For a story as short as it is, Noontide Sun felt very fast-paced, but in a way that feels natural and unrushed, especially seeing as there was a seven-year skip. It felt as though I genuinely came to know all of the characters, even minor ones that appeared for such a short amount of time, and it really made me want to know more about each and every one of them. What the Heck Just Happened?
I have no clue as to what I just read. This story offers little explanation, although it's safe to assume the characters, a young man and woman, begin in the time of the American Revolution and are being condemned by a witchcraft wielding Major Cartwright. Nothing makes sense here. The tale seems to take place at the climax of a written scene. Again, not sure what the author was trying to relay other than time travellers escaping a watery death.
