Mannnn it felt so good to finally get the full story on Four & Corinthians. Something in my spirit told me Judah was Uri’s. The moment that housekeeper came by in the middle of the night for trash was suspicious. Theyd rather you leave outside your door til the morning. Lol but all in all almost every question I had was answered minus WHERE THE HELL IS XAVIER!?
This book took me through there in the best way has me smoking packs of Menaces markers 😭

Whew this was heavy … getting past the 25% was a hurdle but to see how author connected Uri and Cori life with other familiar characters was interesting. This was unique, and following Four and Cori from elementary school to adulthood only enhanced the story's impact. Robert, that wicked SOB truly hurt those children, and I appreciated how we occasionally witnessed the trauma and consequences of the abuse they endured. To be honest, I'm not sure if Four and Cori had a peaceful moment until the very end, but they still chose each other. Aubry did her big one I wont forget this story.

The way I cried LIKE TEN TIMES reading this book… BE READY. 😭😭 Because this book will take you through every single emotion and then turn around and hit you with a plot twist that had me sitting there like WTF. WTF. WTF. 😭

And the way Aubry brought in characters and connections from her other books??? A FUCKING MASTERPIECE. The way everything came together was so beautifully done. She balanced the sadness, the pain, the warmth, the happiness, and those little moments of pure joy so perfectly. The emotional roller coaster was REAL, but every single feeling felt worth it.

Uri & Cori… I just want to hold both of you and never let go. 🥹💕 My heart was hurting for them so many times.

And THAT LETTER. 😭😭😭 The way I CRIED! I don’t even have the words to properly explain what this book did to me. There were definitely some hard parts to read, but the emotions were written so beautifully that I felt every single one.

Aubry, PLEASE BE PROUD OF YOURSELF BECAUSE BABY… YOU DID THAT. 👏🏽🔥 And please go sit on that woman’s couch because I KNOW this book had to come from somewhere deep. 😂❤️ I can understand how some of this may have been difficult to write, and I genuinely appreciate you trusting us with this story.

This is officially going on my list of books I WISH I COULD READ FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN. The kind of book you finish and just sit there staring into space because you’re not ready to let the characters go. 🥹

Aubry, you gave us a MASTERPIECE.
Now excuse me while I go recover emotionally. 😭📚💕

Four (4) and Corinthians FOREVER

Whew!!!!! Let me start by saying I hate Robert. There are so many situations…… so many questions…..and then questions you didn’t know you had!!!!! But rest assured Aubry answered everything! I can’t recap this book without revealing things. Krude is my guy and will give you the comedy relief when you need it the most. I Love Love Love this book. Cori and 4 are officially my favorite couple! Well done Aubry! Well done!!!!

Speechless‼️

I definitely need to call my therapist after reading this book. I was not expecting this level of trauma straight out the gate. I also have to admit, there were times I had to put this book to the side bc it was hard to read what was happening to the characters in this story. Spoiler alert: it brought me joy to learn that a childhood bond, anchored in love and supported by a strong family unit/bond, allowed everyone to live happily ever after.

Okay…Stop if you are easily triggered!!!! The first 50% of this book was a lot and draining. I am not typically affected when authors give all the trigger warnings and I had to take a break damn near after each chapter. I’m glad I read some of the posts and reviews before diving in, b/c it allowed me and my friends to read together which eased some of the stress. So I’m not exaggerating one bit when I say this book is HEAVY AF in emotions AND Pages! Lol

Now that I’ve gotten that out the way…Aubry J did her thing with this book!!! Hopefully, you followed her instructions and started with Trenches, b/c if you didn’t your reading experience is gonna suck! The way she brought all the books together and pretty much gave us an origin story of why/how everyone was raised to be a killa was perfect.

4 and Cori will forever have my heart! The love they have overcame the abuse, traumas, and the evil as parents they have.

Krude is the supporting character that allowed me to get through this book! Without his crazy ass truth tellin, it may have been a DNF.

I’m stingy with my 5 ⭐️ ratings; but this book gets it!

