorts when they are commissioned by the High Risk Securities firm they work for to retrieve a necklace, which was part of a divorce settlement, from a couple who have ties to the mob.

A terrible gaffe put

Holly and Kane! The pretty much synonymous with the phrase "opposites attract" and they are pretty much hilarious together :D

Where Holly is impulsive, Kane has a proverbial stick up his ass and when they have to end up working together, their antagonism turns into something they both have been ignoring! And when you have mob bosses, a sneaky client and a family of circus comprising the secondary
The end was really cheesy, but it was better than I expected. The beginning was pretty great.

"We need to hope for the best and prepare for the worst."

Holly Milano, thief extraordinaire has been given a job.
The downside to this? Her boss is the stick in the mud Kane MacMillan as she so fondly likes to call him.
Where she's spontaneous, he's methodical. Where she's a free- spirit, he's the man with a plan.
They are total opposites.
They hate working together.

An unusual pairing of an impulsive and adventurous agent and her by-the-book partner results in fireworks in this funny and suspenseful story about opposites attracting.

Holly Milano is in the retrieval business - a fancy way of saying she's a thief - and has been partnered with her staid and uptight boss, Kane MacMillan for their newest assignment to infiltrate a high society gathering and retrieve a priceless piece of jewelry. While Holly likes to fly by the seat of her pants, Kane takes a more

Enemies-to-lovers AND an action-packed romantic suspense? Yes, please; and thank you!

I had such a good time reading Undercover with the Enemy! Kane and Holly were fantastic characters--a by-the-book operative and a acrobat thief who actually ran away from the circus to help people recover endangered goods--on paper, it looks like they'll never work out. And sure, in the very beginning of the book, they don't have a chance. But they wind up together on their next assignment, Holly makes a teensy

An enjoyable read filled with suspense, action and so much more.

This is my first read by this author and I have to say that I enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the characters especially Holly Milano she is a person that doesn’t think about the consequences she just acts on impulse and sometimes that is not a very good thing. She needs to follow direction and listen to the person that is in charge because the other person working on the assignment can be placed in harm’s way. Now there is Kane MacMi
I'm not new to the romantic suspense genre that involve fictional organizations in charge of security, so it felt a lot like watching people pretending to be agents instead of agents being agents pretending to be whoever they needed to be to fulfill the mission. It felt extremely unrealistic. And yes, I know this is a fictional book but not even I believed the fictional world the characters were living in.

Title Undercover with the Enemy
Author: Sharron McClellan
Stars 4 out of 5

Undercover with the Enemy is a very memorable first read with all the makes of a fun romantic mystery. With spice, action, suspense tough Alpha males and a feisty heroine who isn’t afraid to put the alpha in his place.

Holly Milano thinks she does her best work alone, tends to be a spur of the moment kind of girl, and isn't much for planning or details. So, when she gets saddled with a partner for her latest job, she is all but thrilled about it, but tries to make the best of a bad situation.

Kane MacMillian has been assigned to work with Holly on a new mission and before they even get started he is already bracing himself for a bad ending. Holly is his total opposite, she doesn't have a planning bone in her b

Lots of fun banter and bickering, steamy attraction, and dangerous situations created a story that was hard to put down.
Holly and Cane seemed to be total opposites, and they didn't play well together, since Holly liked to be spontaneous, and Kane planned everything, and wanted to go by the book.
This was a different kind of suspense story, since they didn't work for the law enforcement, but helped to solve divorce cases and settlements, with any means possible, skating on both sides of the law if

This is the first book I have read by McClellan and though I don't normally read mystery/thriller novels, the cover was so enticing that I couldn't resist.

Kane is an agent who has worked with Holly one time in the past and their mission was not a success. Holly seems to take too many chances and she doesn't ever seem to follow the rules. This drives Kane nuts but he also finds himself admiring Holly at times.

Caught up in another case together, Holly's mistake has them posing as a couple when Kan

A 4 out of 5 star read.

Holly Milano is a High-risk securities operative, a fancy job title which means she recovers stolen objects for a private security firm. She works to her own rule book and is not afraid of taking chances. Her co-worker, Kane MacMillan on the other hand is Mr By-The-Book, he likes to have everything planned and so doesn't get on with Holly and the different way she works.

