An All-Access pass to Sex, Love, and Rock ‘N Roll. Because what happens on tour doesn’t always stay on tour…
From Australia to the World…
Chicago. The last stop of their wildly successful US tour sees Australia’s biggest rock band, The Screaming Tuesdays, in sultry, summer-time Chicago to play two sold-out shows. But the stage is not where the action is, and no one knows what goes on behind the scenes... Kelly knows what he wants. He’s known from the moment he first saw Jasper. But months have passed and he’s done absolutely nothing about it. Now, the tour is on its last legs, and the chance to chase his true feelings is fading fast. Can Kelly face his true desires or will he live with the regret of inaction?
Shona Husk lives in Western Australia at the edge of the Indian Ocean. Blessed with a lively imagination she spent most of her childhood making up stories.
Husk delivers an engaging M/M dynamic with a young, inexperienced bi-curious guy hooking up with an older and more experienced lover. The characterisation in this story was a real strength—both Kelly and his love interest, Jasper, were well developed and likeable characters who in a very short period of time revealed themselves as genuine, caring, and passionate men. Even if you feel that M/M romance might not be your ‘thing’, give Kelly a try. Husk presents an intimate exploration of the M/M dynamic but further to that, this story is also about the journeys we take on the path to finding ourselves. Check out Husk’s Face the Music series (also from Escape Publishing) for more rockstar romance.
I haven’t read any exclusive M/M reads before, but I can see the demand for books in this genre after reading Kelly! Kelly is curious about his sexuality and has been interested in Jasper for some time. Kelly initiates his intentions on Jaspers birthday, but Jasper wasn’t willing to do so immediately. He made Kelly set it up, and it turned into a night of hotness that I will find hard to forget! These two were great together, Jasper is patient with Kelly and goes slow to show Kelly how good it can be!
In this weeks episode we are back focusing on the roadies, in particular Sawyer's cousing Kelly!
This is by far the sweetest novella in the series. Words cannot explain how much I wanted Kelly to get his man, Jasper.
After months of living it up, taking the perks of working with a rock band, his time with them is coming to an end, and he finally makes that hail Mary pass on the one person he has wanted all along.
Jasper is another roadie who has also been intrigued by the young Aussie, but had not acted due to their age difference.
I LOVED these two! I think these are my favourite pair of the whole series. I loved how they were with each other, heck I just loved every single thing about them both.
Of all the novellas, I think these are the two that I most wanted to have a full blown relationship - I could handle a whole book about them Ms Husk!
This is a story of Kelly exploring his sexuality, and going all out for what he wants.
Lovers of M/M stories will adore this installment. The only thing wrong with it for me, was that it was too short! I wanted more!
This is the first I have read by Shona Husk, but I will be checking more out.
Review 4 Backstage Passes When I started reading this book I didn’t know if I was going to like it, but I did. The subject matter is not for everyone, but Shona Husk wrote a very tasteful, caring story about Kelly and his desire to explore his feelings. This is the fifth book of what happens on the USA tour of The Screaming Tuesdays.
Kelly has been working with the band during the USA tour as part of the stage crew. Now that the tour is coming to an end it is almost time to return to Australia and college. Kelly has this last opportunity to act on the attraction to Jasper, his boss on the crew. Jasper doesn’t get involved with people that he works with. He hasn’t been with anyone since his breakup with his long time partner, who didn’t want to commit. When Kelly comes onto him he is hesitant, he has only seen Kelly with girls and not only is he part of the crew, he is the drummer’s cousin. This goes against so many of Jasper’s rules, but sometimes you have to take a risk.

Kelly is the fifth instalment in the Secret Confessions: Backstage series. Kelly is cousin to Sawyer, drummer for The Screaming Tuesdays, and is working with the band during his gap year. Good looks and sex appeal are a familial trait for both young men. Kelly draws looks from female and male fans of the group just like Sawyer and Kelly takes advantage of the groupies and their desires.
Jasper is the sound engineer for The Screaming Tuesdays and has been with them for years. He makes no secret that he is gay and has recently left a long term relationship with a cheating lover who wouldn’t leave his wife and family. The tour gave Jasper a reason to end it and move on. He’s noticed Kelly many times, but he ‘doesn’t fish where I work.’
Kelly offers a game of pool then comes on to Jasper as the older man is solo celebrating his birthday. Jasper turns Kelly away, but tells him ‘I top’ before he walks away. Kelly isn’t dissuaded and Jasper tells him to rent a room at a different hotel if he is serious.

In this story it's the Roadies that are the focus rather than the band members, Kelly is the cousin of one of the band members and he is taking a year off and travelling with the band working behind the scenes.
Kelly has been enjoying the perks of being a roadie, and the girls were all over him, but there is one person who has caught his eye, and now that the tour is coming to a close he has to make a move.
Its Jasper's birthday, and when Kelly comes up to him he doesn't know whether to take him seriously.
So Kelly decides to prove he is serious.
This is a story of a young man who is discovering his sexuality. hat are This is the first story I have read of Shona Husk. This collection of stories should appeal to a wide range of romance readers.
This was a nice story. I liked the characters a lot. Kelly was young and just finding himself whereas Jasper has been out as a gay man since he was young. It was sweet how Jasper helped Kelly and give him a night to remember and then some. And the shower scene was super freakin hot!!
Definitely consider behind closed doors, Kelly was quietly checking out Jasper, little did he know Jasper would be open to his invitation! Their exchange, hot, sexy, for guys