The Trigger Warning Did NOT Prepare Me for This

I hate that I couldn’t get into this. I love a good friends-to-lovers book, and it’s nice and long, which is usually right up my alley. But come on now! The trigger warning did NOT warn me about the graphic child rape. That absolutely should have been included in the trigger warnings.

nah

I get the trigger warning that’s cool but the trigger warning should have included RAPE DETAILS OF CHILDREN gruesome details of CHILDREN torture… I feel that was withheld intentionally .. fucking CHILDREN… as young as 5!! just nah AND I HAVE READ EVERY BOOK LEADING UP TO THIS!!

I couldn’t finish!!!

I’m 150 pages in…. I read all the trigger warnings…. Got prepared…. And it’s just not my cup of tea. I can’t sit and read torture especially on kids for too long. I’m going to come back and finish but I needed a break.

Sickening

I want to respect the authors work and process but the beginning of this book is horrific and sickening! It’s one thing to write about abuse but the vivid physical, sexual, and mental abuse of children in this book is insane. I don’t think I would read something like this again.

NOTHING and I mean NOTHING could have prepared me for THIS!!!

Here is the thing, I get that terrible stuff happens in real life, but the reason that most of us read fiction is to escape all the messed up things of this F'ed up world. So, even though a trigger warning was provided at the beginning of this, NOTHING could have prepared us readers for this! I am not sure how this authors mind traveled to the gutter of hell to tap into something so dark and horrific but this book feels like a cry for help for real. Especially because even with me literally skipping chapters and skimming quickly through others, I still realized all the ways that help was right there for these characters very early in the storyline, yet the author CHOSE to drag this pain and torture out for an unnecessarily long period of time.

For the first 16 chapters CHILDREN were tortured in the most horrendous way. Then just as our nervous systems reset, she threw in more heinous acts just for the hell of it in the teen and young adult years. AND THEN she would sprinkle comedy throughout which felt like even more of a mind f#@%. Because after all of that- Not even Krude was funny!

*Spoiler Alert*
Corinthians had literal killers at her disposal. She herself was made into a killing machine before she even lost her first tooth, but for the sake of taking her readers on the darkest journey of our lives the author wrote a storyline full of grief and horror for literally hundreds of pages and 20+ chapters back to back. Who would find enjoyment in that!? As a creator or a reader, WHO!?

As adults Uri/Four watched Corinthians or had eyes on her for years, except the times when she was being hunted and in a constant mind f@#$- right? NOPE, not buying it. And in all her family's infinite wisdom and technology genius they never pieced all her trauma from childhood through adulthood together until she told them in chapter 50-something? Again, NOPE.

Time jump- 4 years later. No mention of the tormentors. For as long as they showed up to remind Corinthians she could be touched, they just all went silent for years and BOOM, now it's a love story between her and Uri -full of hand-holding and giggles and blushing and then it is finally time for answers and finally revenge in the last 100 pages of the 800 page book and after he gets shot!? NOPE and be so F'n for real!

This author has written many dope stories. For me, this wasn't one of them. The length of time that she wrote about such terrible acts towards children through the young adult years seriously took too much away from this story for me to ever get comfortable with anything good in these characters lives. I never settled into anything positive for them because too much negativity was sprinkled throughout the book for way too long. There were so many secrets and lies and the reasons never lived up to the offense. My emotions and nervous systems never really relaxed enough to enjoy the authors craft because for literally hundreds of pages she talked about every type of abuse towards CHILDREN followed by gruesome unalivings. This wasn't just typical gun-play y'all. This was VERY MUCH something else. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK- Seriously.

***ARC REVIEW***

I’ve never considered myself very articulate with words, but this book made me want to scream from the rooftops about how badly I NEED everyone to read it.

I’ve never felt the turmoil, anxiety, and anger coming from a character the way I felt it with 4 and Corinthians. There were so many times while reading this book that I was physically sick, crying, and literally screaming to myself at 1 in the morning about what these characters had been through (I have the videos to prove it lol). But honestly, I feel like that’s how you know an author is doing something RIGHT. You’re made to feel everything they went through, and it sits on your chest just as heavily as it sat on theirs.

The adolescent portion is going to take you through THE PITS OF HELL, so PLEASE read the trigger warnings and know what you can handle before starting this book.

The teenage and early-twenties portions will show you just how strong love can be. If you’ve ever read Aubry J, then you already know she does NOT play about that strong love. But Uri Strong? TOP. TIER. YEARNER. LOVER. PROTECTOR.