With two main characters who are chalk and cheese, from the way they work to their upbringing, conflict
Another great Select Suspense book from Entangled this time with high risk securities operatives in a desperate mission that puts their lives at risk as they encounter the Mob, stolen government secret property and crooked politicians in a fast paced story which even involves circus performers! Great characters, including a feisty, stubborn, independent female and a by-the-book male add plenty of angst, turmoil and love to the story as they try to recover the turtle necklace before the Mob can g ...more

Undercover With the Enemy begins when Holly Milano is being partnered with Kane MacMillan. The major problem with this is, Holly is more a risk taker. She's going to act before she thinks things through, and doesn't really follow orders very well. Kane, however, is the exact opposite. He follows orders to the "T" and hates that Holly doesn't ever stick to the plan. These two have never worked well together, and now they forced to pretend to be engaged. N

This was a promising adventure that I wanted to feed my need for danger. The company was in recovery but not in a way you might think. The two who butt heads the most seem to actually make the best team. Holly does not take direction well with a background that everyone speculates about. Little do they know. Kane is too serious but will learn that sometimes you do have to bend alittle. When they are told to go on a weekend to get a item not all the details are given that they soon find out about ...more

Holly Milano has special talents which makes her a valuable retrieval specialist for HRS, but this drivers her current partner crazy. Kane MacMillan plans every move and he doesn't deviate. Their new assignment is to recover a priceless necklace. They need to pretend that they are engaged. Can they be successful? Holly is a unique woman. She was raised in a circus. She loves her family but is reluctant to let others know them. Kane keeps his life private. He has loved and lost. He doesn't want t ...more

This was a thoroughly enjoyable story that kept me entertained from the first page to the last. I particularly liked the way Kane and Holly were such opposites in most aspects of their personalities but it was these differences that made them compliment one another so perfectly. Holly is 'wing it' whilst Kane is 'plan it' and between them they get the job done. I thought the villains in this story were excellent as well, not too cartoonish, but threatening enough to maintain the suspense. All in ...more

I would lie to thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an open and honest review.

What a book! I loved it. It had everything I want in a book, mystery, suspense, lots of action and some romance thrown in for good measure.
Holly, one of the main characters, is a real feisty lady. She's not afraid to break the rules and hates to admit to being scared of anything.
"Kane the pain", Holly's expression, is almost the exact opposite. He much prefers

Kane and Holly couldn't be more opposite. Though they have worked together briefly in the past and have known each other marginally for a couple of years, the two tend to avoid each other. They know their investigative styles are inherently different. Kane is a rule follow of the highest order. Holly had an extremely unorthodox upbringing with has made her into a very creative and brilliant risk taker. When these two mix, they both end up frustrated. Unfortunately for them, an undercover operati ...more

3.5* read
This is a book full of drama, action, mystery, and suspense with the added aspect of the romance side too. Holly and Kane are complete opposites but are thrown together through work and have to try work together, so they do clash allot which makes for some interesting reading. I think I maybe struggled more with this because I didn't really feel any chemistry between these two till very later on in the b

This was my first time reading Ms. McClellan's work. The story is well written and I enjoyed the tropical setting. However, I felt this was more of a lust relationship than love. The banter between Holly and Kane was entertaining but the jump from dislike to love was too quick. The suspense and elements of surprise were a bit predictable. If you can overlook these things and just enjoy the story, this is a delightful read.

I loved this book and, if you are a fan of romantic suspense, you will too. It has it all, from a sexy woman in a high risk job to her annoying team leader than can be truly sexy and fun when he wants to be. Throw in an elusive target, the mob, and plenty of danger, and you've got a great read.

My only question is how did I not hear of this author before? She is very talented and now on my must read authors' list. If you like romantic suspense, you will love it - a perfect book for summer reading

Holly is high risk and Kane is no chances. Together, they learn to compromise. This story had a lot of action and the plot kept you interested and engaged. I really liked the heroes and their unique personalities and well as the chemistry they had in more than just a sensual way. The love was way hot and I loved every second. I am looking forward to learning more about this new world that Ms McClellan has created.

I thought this book started out a little slow, I was a bit bored wondering when it would pick up and get my interest. By the end of the first chapter I was engrossed in the book and enjoying the banter between the characters. Praying for a HEA. I don’t think the readers will be disappointed with this book. It’s a quick read, and I give it 4.5 stars.
