Life-changing. This book puts it all together - I've been to therapists for YEARS. I've studied Law of Attraction for YEARS. In one month, I have changed all the issues in my life to ease. Now, I did reach out to the author for a coaching session and she was booked for months, and I was given the option of using her sister/assistant Tina at a lower rate. Fine with me. ONE WEEK AFTER our call, the biggest issue of my life for the past 3.5 years had a major breakthrough. And, at the risk of losing it again (!?), it's pretty much a non-issue now. Today, I had my second call with Tina, on a different issue. Again - this is worth about 20 therapy sessions. I have a lot less resistance to the situation and so I can't wait to see the results, hopefully soon! Even without the sessions, I have to say the step-by-step procedures for releasing resistance and getting from one emotional level to the next are priceless (she actually tells you the gateway to get to the next level up, for each emotion). GREAT BOOK.
1.5 stars for the style and some interesting points Would I recommend the book? No. Recommend reading: The Secret or Abraham hicks or Neville Goddard or Dr Dyer or Reality transurfing
Melody Fletcher has a lovely writing style. She has several great points such as not stressing about it, changing beliefs and that you don't need to sit on a mountain and chant to manifest. So I can not say I do not enjoy her style, her thoughts and some of her points.
So where was the problem? It kind of threw me out the book when she got on about how she suddenly had the manual to the universe and quite simply suddenly knew it all. Don't get me wrong, she is a woman who is hard working and embodies from the start the right sort of mindset for manifesting your desires. She has been highly successful. Do I believe she was capable of knowing the answers instantly after 6 months of meditation that many other better manifestors couldn't? It's highly possible that she did but to achieve sudden mastery as she described it, I cringed hard. Sorry I did. Mr. Goddard while also a person who had a very good belief system before manifesting had a mentor and trained, like Buddha, the Dali lama and others. We can all manifest and we all are currently but having a better control of it can take some practice.
Now then not that I wish to be overtly negative over the book because it does have some points I like, I don't agree however with a lot of them. I can say with certainty, that you are better with the original books that this book takes from I.e The secret... Abraham hicks. I'm stretching to say your better with the secret but honestly this book just rehashes that, that's rehashing another book.It takes from Abraham and some off Neville even but it doesn't fully commit to other laws such as projection that impact Law of attraction etc. I found a segment that I just really couldn't sit with about manifesting people who upset you but states you don't have influence over people. By the fact you can bring them into a situation is by itself influence. You may argue to the level of control you have, while I will state 100% that I believe the 3d world reality is all from me, people are messengers and by projection i have strong influence. That this just was one of the many things that ruined the book for me and made me not be able to recommend it. You do have influence, don't kid yourself.
Law of attraction writing is very lucrative, their are many people in pain trying to get themselves out of horrible situations and recycling parts of books or saying things that you have no influence over X diminishes peoples ability to understand their true power and help them. While gaining many blog writers or Authors essentially blood money from their followers who aren't seeing results and subsequently becoming more hurt and depressed. Now I'm not saying Melody Fletcher is robbing her fans, her methods do work because she is using again other books. I just can't sit here and say buy this book out of the many many authors now popping up who are recycling previous books. If your looking for a companion book, Dr. Dyer who uses Neville was far more useful for giving step by step as a manual to the universe.
Peace people and bless you. May you reach your desires however your choose.
The author claims that all of the other techniques that are found in the other Law of Attraction books do not work, and hers will, however, she uses the same exact techniques, but just calls them different things. For example, her "spectrum of emotions" is just like Abraham-Hicks' emotional scale in the book "Ask and it is Given". But the book isn't bad at all. You can use the techniques in this book if they resonate with you more deeply than the techniques found in all of the other Law of Attraction books. This is just another way of looking at it as I did not see anything "new" in this book........just the same ole techniques but worded differently. But maybe that's what we need now.......who knows? Good read though.
I hesitate to say more, but I’ve recommended it to two of my friends, my sisters and bought a copy for my dad. Forget The Secret, and go straight to Deliberate Receiving for help turning yourself abd your life around so that it works for you and well. Instead of you for it. I suspect now that I’ve finished reading this book and clicking back to do some of the exercises my days of struggle strife and frustration are over. If I’m wrong, I’ll edit this review of mine, but I doubt it.
Extremely repeated, can be summarized in max. of 30 pages. The use of parentheses is totally abused, as the author is attempting to be funny by inserting many useless statements in parentheses every three lines! ...