Through all of his trauma, he never lost sight of the light at the end of the tunnel—and that light was always Corinthians.

And Corinthians? Whew.

The girl who went through WAY more than you could ever imagine. Seriously, whatever you think she went through before reading this book, scratch it out because it was so much worse. She’s the girl who never truly felt safe unless she was in Uri’s arms, even when he might be the very reason she was hurting.

She is genuinely one of the strongest FMCs I’ve had the honor of reading.

And she’s going to show you that you can have all the money, resources, and people around you in the world and STILL be trapped by fear.

When 4 and Corinthians were reunited, I knew there was no way they could ever truly be strangers or “the ones that got away” from each other. They were soulmates made to heal each other, protect each other, and love each other with everything they had. And somehow, they had been doing that since they were children.

Slight spoiler: There will be moments when you are MAD ASF at Madea and Granddaddy. But whatever you do… DON’T YOU DARE DOUBT THEM.

When I say reading this book will take you through every emotion there is, I am not lying. Aubry told us that this would be heavy but I don't think any of us truly understood the emotions we'd experience from start to finish. Have you ever wanted entire bloodlines wiped out? You ever met parents who have 0 redeeming qualities? This book will have you questioning and recounting everything you previously read in the prior books. Everything is connected and that makes things a million times worse once the layers are peeled back. I think many of us have said online how much we want to know the origin of certain characters. *Deep Sigh* I can say my heart was not prepared for them.

Uri and Cori's connection is indescribable. Nothing could have prepared me for the what would unfold. Though dark, bloody and traumatic, it sparked something that neither could have imagined. The POVs of Psalms, Gentle, Kenbral, and others gave dimensions and depth that showcased the horror that most were living in daily. I started compiling a hit list from the start and I need those characters GONE. Sometimes those who are supposed to protect us are just as dangerous as strangers. Yet even within chaos, there is love, redemption, healing and protection.

Side Note: you will have so many conflicting thoughts about a few characters. Some may redeem themselves and a few can 🔥...... well you get the drift.

Aubry, you took us on an emotional journey with this one. This one pulls you in from the start. So buckle up and ensure your heart and mind are prepared.

Okay, first off shout out to Aubry J for this because this was heavy af my god.

I LOVED the character development in this. Cori and Four start out as two traumatized kids whose entire identity has been shaped by abuse. Watching them become adults and try to figure out who they are outside of that was definitely well written. Four spent his life thinking he was a damn monster, although he was a very sweet man omg and Cori trying to get HER back after having so much taken. I loved that we got to see the healing step by step and it wasn't perfect. Because healing isn't perfect! They were loving each other unconditionally while still acknowledging their trauma.

I loved them together really. This was so cute even in the darkest times. I loved when Four said he related to Free Willy because he wanted to get away, I felt like they went perfect together because Cori was a fighter too. Good, bad and ugly, they was beautiful to me lol.

Anyway, this was good as hell.

Perfection.....

Getting through the first part of this book is the hardest. I stopped about six times to get my emotions in order. I know Aubry said no comic reliefs but there were and much needed. Krude was 100% him and then some. The smartest one of the bunch even though Judge in book smart.

Madea is the Queen. Her and Gabriel as you know have many skeletons and the truths are revealed. She will forever be the best granny ever. Her and Corinthians have a bond many would not understand. I know we assumed it was Krude because of how hard he go for her but Cori..... she is her grannies baby.

Uri, he is my favorite hero in this series. He kept every promise. I mean every single one. Him and Cori are the best duo. I thought Mecca and Cross were beast together but NO... They were each other's peace and reminder, add in Judah and you have a family of love and support. I will call them The Incredibles from here on out. Born to hell and torchered by the devil but winners in the end. Revenge is sweet especially when the hands who thought they held the strings got beheaded. Next time they will find something safe to do. Well, there will not be a next time.

4 Corinthians owe me nothing but a good night sleep.

Twin Flames!

This book started so heavy because both main characters went thru so much in their childhood at the hands of the same people but honestly we needed to see their lives from the beginning to get the full picture of their love. Starting out I realized that some scenes were from their pov thru some of the other books in the interconnected series and that made me interested in the story so much more. Although there were moments of sadness and heavy emotions, I was thoroughly enjoying the story and seeing how it finished. There were several plot twist l, tons of laughter (shoutout to Krude being a nutcase from childhood), of course there was so much family love and can we talk about the way Judah loved his Four?! The romance and emotional connection that Four and Corin had was so beautiful because only they could understand one another & be each other’s peace. This book was written so well, with all the different characters mentioned it was not hard to keep up and definitely connected dots. Although it was not mentioned that this was the last book for the found family, it sure felt like a season finale that was well worth it! 4.7

Amazing!!

Aubry J knows how to tell a story! I loved this book. You know how some books are too long but you’re invested so you have to make it to the end?? This wasn’t that! It was nearly 800 pages and I wanted MORE!
It was THAT GOOD!! I found myself slowing down at the end because I wasn’t ready for it to be over!
I was really looking forward to this book and she did not disappoint!

She developed these characters with so much depth that I found myself feeling for people I was angry with and wanting more from characters I thought I understood.

Four and Corinthians’ love stayed with me, but Kenbral’s story did too. I would read a book about him in a heartbeat because I feel like there is still so much healing and so much more to learn about him.

And Krude? Hilarious. I needed every bit of his humor in a book this heavy. 😂 Something is seriously wrong with him in the best way lolol

This story took me through every emotion, and I was invested until the very end! Can’t wait to see what’s next! Amazing work as always!!

This was heavy..But the love was heavier!

This was heavy, both in trauma and in love. Uri aka Four's family was the worst of the worst. Corinthians aka Cori's parents matched that evil energy with a smile. Pure evil.
Uri & Cori 'finding' each other, especially in the situation they were both in, was fate in the best and worst way. Best because they found each other. Worst because they found each other in h*ll on earth.
This book was good and Four & Cori were meant, even with every brick stacked against them, they were meant. Soulmates and twin flames.
Finding out Judah was Uri's child was a twist that I appreciated because Cori & Uri raising evil Robert's child was a fate I didn't think they deserved. Judah didn't deserve to have evil Robert be apart of his story, and thankfully, he wasn't.
The way that all these families were connected needs a string board, because everyone is connected, even in ways they didn't know about.
Krude is still a mess lol
Psalm & Wednesday next? Script included? Maybe Gentle is next?

STRESSED

Whew this book stressed me so much I had to take a star off. But I guess we’re never gonna get a conclusion to amethyst and Yale ? Maybe this was it? I love a long book BUT there was so much trauma here I had to keep putting it down. Especially the childhood stop? I felt myself screaming at the book so much like just tell your grandparents. I get children are easily molded to be scared but dam. Robert was horribleeeee all the people they impacted? Crazy! SPOILER

I am glad that kenbral did what he did and Judah is four son, but dam. Something about him I still don’t like. I’m happy they got to live happily ever after. The end felt slightly rushed I would have liked to se them happy longer. And how when it was time they suddenly were able to find Robert? And that mama ?

But anyway, if psalms book is next I don’t need 300 pages of child trauma lord.

And Krude Genesis Decorte will always be one of my favorites. Love him down!

Heavy

Read at your own risk because about 35% of this book was traumatizing. It broke me. There were moments when I questioned whether I even wanted to continue. I knew the trigger warnings going in, but it felt like there was no relief in the beginning, just trauma piled on top of trauma.

I will say the author did a good job of bringing the story back around and getting us to a more balanced place because whew, she had us going through it at first. As the story progressed, things became lighter, healing started to happen, and the romance felt refreshing. At the same time, we still got to see how deeply that trauma lingered and affected the characters.

There were so many secrets, so many betrayals, and so many people who failed them along the way. Everything came together in the end, but I don’t think I could put myself through this reading experience again.

Uri/Four and Corinthians/Cori

Patiently waited for this installment of the series.

Please pay attention to the warning at the beginning of this book. The first 15 chapters are a lot.

Corinthians was let down and deceived by her parents for many years of her childhood. She does not get a reprieve until her grandparents become her guardians.

Uri was in the same predicament as the FMC. He gets a reprieve when his uncle steps in and becomes his guardian.

In their teenage years, Uri watched Cori from a distance. They cross paths in adulthood and agreed to be strangers.

As time progresses, they both can not stay away from each other, and they slowly build a relationship.