Also the step of focusing on the problem first and analyzing it, will attract more negative vibrations, which signifies that the author is not fully aware of the presented topic, this will wrongly shift the focus and will lead to awful undesirable manifestations ..
The sole smart point in this book, is the point of focusing on emotions not objects, this is a very smart point, and a very important point to highlight ... Other than this, it is a repetitive book, especially when it discusses and re-discusses the emotions spectrum and how to move through it, it is very boring due to such repetitions.
Nothing genuine in the book, just renaming Abraham hicks termips, with Hicks' ideas rephrasing. I would advise moving to one of Hicks' books, most of them are the same with different editions, so pick any of them, one is enough.
Ah, BTW, I do not like to be called the author's little shiny puppy. "Dear author, I am not your puppy, respect your readers", I know what she meant by it, and that her intentions were good, but I am not ok to be called a puppy, the author should respect readers' preferences of not being animalized!
Lots of eye-opening information that resonated with me personally, will definitely read this book again to refresh some concepts. There are repeated information in there, normally this would annoy me, but in this book it was a good thing; the only way information will stick. Very simple to read. Also the bonuses are great, found them in the author’s website, but yet to delve in them. The one thing that I disagree with is the author states that emotions precede thought, I think it can be either way, most of the time it’s the thought that comes first.
My most often referenced book in my work, and the book I give to any of my loved ones when they're struggling with the "spiritual" stuff.
Melody is a gem, and I absolutely love this book. I think I read it in a weekend, I couldn't get enough of it, and refer to it often still, years later.
Melody Fletcher's first book, Deliberate Receiving, will advance your understanding of LOA principles by (non-quantum) leaps and bounds.
Melody's popular and welcoming internet home, deliberateblog.com, has been helping regular people get a handle on how things work – or don't work – for several years.
This book, however, is not merely a regurgitation of her delightful blog posts. It is an accessible synthesis of the process of manifestation. Melody takes us by the hand and walks us through the interior dynamic, which often – despite our intentions, however sincere – is actually working against our purpose. She shows us how our actual emotions, as opposed to our phony 'positive' constructs, are contradicting our affirmations, positive attitudes and, yes, our vision boards!
Her Spectrum of Empowerment is a revelation. . .an open door to TRUE emotional intelligence, the real deal.
Melody offers her considerable wisdom with kindness and wit – two qualities that don't always go together! There has been a great need for a book like this, and I can't imagine a better person to write it than Melody Fletcher.
I am not sure where you are on your journey to understanding the reality we live in. But if you were walking along and found a road map or some notes containing secret keys, may it be this book. Melody truly has a gift for pulling a lot of pieces together. Her sense of humor makes digesting serious information fun. Once we get some new info then we have to adapt and this is where her coaching skills shine through in this book. Regardless of the path we are on there are some deep truths that are worth reading and hearing, and this book is full of them. Thank you Melody. If no other person ever reads this book, take comfort in the fact that you have change my life and the life of my family and friends. "Must Read" is an understatement. This book is a game changer.
October 2022 I ha recommended this book to both of my children. So I decided to read again. Its nice to become aware of how far I have com on this journey. This is still one of the more powerful books I have read. It was worth the re-read.
Please, please read this book!!!! I know there are a lot of similar books out there but they just don't compare. Melody gives you the manual. It is a step by step instruction book on how to do this work. This book, together with her coaching calls, brings the whole process together. It is not the kind of book you read just once. To understand the workings of the Universe, it may require a second read through, but do not discount just how powerful this can be in your life.
I have read more than my share of LOA books and this one was truly very user-friendly. Melody explains in the concepts as if she was just sitting with the reader and sharing her ideas. I plan to read it again, and I rarely read books a 2nd time. If you are a student of LOA you will enjoy this point of view....absolutely delightful!
I really love Melody's work and this book is so interesting. I really have learnt a lot and have made and continue to make some really great improvements in my life. I am generally very happy and this has just brought happiness for me, to a whole new level.
Your best friend giving you amazing positive advice ... in a book
What a great book, so motivated to make my reality match my innermost dreams and desires! The concepts were easy to grasp,a bit verbose at times, but mostly lighthearted and incredibly positive.
A fun take on how to get more from our lives and what blocks us from success. Melody Fletcher writes in a very down to earth manner like she is talking to a friend in her living room. That is what makes this a great read.
I love Melody Fletcher's blog. Her book was full of insights and ah-ha moments. It helps put the LOA work into perspective. Going to digest it a bit, then read it again.