However, they both are trying to overcome their past as the enemy from their past starts making moves against them.

All the feels-every emotion:Uri and Cori

4 Corinthians was a lot in a good way. I have to admit, it was a hard and heavy read that took me through so many emotions. Four's love for Corinthian was absolutely beautiful. It is really something to love someone before you even know what love is, especially when everyone who was supposed to love and protect you failed you.

Corinthian showed such strength, courage, and honor throughout the entire book. Her character kept you hoping for glimpses of sunshine, and man, this story had so many moving parts. I honestly wish I would have reread her previous catalogue to refresh my memory on all the characters.

Beyond that, Aubree Nicole is a mastermind writer. How she used this book to fill in the missing pieces from the other stories was top tier. A job well done.

A True Love Story

Typically I don’t write reviews because I really don’t know how - I don’t have the finesse that other people do. But this book here?? This deserves a try. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading. It’s heavy, I’ll admit, and I wish I would have taken the trigger warnings a little more seriously. However throughout all the trauma birthed a love story worth exploring! Corinthians and Four love story started with trauma but was built on love and trust. I loved the way Four loved Corinthians and vice versa!! Robert was a sick something - his whole family tbh. And another thing I loved about this book - the DeCortes are always, ALWAYS step behind one of theirs!! Madea was NOT one to play with!! This was one of my best reads of 2026!!!

Amazing Brilliant Work fall in love with the Numbers The Bible Thumpers The Stones everyone

My goodness, this book took me THROUGH IT! 😩📚 From the moment I started, I knew there was no way I was going to be able to put it down. I completely devoured these pages in just two days!

The writing was absolutely beautiful, and getting to watch Cori and Four come into their own was such a journey. Seeing their growth, both individually and together, had me completely invested in their story.

I laughed, I cried, I yelled at them 😂, and I felt every emotion right along with them. This book truly took me on an emotional rollercoaster, and honestly, it was SO worth every single page!

Definitely a book that stays with you long after you finish it. ❤️📖

There are so many characters and moving parts to this story, and Aubry J. has mastered multi-character storytelling, in my opinion. Her characters share experiences, but each has their own history and perspective that shapes how they see the world and it doesn’t feel rushed or drug out.

Her storytelling reminds me of reading history and how the experiences of the people who lived through certain events shaped their realities and, ultimately, how we perceive and understand those events today.

And I NEED MORE OF THESE TWO! 😂 I know they got their happy ending, but I could’ve easily read another 250 pages of them. Their story was so heavy a deeply rooted in trauma, I need to experience more of them in their healed era!

This book wasn’t bad at all, and it was my first experience with this author. I enjoyed the writing style and found the pacing great, with the story flowing well until it didn’t. Towards the end, it felt rushed, as if the author was trying to fit in more storylines and wrap things up quickly. Despite the book being over 700 pages, the ending and the death of Robert seemed unnecessarily hurried. We endured the repetitiveness of Uri and Cori’s childhood fighting trauma, so it was puzzling why we couldn’t take more time with the killings of those who wronged them.

I’m encouraged to read more by this author because I’m interested in the DeCorte family and their lore. Overall, it was a decent book that could benefit from minor editing to reduce repetition.

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE IN THE BEST WAY THOUGH..

Cori was made to be a fighter, while Uri was born into a life of fighting… Neither asked for the cards they were dealt and both endured so much as not only children but as adults .. Literally more than anyone should have but What I loved the most about them was their connection…Through all the pain, trauma, and chaos.. Cori & Uri always had each other… even when they didn’t.. This book had me on a true emotional roller coaster… it’s Extremely Emotional, Raw, and Unforgettable

HANDS DOWN A 6 STAR READ

TOP TIER

I knew Uri and Corinthians story would be a rollercoaster.

This book was raw, powerful, and full of all the emotions. These two souls were definitely meant to be one. The pain and trauma was so real, you can't help but pause and take a breath.

These two are soooo resilient...and the way the Numbers and Bible Thumpers stand TEN TOES down for their family is a BEAUTIFUL thing.

I laughed, cried, got angry, and wanted to go in the book and stand right beside Four and Corinthians when they did they thing, because EVERYBODY deserved what they got.

Once again...Aubry has showed how her pen is UNMATCHED and she will forever be one of my favs.
